4/3/25 First visit I was solo as I'm traveling for work. Found the place from the I-81 interstate sign (it works!). Great vibes when you enter, just an awesome place. Got direction from the counter guy and elected to sit at the bar as I was hungry & thirsty. An amazing 96 beers on tap, unbelievable! I settle on my first being the Pizza Boy Biaty. Described as a white IPA, I was intrigued. It was fantastic, super clean and crisp not overpowering. I imagine it would be easy to drink a 6 pack on the river somewhere. For lunch I ordered 2 slices. Full disclosure I'm somewhat of a pizza snob as I owned and operated pizza joints for almost 20 years. Bacon and chicken slice & cheese slice. Both were great but the B&C slice was so good I wanted more! Bar service was top notch, his name tag read "Pizza Boy" and I think I heard someone call him John. Great conversation and really made the visit memorable. I was lucky enough to have a conversation with an owner/brewmaster, did not catch his name. Super guy and really enjoyed the conversation.... Ordered delivery. Timely, order was accurate. Sort of. Wife ordered a cold Italian sub. She said it was good. I ordered mozzarella sticks (good) and boneless chicken wings with bourbon sauce (so so. These were low quality chicken nuggets with sauce drizzled over them after being cooked. Not tossed in the sauce. Over half were barely coated as well because of how they drizzled it over them. We stopped in at Pizza Boy this past weekend. I ordered an apricot sour and it was tasty. My spouse ordered their peanut butter fluff beer, which was ok. We each ordered a slice of pizza - white and pesto Sicilian, which were both good. The white pizza was the best one we tasted! Libations with names like Sugar Shoggoth and Dream of Wheat kick off conversations full of laughter and history. The lunch specials are reliable and filling. Ever since the last YP closed in the area, this is my go-to for 'boli. But my companions always praise the French Bread Pizza. Come here for the guest drafts and stuffed pizza. I stopped by here to check out their famous beer wall and of course the pizza. It has a charm too it that's a few steps above a dive. A 100-beer wall, though I unfortunately think the beer they brew isn't as good as the guest drafts. I tried a few slices and thought the beer was good. Luckily it brought me back from the brink as did a few day old sub rolls (2 for $1!) afterwards. The tomato pie was as one would expect. I absolutely loved it! If i lived near this place i would be there all the time. What is not to like- they have both pizza and beer. I tried the Steak and Cheese Stuffed Pizza as was recommended to me by a friend and it was fantastic. All of the other "by the slice" pizzas looked good too. My wife got a sicialian white slice with broccoil and tomatoes on it (or something like that) and she really liked it too. With around 100 beers on tap there is something for everyone. As my wife went and found a table my father-in-law and I went and checked out the beer selection which was on a huge electronic board. There was all kinds of micro brews but I ordered the Mad elf beer which is my favorite around the holidays. So we sat down and waiting for our pizza. As soon as we sat down the pizza came. My eyes go really big when I saw the pizza. It was huge and when they say stuffed they say stuffed. I really liked how they stuck garlic bread on the top of it as the lattice work like you see on an apple pie. As I grabbed the stuffed cheese steak pizza I took a bite and it was very delectable. It had everything in it that you would get on a cheese steak. The garlic bread on the pizza made a very tasty and nice representation on the pizza. This pizza place /brewing company was very very good. The employees were very nice also. We would definitely comeback again even tho we live like an hour and 20 minutes away. Best beer offerings around! Plenty of seating indoor or outside, and the food hits the spot (try the Regular Wissler Stromboli!) Used to frequent Pizza Boy a bunch when I lived closer, but always excited to go back when I'm in the area. The canning line is located in the restaurant with plenty of plexiglass openings to see what's going on behind the scenes. They predominantly serve their own brews, but have a ton of other brewery taps available. read more

