Hello we had arrived late into town and wanted to get a pizza delivered so we tried Pizza Amigos and was very impressed! The pizza arrived very fast and was still so hot you couldn't just bite it. The box was well constructed as to not leak just incase you were thinking of picking one up. The pizza was not over cooked and had a whole lot of toppings. The server was very friendly. January 5, 2019 Sometimes the first impression is just a disguise. It kinda sucks when you think you're a good judge of character and then you are the true colors shine through. It's a bummer when it comes to food, something we all need in our life and we all have favorites. "Pizza" surprisingly isn't a favorite food of mine, but I have my moments (usually drunk) when I have to have it. "Pizza Amigos" this day didn't leave a very good impression like they did the first time around, and it's kinda a shame. Allow me to tell you why it's a shame and why they still have 3 stars.... Pizza Amigos: Located inside the "Somersville Town Center" (Antioch Mall), this establishment takes over the space that once housed the popular chain "Sbarros" serving up "NY Style" pizza and other dishes. The have combo specials and offer take out if you want to order a whole pizza. If you plan to dine in of course they have a nice amount of seating so you can sit and enjoy your slices or whatever it is that you want to eat. As I previously mentioned, the first visit had me wanting more. The second visit didn't produce the same results. I was a bit put off when the staff lied about making some fresh slices, especially seeing that like about a couple minuets after I got my slices, I saw them putting out fresh pizza. But I ordered my pizza anyway and here is what I got.. 2 Slices & Soda Combo $7.99 - I wanted 2 slices of either Cheese or Sausage and Pepperoni. They had niter and I wasn't going to eat pizza with pineapple on it (yuck), so my next best option was the Combination. I don't really like pizza with veggies on it, but I did my best to pick most of the unwanted stuff off. This pizza was burnt and you could tell been sitting under the heat lamp for too long as it was dry as well. Compared to the first time I visited, this was a huge let down. I even went to them when the fresher stuff came out to try and change my pizza only to be told "No" I didn't even finish the slices as I felt they weren't up to par. But the saving grace is that the slices are a nice size, and this combo I feel is at a great value (about $3.00 a slice and $2.00 for the soda). But make sure your pizza is "Fresh" or else you will be pretty disappointed. Overall: I had a not so great experience this particular time around. But I know what they're capable of and that is the experience I hope to have if I decide to visit again. Being that their isn't too many options for food in this mall (No food court) "Pizza Amigos" is pretty much a standout in this "3" food option mall (pretty sad, I know), but I will give them the benefit of a doubt this time around. Maybe they were having an off day, I just hope if you decide to order takeout, or if you happen to just stumble in this mall. If you visit that you take my review to mind. "Pizza Amigos" is a "Hit or Miss" in my opinion. read more

Amaze balls! Fresh ingredients and it isn't made until you order it. I went with a personal combo and a small order of wings. Both the pizza and wings were not greasy one bit. I don't mind some on a pizza, but on wings I just don't relate the same way. Wings were crispy and not burnt and perfectly seasoned. Now the pizza was cooked to perfection. Had occasion to be in Antioch last weekend and needed to feed four hungry women, so after a bit we agreed on Amigos and boy did we choose right. The owner clearly is dedicated to the craft of making pizza and it really showed through when picking it up as he was incredibly happy to be providing us our many pies. We got three big ones and each was just wonderful. The vegetarian pizzas were especially tasty and the owner accommodated a half & half pie easily. Same with the vegan pizza we requested without cheese. Very nice and unique flavors and very good sizes, plus a big bonus at being NY style thin slices. Overall we couldn't have been happier and so next time we are all in Antioch we for sure will be getting some more of these yummy pies. Thanks a lot! read more

Placed an order on the slice app, free delivery was listed so we went with this establishment. Nearly one hour later our pizza was meant to arrive any minute, I get a call from Slice saying that Pizza Amigos JUST called them and said that we were outside the delivery window so they wanted to charge me $30 for delivery. So this means they hadn't even started making our pizzas?! I would have been fine if they had called right away to let me know but at that point I had five hangry kids waiting close to an hour for nothing. I was browsing EAT24 for food delivery on Labor Day and came across "Pizza Amigos" with a 5-star rating. I order pizza delivery from one of their competitors (Pizza Guys or sometimes Skipolini's in Antioch) frequently and wanted to try something different, so I thought I'd give Pizza Amigos a chance. Their menu had almost the same items as Pizza Guys, so I thought I'd just duplicate my regular order so I could do a fair comparison: X-Large thin pepperoni, cheese garlic bread, lemon-pepper chicken wings and jalapeno poppers. Usually, my family will polish off most of the order from Pizza Guys, with very few leftovers. This time, my son had a single slice and didn't want any more. I had to agree... the pizza was dry and "meh". My wife, who loves the lemon-pepper wings from Pizza Guys didn't like the Pizza Amigos version. The wings from Pizza Amigos wings were covered in big globs of the granulated lemon-pepper seasoning on the outside instead of having the seasoning baked into the chicken. Not good. The jalapeno poppers were the worst. They were the typical frozen poppers that lots of fast food restaurants serve, but they were only half-cooked and cold in the center. The cook should have noticed this easily, as the outside of the poppers was a pasty-white color instead of golden brown, making it obvious that they weren't fully cooked. The cheese garlic bread was probably the most edible thing delivered, but not nearly as cheesy or good as the Pizza Guys cheese garlic bread (or Jalapeno cheese bread) we normally order. In short, I didn't find a single item that would make me want to order from Pizza Amigos again... even with the Yelp 1/2-off coupon I'll stick with Pizza Guys or Skipolini's for now. I'm sorry Pizza Amigos. I really wanted to like you, but the food quality didn't come close to matching the rave reviews and has me wondering who those 5-star reviews are really from. read more

This is out favorite pizza joint in Antioch. The owner Ashu is awesome and takes pride in making his customers happy. I usually order chicken or veggie pizza from them and the best part is the customization. The pizzas look as well as taste good. My daughter and I were hungry after shopping. We walked up to look at the pizza options and saw old slices that appeared to have been under a heating lamp for awhile. As we were deciding whether to order and share a small pizza, the worker took a very large pizza out of the oven. I could immediately tell it was for the by-the-slice table because a quarter of it was pepperoni, half was cheese, the other quarter was combination. Great! Fresh pizza and we'll get a slice instead of a small. NOPE!! The worker placed the fresh pizza out of our line of sight behind the "Specials" sign. Then he stood there looking at us waiting for us to order. I could tell he was trying to hide the fresher pizza. Sure enough, three teenagers walk up and order slices. He takes the old pizza slices and puts them into the oven at the end of the conveyor belt where the fresh one just came out. He runs the old pizza at the end of the oven twice then sticks the slices on plates for the kids. Really? You cheap bastard. Stop serving old pizza. Needless to say, we left. We ate across the food court at Charley's. Too bad Pizza Amigos, because we order delivery pretty frequently from you, but never again. I'm spreading the word about you to everyone I know in Antioch and telling them to spread the word. You don't sell old food to cut corners or save money. I spent $80 on my order and there was nothing they could do?! I asked to speak to a manager but then the guy insisted there was nothing they could do & hung up on me.
