Inside, it leans more bar than restaurant--and I mean that in the best way. Dim lighting, cozy vibes, and a laid-back atmosphere made it feel instantly comfortable. There's limited indoor seating--maybe around six tables and space for about 30 people total, plus bar seating--so I can see how it fills up fast. And honestly, this place is made for nice weather. The outdoor area along the creek looked beautiful, with tons of seating that I can already tell would be amazing on a warm day. Unfortunately, 49° and rain kept me inside this time, but I'll absolutely be back to experience the deck! Cold Springs Inn brews their own beer, with a solid lineup of house brews on tap, along with a pretty extensive food menu. I'm not much of a craft beer person, so I kept it simple--because I already knew exactly what I came for: The Big Papi. A grilled, foot-long all-beef hot dog topped with house chili, onions, and melted Cooper Sharp cheese on a toasted hoagie roll ($17), paired with a Diet Coke ($3)...balance. A short while later, my food arrived--on an actual baking sheet--and I knew immediately this was going to be something special. I've eaten a lot of chili dogs, and I have never seen one like this. It was a masterpiece: lightly toasted hoagie roll, a massive hot dog, an insane amount of flavorful chili, and perfectly melted Cooper Sharp cheese placed under the dog so it stayed in every bite. That detail alone? Genius. It was messy, over-the-top, and absolutely delicious--easily one of the best chili dogs I've ever had! I also stuck with the house-made chips, and I'm so glad I did. Thick-cut, super crispy, and heavily seasoned (which I love), they were some of the best chips I've had in a long time. I wanted to finish the whole meal, but I knew better--I cut the Big Papi in half before starting and ended up taking a solid portion home. The chips, however, didn't stand a chance. I love a no-rules date night! Service was great--friendly, attentive, and quick without hovering. By the time I was finishing up, the place had completely filled in, and there was even a group waiting at the door, which says a lot for such a small indoor space. One thing to note: while I was there, I saw on social media that they planned to close early due to the weather, so if you're heading there on a rainy or questionable day, it's probably smart to check ahead. Their burgers are tender, juicy, and a good flavor. - Menu. Decent and short. - Location. Fairly easy to find downtown and there are other businesses and restaurants close by. Street parking is available, which is metered during the weekdays. - Price. With the exception of the sides, which I explain below, it's fairly good value for money, given the quality and decent size portions. What's not - Quality. Their soft pretzel sticks were not as soft as I expected. They were actually harder than I hoped. - Dishes come with potato chips. Their sandwiches come with potato chips. Fries, coleslaw, or salad cost extra. My hummus pita wrap and my friend's fish sandwich automatically come with potato chips, so ordering the fries cost extra. Not cool. This is a matter of personal preference. This is a pub, not a deli, so potato chips should not be an automatic side. - Not many vegetarian or vegan options. There is hummus, a salad option, and a fish option. Very limited, which is a detractor. - Service. One of our family members ordered their burger with no pickles and no mustard, but the wait staff made an error when they entered our order. I understand mistakes happen, but simple things like this take additional time to fix. The wait staff had to put in the correct order and we had to wait longer. Additionally, we had difficulty flagging down staff when we needed things. Their staff are nice, but they don't appear well-staffed. It was not full the Sunday afternoon we were there, so I'm uncertain what a busy time actually looks like. - Layout. The old vault serves as their merchandise area and the safety deposit boxes in the vault are used for their membership items. Multiple taps are flowing on a regular basis and offer a nice variety from IPAs to Porters.   In addition to their craft beer, they serve Hidden Still spirits for cocktails.  The food coming out of the kitchen is delicious!  Items are common brew pub items with a tasty culinary spin on them. The buffalo tots are delicious and the Bulgogi cheesesteak hits the spot. The menu isn't large, but focuses on quality items.  Daily specials are offered also. Lindgren's offers $1 off pints on Thursdays for teachers and $1 off on Sunday for Military/Veterans. If you are looking for a great stop on the way between HBG and State College take a short detour to Duncannon for a relaxing stop at Lindgren's. You will not be disappointed.

As expected, there was fast and friendly service at the sizable bar. The location hasn't had too many renovations, but what they did make opened up the space a lot. The old kitchen wall was knocked down and all you see is clean stainless steel and a well organized kitchen (which is a welcome change since Hops and Barley). Since moving my buddy into town, we wanted to try out a bunch of different foods to get a feel for the new kitchen. We got the Carne Flatbread, Cajun Black and Blue burger, and the Pasta Alla Toscana. All of them were incredible. My favorite was the Black and Blue burger. Cooked perfectly, and plenty of flavor.
