Yesterday I went into pizza 101 with my husband and my in-laws. And I must say we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. They go beyond your regular pepperoni cheese meat lovers and Hawaiian pizza you see at little caesars or Pizza Hut. They have 48 specialty pizzas! Different kinds of garlic bread or other breads. They also have pasta , salad , and wings. The wings were good too. We got lemon pepper wings . I docked them one star because I had asked for boneless but they gave me traditional. Pizzas we got : Chicken Western and Meat lovers. I think I loved the chicken western the most. Instead of tomato sauce for the base. They used bbq sauce. So delicious. Definitely will be coming back for more. We also went during a rainy day. And I feel most people want to stay at home and won't go out driving on a rainy day. While I was there they kept getting phone orders and people showing up to pick up their orders. I liked that. This is a nice little pizza place. Just as cheap but better than Little Caesar's. They don't have it hot and ready but, if you call it in pick up is just about 10 min. Pizza have good crust on them and they have a good selection to chose. They only draw back I have is when they first open if you collected 10 prof of purchase from the pizza box you can get one free, now you have to get 15 and sometimes they don't honor any advertise item on Yelp. Several months ago, my son & daughter in law brought over some pizza. After having a few slices, I asked them where they got it. They gave me a flyer and I put it away in a drawer. When the COVID shut down occurred, we wanted to support our local Fontana businesses as best as possible and we gave this place a try. I have made a few orders over the past few months and they have never disappointed us. Their prices are reasonable (way better than Domino's & Pizza Hut). Honestly, I would give the food 5 stars because I order pizza here all the time; However, I've taken 2 stars away because the child delivery boy driving his mommy's white POS 3-Series almost hit me on his way back to the store. He's speeding down the aisles of the parking lot and taking turns like he's an extra from the Fast & Furious movies. I know you need to get your deliveries out in time so you make good tips to gas up your mother's vehicle, but your tips won't save my 4-month-old baby you almost hit. I've ordered here a few times and to be honest if I was just rating the food, I would probably give them 4 stars. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I placed an online order yesterday at 2 pm for a 6:15 pickup. I do realize it was Halloween and it was extremely busy. I get there at 6:15 and the line is literally almost to dollar store next door. I finally get to the counter and the lady gives me a receipt for my purchase (I paid online) receipt was stamped at 6:32. The lady said she wasn't sure when my pizza would be ready, they were running behind. After a couple of other customers complained loudly, a lady who called in her order for a 6:15 pickup got her pizza at 7 pm. I showed the gentleman my receipt he went to check on my pizza and said they running about an hour behind and wrote 7:05 on my receipt and said it would be about 15 minutes. A customer walks in and said he order was placed at 6:07, walks out with his pizzas. It's about 7:25 and I ask the gentleman to check on my pizza, and he precedes to tell me, "it's on the screen". You mean to tell me, it's not even in the oven? So as I cringed when earlier a customer walked in and they told him it would be 20 more minutes for his order then when he walked in 20 minutes later, they told him 30 more minutes he started calling them "liars". Pizza 101's hand-tossed pizzas are generally too doughy for my tastes, so I usually go with their thin crust. They offer 48 specialty pizzas with all sorts of combinations and ingredients, including the increasingly-difficult-to-locate anchovies. Their much-hyped pastrami pizza is good, covered with slices of pastrami and pickles and they managed to include the mustard, too. However, what bumps up Pizza 101 from "A-OK" to "Yay! I'm a fan" is their Times Square pizza. It doesn't receive the same attention as their other specialty pizzas, which is a shame, because for my money it's the best pie they serve. This is a surprisingly delicious take on New York-style pizza, with a "New York style thin crust, tasty New York style sauce, large pepperoni slices, with two cheese blend." I'm a big Vito's (L.A.) fan and while this isn't in the same class as that masterpiece of a pizza, it's a terrific alternative to driving all the way from the I.E. to L.A. for a tasty slice. read more

I have been ordering from them since they opened and I've never had a bad pizza or bad service. I''m glad I decided to give this place a second try because the second time around my taste buds were very content. My only regret was that I didn't order 2 large pizzas. My family, after having their first bite of the pastrami pizza, attack the single large pizza without remorse. Before I knew it only 2 slices remained, and I quickly snatched the last remaining pizza and cheese bread before it was too late. Honestly though, the pastrami pizza was delicious, and you could definitely taste the quality of their product. I hope this place continues to satisfy my taste buds. Also, the people who run this place are very nice, and they've changed my opinion on their establishment. I'll be back for more! _________________________________ If it wasn't for the scrumptious cheese bread this place would have only ranked 2 stars in my book. I got the blue cheese lovers pizza pan style, and I believe that was the down fall. The pan style bread just wasn't for me, and in my opinion didn't have the right consistency. I'd had this place bookmarked for a little while, but whenever the guilty craving for pizza came around, I habitually went for Pizza Hut. So glad I remembered this place this past saturday when the craving struck. They have a few interesting pizzas, in particular the pastrami one, but I couldn't talk the wife into it on a first try out of the place. Instead we got their carbonara pizza with chicken, bacon and mushroom with the garlic butter a nice background flavor. Good amount of cheese too and the pan crust has a nice soft doughy, chew and a nice crisp bottom. Basically, the kind of crust that you actually want to eat. Only complaint I could have is that the toppings weren't really uniformly distributed, which left some slices with much on them, but as good as the crust and cheese is, I wasn't left sadly eating the more barren slices. All the ingredients are seemingly fresh and good quality. Despite some of the seemingly crazy amount of toppings on some of their pizzas, based on the quality of their crust, I could see them standing up to the weight. This place is definitely going to be by new habit. So long Pizza Hut! read more