They have an online ordering platform that allows you to select a pickup time for you order. I was in a time crunch and ordered food when they opened at 10:30am for noon pickup. When I arrived at noon, I was told the online order was just now being printed and food was starting to be prepared. So beware that selecting a pickup time only means that is the time the food will be started, not the time is will be ready. Asked to speak to a manager who said there was nothing he could do about it...that's just the way the system works. No apology, no attempt to make it better or change it. When I was out to dinner in Philly one evening, the restaurant had a Pizza Boy sour on tap and I decided to give it a try. It was so delicious that I went back again to get that sour and yet I had never heard of this brewery. My cousin is a beer connoisseur and told us about the brewery. I've been wanting to go to the brewery and try that sour again but it's pretty far from my house. On our way back from a trip, we were passing by the Harrisburg area and and decided to see how far the brewery was off the turnpike. It was about an 18 minute drive so we decided to go check it out. Upon pulling up, I was so confused because it said we arrived but the building said "Al's of Hampden." I'm not sure if they changed their name or what the connection is with Al's and Pizza Boy. Anyways we walked inside and I was surprised to see how big the place is. I can imagine it gets really crowded though. As you guessed, you can order pizza here and it's pretty reasonable. However, it didn't really look that appetizing. I can't believe they even serve wine here! Now for the star of the show and that's the beer. I couldn't believe just how many beers they have on tap. Seriously they must have 70 beers and plenty of Pizza Boy beers. I was a bit bummed though that you can't sample any beers and you can't do a flight. This is really risky when ordering because you might not like the beer. I love flights and sampling at breweries. Anyways we ordered one of the Beloved sours that I had from long ago. It's called Ice Dreamz and was just as good as I remembered. I made sure to get a 6 pack before leaving. The bar tender recommended the other Pizza Boy sour (since the rest of the Pizza Boy spurs were only being sold in the larger quantity) which is called Afternoon Delight which is a dry hopped sour. It was so delicious. I just wish they gave you a bigger class. It came in a goblet and was way less beer for the price compared to the other sour. Overall, I love the beer and the bartender was great. I'd definitely come back here and only wish it were closer! Having lived in the land of breweries, aka Minneapolis, I've had plenty of sours. My friend and I have been drinking craft beer for years and like the whole spectrum of beer. From Pilsner, wheat, ipa's to sours. The pizza Boy beers that we tried were not good (6). We recommend having a beer that is not made by pizza boy. The Buffalo pizza was over cooked and bland. It was like the pizza was pre cooked and then reheated. Nice atmosphere. You order at the counter, pay and get a number. Then they bring you your food. Employees were nice and friendly. We will have to come back sometime and see if things improve. This is only a review of a single slice of pepperoni pizza i ordered as a takeout order, sort of. I stopped at Pizza Boy on my way to my hotel traveling from my home in NE Ohio. By the time I arrived I really needed to use the restroom. The men's restroom was very well lit and very clean. When I reached the register to order my pizza there were about 16 different slices to choose from. From Buffalo chicken, to Margarita, to plain cheese. I wish the pizza menu was like the drink menu because standing back in line I could not see what was available and had to wait until I got to the register to see my options. If it was busy, which it wasn't, but if it was, standing at the register trying to decide what I wanted I would have felt pressured to make a decision to keep the line going. They do offer ordering ahead but for folks like me that was not an option. I ordered a single slice of pepperoni pizza. I was very disappointed in the pizza. For one, it only had six slides of pepperoni on it. Seriously! I think they were social distancing. The BBQ or Buffalo pizza had much more ingredients on it! Why skimp out on the pepperoni! Seriously, I felt robbed. The pizza is New York style so the crust was thin and the slice was somewhat large. The cheese was as thick as the crust it sat upon. The crust on the edge had some basil or garlic buttery sauce on it--that was good. The cheese was okay. It's texture was stringy and somewhat firm. The cheese had some brown edging and tasted somewhat creamy. The pepperoni was thin slice and had a spicy flavor. The crust was pliable enough to fold but with an equal amount of cheese it was better to eat it without folding. The crust was also firm enough that I could easily lift the slice with one hand to eat it. The crust was somewhat sweet, evenly cooked, and somewhat bland. The tomato sauce was sweet and probably the best part. If you were desperate for a slice of pizza then this is a place to visit. If you like mediocre pizza that's prob better than the chain pizza places then this is your place. read more

If your able to hop off of the PA Turnpike and stop here for a breather do it! Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Warehouse style building with a ridiculous drink offering (usually hovers around 100 offerings between wine, local beers and Pizza Boy's own beers -- I counted around 30-32 of their own on tap) To have that many of your own brews on tap is quite a feat! Two different lines to order food and drinks with prompt service. They number each beer which makes it easier than fumbling through the long names of each beer and definitely speeds things up. They sell their own can and bottled brews to go in a decent sized area, so I've managed to snag some fresh rare goodies from here that you just can't get around the Philly area. Food wise the pizza is all I've ever had and it's off the hook. Thick, cheesy, out quickly but well made with quality ingredients. Took a group of friends here and not one complained about the pizza. Sauce, cheese ratio and the crust are all on point. Just sad its so far from home or I'd visit more often. Expand to Philly guys!! read more

I've not been a huge fan of PBBC in the past due to the whole beer pour format, but they really stepped up their game with the food and togo 4packs during the shutdown. We ordered several times and each time everything was fresh, hot, and cooked perfect. We also decided to have a make your own pizza at home one night and was able to conveniently order everything from dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings online and packed for pick-up. Prices were very reasonable and cooked up to tasty pies! Check out service was prompt and friendly! PBBC is a great option for take out and grab & go brews! read more

We were in the area for the weekend and have been dying to try this place, so we planned a trip to stop here and grab some pizza and beer. The place is one pretty big room, with a shop (with glasses, beer, wine, clothes) in one corner, and an arcade in another of the corners. There's bar seating, table seating, and in the back there's long benches and tables for larger parties. However, all food orders must be placed at the front counter of the food area, and all drink orders must be placed at the corner of the bar- as in, there's no actual table or bar service. Despite that, and despite how crowded they were on this Saturday afternoon, there's almost no line and people get served pretty quickly. Because people get served quickly, filled tables quickly become available, and it's not too hard to find a seat. I was disappointed to find that they don't do flights here, because I wanted to try as many of their beers as I could while I was visiting. They brew A LOT of beer, and they also feature plenty of beers from other breweries as well. Beers are usually available as 5oz, 8oz, draft, 32oz, and 64oz, but some are only available in bottles. If I went again, I'd make my own "flight" of 5oz beers, but I didn't think of that soon enough and I'd been too full from drafts to try as many beers as I'd like. We had to try the pizza too while we were here! Huge food menu, by the way. The pizza was thin, with a good amount of sauce and cheese. It was nothing gourmet, but it feeds the craving. You'll need quarters if you want to get one of the Pizza Boy stickers, and you can ONLY TIP IN CASH. We'd return here again while in the area to try a few more brews. read more

Despite my significant inconvenience, I received no apology. Instead "Matt" informed me that it was MY mistake for not calling ahead to see if they were open.
