We had some setbacks with our timing but the contractors with Builders Interiors worked with our schedule and were efficient in their use of time and thorough in the work they provided. We had LVT put in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and carpet throughout the rest of the unit. They replaced our old kitchen countertops with beautiful granite which was perfectly measured and cut to order. We had a terrible experience with this company- specifically with their rep, Andy. At first everything was great and we were happy with the price and style of flooring we chose. This was a big purchase for us as first time home owners. We were assured we picked a strong and durable flooring for our current and future needs. Long story short, less than 1 year after install everything started to go wrong. The flooring had already suffered massive dents from furniture all throughout the home, it was peeling up in the corners and we had large dips in our subfloor that they had supposedly repaired. We tried working with them to find a solution, and the owner Teresa even offered us a discount on a different flooring, but then we were completely ghosted by the rep Andy. Our calls and texts were no longer returned and it has been months. 0/10 a complete waste of 10k+ for us which is a huge blow as young newly wed homeowners. We were happy with our bathroom remodel done by Builders Interior. Andy was great to work with and their bid came in competitively. The tile work by Rado and Mikael was top notch. They took their time when there were issues, and worked to come up with a good solution, rather than just doing what was easiest/quickest. Both of them worked well into the night for several nights to keep the project on schedule. Rarely have I seen such good work ethic. When I set them down on the front counter not one person (there were two behind the desk) asked me if I'd found something I liked or anything. Now I have flooring I don't like. I try not to have negative thoughts as I walk on the floor every day, but If you are not a contractor then I highly recommend going with a company that caters to individuals, not Builders Interiors. My contractor recommended this company, I suspect (and was given a hint) that contractors get a deal that is NOT passed on to the customer, especially when an insurance company is involved. I had a sudden flood disaster in my kitchen. I went to the Woodinville showroom as recommended by my contractor. They have many choices, but I pretty much had to help myself. I had questions on prices, quality, environmental friendliness, flooring care, and more. One woman tried to help but admitted she wasn't an expert. She kept telling me to call the man who worked with my contractor but he never answered the phone. I took home some wood and vinyl floor samples. I had questions and called several times over a few weeks. I was always transferred to the same man's voicemail. I left multiple messages and never once heard back. My timeline was getting shorter and shorter as I needed to have the kitchen remodel done by a certain date. I went back to return the samples and was happy to find a woman who was knowledgeable, willing to bring me samples, and give her opinion on what might go with my cabinetry. Unfortunately, that was the only help I got. I took home 3 samples and tried to choose the best I could with a tiny cabinet door sample. I was out of time and had to leave town without ever getting a call back from the guy at Builders Interiors who was in charge of my contract. I chose the wrong flooring, which was my fault, but I also feel that if I had gotten more help, if they had been AT ALL responsive, then I may have chosen a floor that I wasn't disappointed with. I try to have positive thoughts every day as I look at the flooring. I often get a displeased feeling and then think of Builders Interiors. I am a single person who works full time and didn't have a lot of people to bounce opinions off. UPSHOT IS- If you are not a giant company, or have a lot of time and flooring knowledge, then go elsewhere for your flooring needs. read more

We did a full home update with Builders Interiors: carpet, hardwood, backsplash, counters. I can't express enough how impressed I am with their excellent work, value, and timeliness. Andy was fantastic to work with and scheduled everything perfectly and answered my many questions. They also have designers who will help you choose your materials so everything flows well together. The installers were all experts in their fields and are amazing at what they do. Everyone was so detail-oriented and did their work with excellence, precision, and quickly! I've never heard of a project that went so smoothly - on time, on budget, and perfectly executed! A great quality about Builders Interiors is that they don't just have one guy do all the work. They have different teams that are experts in each field (flooring, tiling, counters, etc), so whoever is installing your material is specialized in that field and you know they're going to do an amazing job. It was cool to see each person take pride in their work. They were also all very professional and kind. My upstairs flooring began in January. Most of the flooring was done in a few days and only then was I informed that the stairs were on back order (had I known this ahead I would have delayed install start dates.) I was told I would be contacted in 2 weeks. I called in 2 weeks and floors weren't in, I called again in 4 weeks and floors weren't in. No one called me at all, I had to be the one to call. Fast forward and now we're into March. Covid hits and now floors aren't in and won't be in due to border control. Finally in April (3.5 months living with half floors done and stairs completely bare and dangerous) I was told the stairs were in. Once stairs were installed I noticed holes in my wall, I was told by the company it's my responsibility to repair. The baseboards were thrown on completely unaligned and also have left holes in the wall. Mind you, this is after paying nearly $7000 for just the upstairs. I asked for a discount for the holes and the 3.5 month delay and got a measly $150 taken off my bill. I got a quote today to have my holes and baseboards fixed and $150 barely touches what I will be paying to fix all of this. I am not naive and know baseboards may need some caulking or paint after, but this is beyond that. My neighbors have all recently had floors installed that look beautiful and the companies included baseboard caulking and they paid almost $2000 less than me. Beware when using this company that they aren't good about keeping you informed, updated and do not care about quality of work. read more

