Everything was def a 5, just wish didn't take 10 minutes before I was seated! But if there is one thing that makes up for the wait is the delicious Nabor pizza. Just Wow! New favorite for me. I have herd so many good things about the restaurant and family run. So I was so excited to give them a try. When you walk in it's clean nice with modern decore. Pizza is good, had the Da Vinci and the Greek. Both were good, but Da Vinci was better. A little balsamic glaze drizzled on the Greek would be a game changer. Visited Pizza Amanti again and every time it is better than the last. The Staff doesn't miss, has a talent and passion for making great food in a place with a warm welcome, just like your family. On this visit I had a Raphael (the Donatello pizza with ricotta cheese added). The simple blend of the pepperoni, mozzarella, ricotta and sauce on Ricos dough recipe makes it hard to stop eating. I also had the bruschetta, and it too is great. The toasted bread is light and spongy, great for sopping up the olive oil. Topped with grape tomatoes and mozzarella pearls it is sweet and salty, yummy. Don't miss out on great pizza, I highly recommend Pizza Amanti as one of my favorite spots. The new menu is interesting and I'm sure it's going to be a huge success. We tried the di Vinci Pizza for $24 and it was amazing! It consists of Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Italian Sausage, Salami, Cup and Char Pepperoni, Bacon and Smoked Ham. The crust was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle and it was a wonderful platform for this fantastic pizza! We are already planning our next visit. I've been wanting to check this place out out ever since I saw their article in the newspaper. It really caught my attention because the owner has Filipino roots. Also, because I love pizza! They were pretty busy and it looked like they only had 1 server. It's okay because we were catching up and we needed time to look over the menu. I ordered the La Pera salad. This was delicious! It had arugula, walnuts, pear, shaved parm, and an apple vinegar dressing. We both ordered the Nabor pizza and it was wonderful. What a GREAT place. Went here with my buddy that had a tangential tie to the owner. We heard about it from his friend and figured we'd give it a try with our monthly rotation. I could stop with YOU MUST GO HERE if you're a pizza fan... but I'll elaborate. The menu is very authentic and simple. But that's the best way to go. You pick something you know you can absolutely knock out of the park... and then you do it. Unfortunately, we didn't get the appetizer we originally wanted but I'm going to assume that's because it's just that darn good. Moving on we had two pizzas - The Nabor and the Da Vinci.... ummm... seriously.. this is by FAR and above the best pizza I've ever had in the 757. We were able to stop in during Pizza Amanti's soft opening! The new owners of the pizzeria were very warm and welcoming. They had several pizza options available to try. We opted for the da Vinci - sort of an elevated meat lover's - and the Mona Lisa - on the opposite of the pizza spectrum: meatless ricotta, mozzarella, garlic, basil. Both had a crisp crust from the wood-fired oven. The red sauce on the da Vinci was just right to us, not too tart and not too sweet. The owners are very friendly and open to feedback. Why have you not tried this place yet? Seriously, go right now. It's fairly new to the area, but it's the wood fired pizza you've been wanting. I had the la bandiera which is a nod to the Italian flag. The pesto was super tasty, and the sauce you could tell was fresh made. The cheese is even higher quality than you find most places. My husband had the Giuseppina angry style which means it had the spicy arriabiata sauce. It's not overwhelming with spice but the flavor profile is perfectly "angry". This is a true family run restaurant. Everyone you see is family. They treat YOU like family. Welcoming, friendly. The menu is small right now focused on pizza. There are several different kinds of sauces to choose from as well. The pizzas come out super fast and are very large dinner plate size, 4 large slices for each pie. There are plans to add other family recipes that include pasta. The chef/owner is outgoing and checks to make sure you are enjoying what you ordered. He will share their restaurant story--ask him. We came across this restaurant as my husband saw the sign for pizza and wood chopped out front, wood fired pizza! We went in on a Saturday night and we were seated right away. They haven't been opened very long so there was plenty of seating. We were greeted promptly by one of the owners. We were told a little bit about their recipes and decided to try their bruschetta, for our appetizer. The marinade and the bread were spot on, so good! Love the crunch on the bread, so fresh! We chose the Donatello pizza which was a red sauce with pepperoni. The server asks your preference on the cook and we like ours more on the cooked side. The wood fired oven cooks at 650 so the pizza comes out quickly. When the pizza arrived it looks like a work of art, absolutely amazing! The first bite had that "crunch", that's all it took for me, love! The ingredients are all made in house and the recipes are authentic. The dough is more of a thicker consistency and worked so well with the toppings. We knew we were going to try their cannoli and the tiramisu for dessert but was told the cannoli was sold out! The desserts are made in house and apparently the cannoli is a huge hit! The tiramisu came out and we were blown away, the serving was plenty for the both of us. It was probably the best I've ever had, full of flavor and reminded me of my mom, her favorite dessert, she would have loved this. Imagine our surprise when the owner surprised us with a cannoli! I love cannolis but most are on the sweet side, this one was not overly sweet and melted in your mouth, lots of chocolate chips! We took half of the pizza home and husband has already ate another slice! I'm hoping for leftovers for lunch, we shall see if it makes it that far. When husband woke up this morning he said we are never ordering pizza anywhere else, this literally was the first words out of his mouth! Let's blow this place up! Light and refreshing enough to devour on a hot day. The prosciutto was perfect. Cannolis! These are Italian made cannolis which mean they are made with mascarpone. Most places use ricotta. PA replaced our favorite pizza parlor in the world, so they have a steep hill to climb. I truly hope they can. I tried their da Vinci pizza. It lacked flavor compared to PBV. I understand they are trying to go 'local' but be true to their Italian roots. I don't think that is possible. The crust is bland without imported flour. It was me and my husbands 2nd anniversary, we just got home from a trip yesterday and have a baby girl at home (grandma watched), Decided we should keep it casual this year and just grab something Togo. I told my husband I wanted 'fancy' pizza and we both found this place at the same time. I decided to call and place the order since I had saw a pear prosciutto speciality pizza on Facebook but was not on the website to ordered.. assuming since it was limited time thing. The woman who answered the phone was kind and took our order and gave us an estimate of when it would be done. Once we arrived we told the hostess/ server we were there for pickup and she was so pleasant and let us know they were in the oven now, no worries we knew we were early! She told us we could sit and wait if we liked so we did. Another server asked if we were getting the pear pizza and that it was so good we would love it. The pizza was out in no time the person who greeted us brought the pizza and told us there was a complimentary cannoli on top (so sweet) we were walking out and one of the men making pizzas was super nice and told us to take care and thanked us for our business. The place had a couple tables of people eating but truthfully it should have been full of people! We got to the car and immediately ate the cannoli it was very good and tasted fresh!
