    Sicilian pesto pizza hot honey

The food was delicious! The cheesesteak pizza was the best I've ever had anywhere. While the set up is strange and there's different locations for utensils, boxes, ordering, etc., the service was great!

4/3/25 First visit I was solo as I'm traveling for work. Found the place from the I-81 interstate sign (it works!). Great vibes when you enter, just an awesome place. Got direction from the counter guy and elected to sit at the bar as I was hungry & thirsty. An amazing 96 beers on tap, unbelievable! I settle on my first being the Pizza Boy Biaty. Described as a white IPA, I was intrigued. It was fantastic, super clean and crisp not overpowering. I imagine it would be easy to drink a 6 pack on the river somewhere. For lunch I ordered 2 slices. Full disclosure I'm somewhat of a pizza snob as I owned and operated pizza joints for almost 20 years. Bacon and chicken slice & cheese slice. Both were great but the B&C slice was so good I wanted more! Bar service was top notch, his name tag read "Pizza Boy" and I think I heard someone call him John. Great conversation and really made the visit memorable. I was lucky enough to have a conversation with an owner/brewmaster, did not catch his name. Super guy and really enjoyed the conversation.... Scalable in NC? Over all 5 Product, staff and atmosphere are all great!

We stopped in at Pizza Boy this past weekend. I ordered an apricot sour and it was tasty. My spouse ordered their peanut butter fluff beer, which was ok. We each ordered a slice of pizza - white and pesto Sicilian, which were both good. The white pizza was the best one we tasted! The downside is you can't do a flight or taste the beer before committing to it. I'm too picky when it comes to beer, but luckily I enjoyed what I got on the first time! We'll be back sometime soon,

Pepperoni should be on top cheese not under! Sicilian had great flavor, smaller than expected for price but would definitely order again.

Come here for the guest drafts and stuffed pizza. I stopped by here to check out their famous beer wall and of course the pizza. It has a charm too it that's a few steps above a dive. A 100-beer wall, though I unfortunately think the beer they brew isn't as good as the guest drafts. I tried a few slices and thought the beer was good. Luckily it brought me back from the brink as did a few day old sub rolls (2 for $1!) afterwards. The tomato pie was as one would expect. The cheesesteak stuffed was pretty good, but I thought the Italian stuffed was the winner of three slices i tried.

I absolutely loved it! If i lived near this place i would be there all the time. What is not to like- they have both pizza and beer. I tried the Steak and Cheese Stuffed Pizza as was recommended to me by a friend and it was fantastic. All of the other "by the slice" pizzas looked good too. My wife got a sicialian white slice with broccoil and tomatoes on it (or something like that) and she really liked it too. With around 100 beers on tap there is something for everyone. We tried a Shamrock Shake Cream Ale and it was so yummy!

We visited the area several years ago and stopped in to eat/drink at Pizza Boy. The food and beer were fantastic. Almost 7 years later, we found ourselves traveling home from vacation and were going to be passing by Pizza Boy, so of course we had to stop. Pizza and beer were still just as good! Service was great. Atmosphere was laid back and just a good place to hang out. Highly recommend.

My wife and I ate here for the first time. We were with her stepfather who had already had eaten here before. I had no idea it was a brewing company either until my father-in-law said something to me which I was excited because I am a micro brew kind of person I like to try all different kinds of micro beer. When we walked in the place it was really hoping. We grabbed a menu and ordered right away. We ordered a cheese steak stuffed pizza. As my wife went and found a table my father-in-law and I went and checked out the beer selection which was on a huge electronic board. There was all kinds of micro brews but I ordered the Mad elf beer which is my favorite around the holidays. So we sat down and waiting for our pizza. As soon as we sat down the pizza came. My eyes go really big when I saw the pizza. It was huge and when they say stuffed they say stuffed. I really liked how they stuck garlic bread on the top of it as the lattice work like you see on an apple pie. As I grabbed the stuffed cheese steak pizza I took a bite and it was very delectable. It had everything in it that you would get on a cheese steak. The garlic bread on the pizza made a very tasty and nice representation on the pizza. This pizza place /brewing company was very very good. The employees were very nice also. We would definitely comeback again even tho we live like an hour and 20 minutes away. I would come here again definitely. Oh also picked up some of their own Strawberry Milkshake Beer. Can't wait to try it.

    Pizza. Beer. Happy.

Of those we tried, my favorites were actually the Pizza Boy beers; we even got a crowler to go of the Merren River.