Andy and Builders Interiors were amazing to work with for our primary bathroom remodel. Andy was great at communicating, and everything was finished on time and as originally quoted. Our installer was fantastic. Tudor paid such attention to detail, was on time and kept the job site (our bathroom) very clean. Andy also recommended a great quartz installer, as well as sheetrock, plumbing and electrical (we didn't end up using a general contractor) and we were so happy with the finished product. I shouldn't have used Builders Interiors after I got stood up on my initial appointment but they had been recommended so went ahead. It has been a horrible experience. The 1st day of the install they were 2 hours late. When they finally did finish the stairs were a mess and the installer didn't seem to care. I'm still waiting for them to come fix them. They are full of excuses telling me I should call the supplier, I should call the stair manufacturer, there's a pandemic.....on and on. The customer service is awful. We had given them more than 50%downpayment with the good faith that they will give us a schedule once they ordered the materials. After more than a month of us giving them a downpayment, the schedule was bit guven to us and now had been holding up the installation of the kutchen equipment. At first they said that the material gad bot arrived because of covid, the. It finally dawned on us that what they actually font have is the installer, not the material because their installer is on vacation. 1: price went up three times since original quote 2: installers threw out integral parts of disposal I had to purchase and replace 3: purchased a new sink through them and sink grate which the ball was dropped on. They couldn't send it directly to my house so I would have to drive 45 minutes to pick it up. Took 5 weeks to get. Was told at one point it would be 1-2 days, then no one called or answered my calls and emails. I called three times in one particular day with no one returning my calls. Finally cody(?) was able to verify the sink grate was at the front desk. 4: went to do my grout work and realized I was sent incorrect grout. Have to be issued a refund and go purchase grout elsewhere Gave the company the benefit of the doubt since it was a referral from a friend but will not be referring them to anyone I know read more

Stay away even if it was the last option that you have. The first job(prefinished hardwood flooring) with them was simple straightforward and good. I went back to them for my new remodeling; I got two apart estimates(over $2000) from them, I was stood up on installation date that delayed my entire project, and when they were done I have 82sq ft ( 5 boxes) of extra materials. I had to hire an outside installer to fixed the bad work they did on my floors, and when I reached out to the owners I was referred back down the line to the employees. Sad story for a husband and wife owned business. I truly want to give the locals my business, but not me again and hope not you either. read more

