We've been here a few times now and really like the honey boo boo and decided to try a new pizza. We had the loverboy which seemed to have all the things we were looking for, fresh mozzarella, a meat component, ricotta, and caramelized onions. The pizza came straight outta the wood fired oven to our table. Very thin crust, with slight chew. We were a bit disappointed in the lack of flavor. We had a hard time pinpointing the issue, but we think the sliced meatballs were bland, and the pie needed more salt and maybe garlic? Back to the honey boo boo next time for sure. We stopped by for dinner and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table to open up inside. It's pretty small inside and so I can see it getting very busy if you were to dine in. The interior is pretty dark and moody which I personally really liked. Our server was fantastic throughout the night as well. The Meatballs were fantastic and a huge portion! I love how the tops are baked and have a nice crust which adds more texture. The Lover Boy and Malibu pizzas were amazing and I would happily order them again. The biggest highlight of the pizza, is the construction/bite itself. I think this might be my favorite 'bite' when it comes to ratio of toppings, bread, crisp. I think they nailed the balance perfectly. This is not the 'droopy' slice (which is still good) but rather a very structured slice where it holds itself well. I couldn't praise it anymore. 10/10 some of the best pizza I've ever had. Their oizza is cooked in a wood burning oven they made themselves. Crust was crisp, yet chewy and oh so good. Ten years later, Pizza Box is still our #1 pizza spot in St. Pete. We've tried and obsessed over many from the menu, but our current go-to is a simple half pepperoni, half mushroom because it's just so dang good. Our 4yo approves too. My friend Chris and I yesterday wanted to check it out. It was about a short walk from the Moxy resort that we were staying at. My friend Chris got a small personal pizza for $20. They offer wine, beer, and seasonal beers. I didn't get any food. Very small inside, very mom n pop ish. The men in the restaurant make pizza by hand; ie tossing it and hand pulling the dough. If this is your vibe it's a must do!! The gentleman telling us about the menu was nice and informative. He was the only one that helped us out. 10/10 Really good pizza!! read more

Ugh, possibly the best pizza I've had in St. Pete so far. Got the seasonal elote pizza over the summer and was thoroughly impressed. Sometimes with pizza I'm kind of a traditionalist and wouldn't usually go for a cultural fusion of flavors, although I always appreciate the creativity. And I always love the idea of rotating seasonal options so had to try it while it was on the menu. The pizza was exactly the way I like it, perfectly crispy where it needed to be and soft where it needed to be. My favorite style of crust. Flavors and toppings all felt so fresh and delicious. Pretty small inside with only a few tables but a cool tavern-y vibe, and outside there are several picnic tables. Parking is tough as it's just street parking on Central but worth spending several minutes circling for a spot if you can't walk or bike. We came on a Friday night and there's 2-hour street parking all around, which we got lucky and snagged a spot immediately. I'll be completely honest, I REALLY wanted to like this place based off all of the good reviews, but it just didn't do it for me. The pizzas didn't have much flavor surprisingly considering how many toppings there were. The pizzas are well-done, which might not be everyone's style. The griffy sticks didn't taste like garlic bread at all, it was thin with little dough, and the marinara was kind of sweet. We got griffy sticks, the lover boy, and half Malibu / half honey boo boo. I will say I LOVE how you can split whatever pizzas even if they were made with different bases. I've never been to a place that does that, so that's a BIG plus!! I recommend the lover boy of the 3 pizzas we tried. read more

Hidden Gem! From the outside it kind of looks like a chain place. I decided to give it a shot after someone recommended and I was not disappointed. My only complaint was they forgot to drizzle hot honey (came as a topping) on the pizza. We ordered to go and didn't realize until we were home. I will definitely be back to try it again! read more

It was ok. We live in South Tampa. Drove to expect the best pizza. They were friendly and nice. We had our dogs. So we ate outside. Service was ok. A bit long for service. The food was average. Nothing that would draw us back to make a special trip there. More for locals. read more

Classic and speciality pizzas are both great, dough is crispy but never dry and you can taste the quality ingredients. The large is good for 2-3 people. Favorite pizza spot in town. I get a weekly craving for the honey boo-boo pizza: bacon, chopped pepperoni, garlic, ricotta & hot honey drizzle. I always love that they have a rotating desert pizza. I've tried the guava cheese, baked cinnamon apple & mascarpone, as well as a peach cobbler style pizza. All amazing. Tiny spot with only about 5 tables. Nice &fast employees. One time they gave me the wrong pizza due to a similar name mix up, they ended up letting us keep the pizza, made us another, and gave us a certificate to use for another pizza in the future. Another 5 star visit for best in town thin crust pizza and salads dive. We find the plastic utensils and paper dishes part of the charm. It is amusing to find a table with chairs high enough so we don't feel like our chins are too close to the table! Service is always friendly, accommodating, and prompt. read more

At Pizza box, you meet pies at the creaux of artistry and authenticity. Every Pizzaiolo here has true passion for precision with every pie. Every single order that I pickup comes out as a literal work of art. Consistently. It's flat out fun to eat and watch them make it. I have been ordering pizza from this place, probably about the last two years. You can find them on Uber now for pick up or delivery which I think is amazing. Usually, I go for the cheese pizza at the 16 inch I believe and then I put the meatballs on it. the meatballs are mixed with brisket and steak. Runs about $16. My most recent visit, I ended up with the Lover Boy (MUAH )which is basically the same thing as the cheese and meatball I normally get, but with a little more flare, caramelized onions basil leaves brings it together in a way only an artist can do . They use a real old school, brick oven and everything that comes out of there as a work of art. The oven might as well be a brick easel. I have taken it to go, and sometimes we sit and eat there, and I noticed no difference in quality between the two styles of to go and eating in. Usually when you get takeout, you can expect the quality to drop down a couple of notches but not here. The space is intimate inside and very cute and they keep it simple outside with one or two picnic tables which makes for good people watching while you eat or wait . I highly recommend this place and it's part of my regular activities to be here when I want pizza. It's the best in the Burg if you asked me. read more

Pizza box is a family owned restaurant in the St. Pete area, they offer very unique toppings on their pizzas which at first seem questionable but when you give them a chance they are amazing. Not only do they offer uniques pizzas but they also have salads and dessert pizzas. We had a blackberry lemon dessert pizza that was so buttery and not too sweet! The pizzas come out quickly and fresh. We got 4 pizzas and split different slices amongst 8 people. Great mom and pop shop. Stopped here on a whim while on vacation and was pleasantly surprised by the small business feel. The staff were kind and attentive. The cooks were preparing the food before our eyes, and people were happily chowing down on pizzas. I was happy to see dairy free crust and dairy free cheese options. As Hispanic and Jewish patrons, the optics and handling of this situation felt blatantly discriminatory. This behavior is unacceptable. Do better. read more