Small brewery's are common in Appalachia. Some have even turned into larger operations, over the…read moreyears. Names like Appalachian Beer Company and Lancaster Brewery come to mind. These places some excellent beer. But they also are restaurants. So, maybe beer is a draw in or the food at times. So with that, Drunk Monkey is a pure brewery. They make, sell, distribute, and promote their own product. As far as promoting, I am not sure they need to do much work as the product has really gotten some attention at the street level. I have seen the main beer showing up at local restaurants the last year. There has also been solid word of mouth. Some of their beers are even winning awards. So it didn't take much convincing from a coworker to get me there before our Nittany Lions came on. The brewery, itself, is a tiny place tucked into an old industrial park that use to be home to one of the largest textile mills in the country. Long abandoned, different smaller businesses now call the park home. One of the more sustained businesses is Fisher's bee farm. That brings us to the brewery. The owner of the bee farm decided to start a brewery near his business. Once finding the brewery, you notice that it is a whole in the wall kinda place. But once entering, the place is organized, clean, and the folks are extremely warm and friendly. Everything is clearly marked. Beer prices are payed out in a sheet on the wall. There is a merchandise rack clearly marked. There are cases clearly marked for type. You can tell this is a place where the people love and care about their beer. The lady manning the shop was knowledgable and friendly. She gave us a preview of the beers and described each one as we taste tested the taps. She then offered us a tour of the small brewery which we jumped on. This definitely plussed the experience and ultimately earned that fifth star. We learned that this particular young lady also hand labels, preps, and fills the bottles. So she does more than just look pretty selling the beer. Now for the beer. I really can't remember all the particular names of the beer. But I had a few favorites. In particular, the German wheat beer was fantastic. That is what I got my growler filled with. Some of the other beers that tasted great, Kraken and one named Mistress or something to that effect. Fittingly, the mistress had a tap handle in the shape of a ship figure head. Speaking of which, all the beers have nautical names based on the folklore of Captain Jack which many local landmarks are named. I have nothing negative to say about Drunk Monkey. They are in an obscure location. The place is small and doesn't look like much from the outside. But like most really great businesses, it is about the knowledge of the people behind the business. Drunk Monkey has plenty of that! If you are in the area on a Wednesday or Saturday, stop in for a taste.

We used to take the kids here, there was something for everybody and a fun atmosphere. Fast forward a few years and this place has really gone downhill. Three staff was all very young and seemed to be in a rush. OK - we can deal with that, although it wasn't even as crowded as usual on a Sunday night. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (which was listed under handhelds), with the "chilli mango coleslaw" option. We also had a pork belly sandwich and smash burger for our toddler. We weren't given an option to get that medium and wete told "it just comes one way" "because it's smashed". Other restaurants always ask you how you want your burgers even if it's listed as a smash but ok - I can also live with this. The last thing we ordered we a Buffalo chicken wedge salad to share. It ended up being our undoing for the evening and the straw that broke the camels back. The "Nashville" chicken sandwich was a greasy, thin slice of completely unseasoned chicken. It wasn't spicy like it said, it was pretty soft and soggy instead of crunchy, and was totally unsalted. It was worse than when I was doing no salt from a high bp diet post partum. :( the bread fell apart and was sopping wet... I guess from some pickles and lettuce on the bottom of the sandwich? It was anything but handheld and so I ended up just scraping what chicken off I could and leaving the rest. My "chili mango" coleslaw had no mango, no spice, and was just regular plain, unsalted cole slaw. I recieved 2 teaspoons of this in a plastic cup on the side and regretted not ordering the fries instead, which looked to be a good portion size on my husbands entreé. My food order was terrible overall. 0/10 My husband said he liked his sandwich. The fries were a 6/10 because they were crunchy but they were cold. Our kids menu smash burger was all grease, and came well done. Our kid ate a few fries and they were less greasy. 3/10 The worst part of the meal was the salad... The Buffalo chicken was tasty, but the whole salad was onions and sopping in dressing. We then found a black molded rotten tomato and honestly we were sick to our stomachs after that. Like I was insisting the salad at that point and ended up finding that but what else did we already eat that was just totally rotten ?? 2/10 only for the chicken salvaging the flavor for this dish. When we told the waitress that this was distressing, like we came out to get our of the house with our baby and this was the meal (so disappointing) she did not automatically offer to take the rotten salad off the bill. We asked her to please remove it, and to her credit she did so after putting us in an awkward position to have to ask at all. We liked that this place supports local artists. For that, 2 stars For these reasons though above we will not be back here for dinner. Sorry Evergrain, we will miss you!