I had a fabulous experience working with Andy and Builders interiors. They worked with me during this crazy Covid time and did the installation in two phases at my request. I chose Evoke Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring and I couldn't be more pleased. The quality of the product and the workmanship of the install was impeccable. I also had carpet installed in my office and it feels so much more warm and cozy than it ever did, and they also installed rock around my wood burning stove, a great improvement from the concrete board that had surrounded it. I am hoping to get new kitchen countertops installed within the next year and I will not hesitate to call Andy again for an estimate. To sum it up: Even Comcast has more regard for a customer's time. If you want to have to chase them around every step in the process, and then deal with their apathy, get your schedule jacked around constantly without even the most minute apology, have it take 4x longer than they promised to do very basic work, deal with mistakes that end up feeling like your fault somehow, and maybe have them scoot out of town for a week in the middle of your project without telling you - then yeah, you can get some tile or carpet from these folks. I would not recommend using this company. Our experience was frustrating and painful. They are unreliable, disorganized, make mistakes at every turn, have poor time management, and have poor ability to communicate with customers. Highlights: -In March, we worked with them to pick out some carpet and some tile. They said that they could get the job done within a month. Shortly after inking the deal, they left town. We were unable to get in touch with them for over a week. When they finally returned, we got a paltry: "Oh, sorry. We never get to go on vacation." As if that is the point. We are not vacation scrooges, we just don't want to be up a creek with no paddle. I assumed someone must have died or something for them to so suddenly skip out on our project mid-stream with no phone call or email. The response was, "Well, if you want to go ahead and hire then other company, then fine." If they had just been truthful about their plans to be unavailable, we would have felt very differently. We were left completely in the dark and then had to deal with an attitude about how it affected us. -It still took three days to get them to get organized and provide an official estimate on the next piece of the project. My wife had to call them 4 times in one day because they kept having other priorities (read: disorganized). Each call she was told that she would receive the estimate in email within the hour, and this lasted all day. This was simultaneously going on, while the wife-owner was pressuring us to hurry and make a decision because they were going to raise their prices the next day. In short, you have to chase them around and it is absolutely frustrating that they can't even get organized enough to deliver on the most basic of promises. -They were never on time for a single appointment. Their tile installers and their carpet installer was able to be on time, but getting measurements, estimates, old carpet removal, etc. is handled by the owner, and he is disorganized and late. And he doesn't call. If you seem bothered that he has no regard for your time, then he basically shrugs his shoulders and demonstrates a "deal with it" attitude. Extremely apathetic to how the work affects his customers. No regard or respect for time. And he left jagged metal staples sticking out of every one of our stairs for almost 2 weeks. Just getting our toddler up and down the stairs was a hazard. But again, no one's going to care about that because they only people who matter in this project are the owners of Builders Interiors. -They still miscalculated a cut and flubbed an entire piece of carpet. We were supposed to get an area rug from the extra piece, but the mistake ruined the rest of the carpet. And of course, when we tried to talk to the owner about the mis-cut (absolutely his mistake), he had his usual "deal with it" attitude and was very difficult to talk to because of his poor communication skills and apathy for customer service. They had already spent an entire week binding a piece of carpet that was cut 5 inches too short. How does this even happen? It's not like it's complex math. Measure...double check...cut. Bind. He even had the old runner laying on top of the new carpet as a template. How does one cut this incorrectly? The worst part is the affect on our schedule and the fact that they absolutely DID NOT CARE that they had messed it up. We got a robotic, "Sorry for the inconvenience." -For three days, we got the run-around on the landing. Meanwhile, we are dealing with sharp, exposed metal staples on the stairs. We burned three days waiting for them to remedy the problem. Two different times, we set up appointments and made ourselves available for the install, only to get a voicemail in the last 15 minutes before arrival time rescheduling. When we voiced our concern about how this was affecting our schedule, we got no response. I'd say that the final result is acceptable - I mean, yeah, we have carpet on the stairs now and tile in the bathroom, but the frustration we felt over the lack of concern, disorganization, unreliability made the experience 100% painful. And perhaps the most disappointing is how their MO is to just shurg their shoulders and not acknowledge anything that went wrong. And of course, there's no discount for the fact that they ruined the area rug piece or jacked us around so much. We got the full bill without an apology. read more

I had the master bathroom and two kitchen backsplashes done at the lowest price with the best quality materials and workmanship. I went to two other companies but they were way over price, it was almost more than double than what builders interiors estimated. Ty said that it would take two weeks to complete the project but everything was completed perfectly three days early. Jim is the best installer I can ever ask for.. everything was perfect! Builders Interiors was an outstanding company to work with, for what turned into a whole house remodel. Andy was our contact there, and he helped us every step of the way. We started out just wanting to do hardwood floors, which grew into also completely redoing the kitchen, bathroom, woodwork and doors, basically new surfaces throughout. Since the scope of the work grew and we unintentionally became our own general contractor, we needed help with scheduling and making it all work. Andy's communication was thorough, immediate, he always answered every question we had, and he came back out to the house after the initial estimate to help us figure out odd details because we have an old quirky house that had a lot of unforeseen issues. All of the installers Andy sent were excellent as well - for hardwoods, countertops, kitchen and fireplace backsplash, woodwork and trim, plumbing, tile work, shower doors, all the many elements of the project. I want to update my review from 6/22/2015 on Ty Mortenson. He called me after the first of the year, said he read my review and honestly reported that he didn't realize the job was incomplete and didn't have a firm understanding on what had happened. Didn't make excuses, he just wanted to make it right and asked to come back and take care of everything. That speaks volumes to me. He came back, reviewed the problems and took care of it. A lot of people would have wrote this off and I'll definitely work with him again. I think we've all been at a place where we were over committed, so next time I'll have more knowledge on how to manage this from a customer standpoint as well. The contractor I was working with for my kitchen backsplash recommended Builders Interiors. They have a great selection and showroom. When I wasn't able to find the right shade of gray for a tile, they recommended one that worked perfectly, however, it was a "special order," which would take extra time. I had some difficulty confirming when it would arrive, and my info was passed between several employees over the course of a month and a half until I was finally able to get confirmation that the tile was ordered and would arrive. My advice is to document each interaction and ask for a confirmation via email to ensure you are being heard and your requests are being followed up on. read more

My friend recommend me to this place. I had all the floors in my house  done they gave me a hard number on the bid and the exact time frame when it will be done. I thought that it would cost way more to do the whole house flooring. I don't know why they only have 4 stars on here but they deserve 5. The customer's service was amazing and everyone was friendly. We had hard wood floors put in and the whole experience was stress-free.  Reeves took care of us on the front end making all the arrangements and helping in the show room. Ty (the owner) provided excellent advice and the installers were fast and thorough. No suprises financially or otherwise. They finished early and the floors and stairs look stunning.
