It's about 15-20 minutes from my house. I showed up about 50 minutes after I ordered. The lot next to the business was pretty full but I found a spot. The lobby is very tiny, but there are a few chairs for people waiting. When I got there it was a line out the door but it moved very quickly. When I got my pizza I could tell that it was probably sitting for a bit because the bottom of the pizza was moist with condensation. By the time I got home the pizza was barely warm. Next time I will be there earlier to get the pie fresh out of the oven. Even though the pizza was definitely not hot it was pretty good. The crust was thicker than I expected. Everyone kept talking about the thin, cracker-like crust, but the crust was actually kind of thick. I appreciate that they have a non-pork meat option (beef). I wish they would offer turkey sausage. More people are giving up pork and it would definitely give them an edge. Anyway, was it the best pizza I've had in Notthwest Indiana/Southeast Chicago suburbs? Absolutely not, but it was solid. I got the bbq chicken pizza, Hubby got cheese pizza and we shared a Caesars salad. The portion size is awesome! Nice slice and the tomato sauce is so good! The Caesar salad was perfect for us to share. The croutons tasted homemade! So yummy! You can dine in or take it to go. We sat in and enjoyed the dining area. It's well kept and we enjoyed our meal. Seems to be a pretty good value even with the higher prices because you actually get quite a lot and the pizza is pretty good stuff. It's about $25 to get a medium, which seems like a lot. This also includes a liter of pop. For sure there's cheaper pizza, but this is much better. They're known for the massive Stadium Pizzas, big enough to feed a party. Has lots of flavors and toppings to choose from and they're open later than most places around here. It's located on Cicero Avenue with a hard to get into parking lot. There's more than just the pizzas, as they have a good choice of pastas, as well as frozen treats like yogurt.

I have eaten this pizza for a long time and I will tell you that the place has changed ownership many times but the taste is still the same today as in the past in 1975, I used to order the stuffed crust sausage and ground pepperoni back in 1977 and used to eat it on on the stairs of the old Morton High School building steps on marshall st. on a Friday night as i remember back in August cause it was 85 degrees at night, ill never forget my cat snowball came out to visit me at the Morton building stairs, we lived across the street and I shared my pizza with my cat snowball, we ate the delicious stuffed crust and both went home together and cut through the neighbors yard, a memory ill have forever, my cat also loved Key pizza, enough of the nostalgia, lets fast forward to 2025 and the pizza tastes the same, original recipes and ingredients, thanks for keeping this Hessville Icon alive.
