Love the pizza and the service here! Best Pizza and Brew in Vista is one of our favorite places to sit and order some slices and a salad, or for a whole pizza to-go. Their pizza is a bit more elevated than say, Grand Slam, another one of our favorite neighborhood spots, but it's also a bit more expensive. Their crust is on the thin side and they have tons of options, including pizza with hot honey. Mmmmmm. We also like the house salad with apples, cranberries, and blue cheese, and the vinaigrette dressing is tasty. (We usually add avocado.) Hint: for our family of three, the smaller size salad is quite enough. They have a great selection of beer (and hard kombucha!) on tap, and there is always a place to sit, even if the line is long and it looks daunting on a Friday night in the Village. We went in pretty late on a Saturday evening around 9 o'clock. They were only open for about another hour. A gentleman named Chris was at the front end was truly a refreshing guest experience. I met some friends for lunch and liked the ambiance and how open and airy this place was. First, you order at the counter. You can order by the slice and they have a variety of pizzas you can choose from (e.g. buffalo, beat white, the works, veggie, etc.). I like the fact you can try different styles of pizza and not just be limited to one kind in whole pie. They have Detroit style, gluten free, and their traditional thin crust. We had salad and two pizzas, The Works. This location has a huge bar and plenty of indoor seating. They have a great energy during sports games and plenty of tvs to watch. The service was quick and kind. I also appreciated how clean this location is given how busy it can get. This time we sat decided to do by the slice after ordering a couple and decided we wanted to sit and order also some drinks wings and a salad and make a full lunch/dinner date out of it. We used to love this place, but after we had bugs in our food... we decided to take a break. I did contact them about it. It's been MONTHS of back and forth and they still can't figure it out. Someone named Bella Reitze was helping me. She apologized on their behalf, said she was going to send me a gift card in the mail, asked for my address, and said she would issue a refund for that meal. Not one of those things happened. On a previous visit a couple of months ago, I requested medium and my burger was very well-done. It was still good, and I'm not a guy who sends his food back. I wish I didn't have to go back to the register to pick up salt packets but that's not a big deal really. I let the young lady at the register know that the burgers were well done, again. . . She apologized and I just told her that it was ok. I'm not making anyone cook me a new burger. Once again, still good. Just not what I asked for. I also ordered a beer and the person at the register gave me the number placard and told me that she would bring my beer out. After seeing it set at the bar where the drinks come out for a few minutes, I just went and picked it up. The young man who brought our food seemed more interested in talking to the female employees than checking on customers, but I was 20 years old once too. We did get there kind of late and left a little after closing time. Everyone was busy checking their phones. . . We'll be back. Pizza is always great.
