Pasta was burnt, lines needed to be cleaned, could taste it in the beer. Nice people seems like a good space tho.

Super fun place to eat. We always come here when passing from Colorado to Montana and back. The staff is friendly and the pizza and salads are amazing. We stayed in Gillette as our halfway point to our final destination and also on our way back home. Both times we stayed in town we came to this place to eat because the first time was not enough! The wood fire pizza is amazing and the serious great too. The first time we came we ate at the bar and I believe our waiters name was Dylan. You could tell he was a hard worker, he was always doing something and still made time to help us. The second time we came on our way back home we sat at a high top and had a waitress. I feel bad because I can't remember her name but she was very sweet and checked on our table multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. This place is great! read more

Sat at our table for 20 minutes and never could get anyone to come over and say hi or take a drink order. The place wasn't busy so I'm not sure what was going on. Finally we were so hungry we decided to just leave and go someplace else. Very disappointing because everyone I talked to about the place said it was great. I wanted this to be good. In town on business. Woodfired pizza has to be, right? Took a small one to go. Sausage and pepperoni. 5 minutes back to my hotel and it was already not hot. Crust had no crisp on it - could have been in the oven for another few minutes. And no flavor. Crust was bland and the toppings had very little seasoning. It was windy and raining hard so we decided to order for carry out and take back to our hotel. The atmosphere was nice and I would have liked to dine there. The pizza was great, the only complaint is that one of the 2 small pizzas we ordered was "extra small". I understand that the cost of everything is going up, but restaurants that resort to cutting costs by downsizing portions will loose me as a repeat customer. I would not call the menu prices on the low side to start with and am guessing they have gone up recently. I think it would have been better to raise them a little more and keep the pizzas a reasonable size. read more

The crust doesn't have much flavor. The toppings make the pizza. I had a harvest veggie with half a Vinnie salad. Salad had nice greens, salami, cheese, cucumber, onion, and I asked for no olives. The vinaigrette dressing had a good flavor. I liked my salad more than my pizza. Overall, this is a good restaurant with a great atmosphere. Service was good. I came here for a late lunch on a Thursday. The pizza crust could definitely use some changes to make a better tasting crust. California pizza kitchen pizza is a lot better! This is my go-to restaurant when I have family in town. We always get seated pretty fast (Fridays and Saturdays are usually a longer wait). The servers constantly check on you and make sure you have everything you need. I've never had a bad experience here. My husband loves the Firecracker pizza (? the one with jalapenos), my kiddo loves the Carnivore pizza, and I love the Pepperoni Pesto pizza. Don't forget dessert! As a frequent visitor to Gillette, this is the best spot in town for my money. My coworkers and I make it a point to stop in for dinner every time we're in the area. Workers here have always been friendly, and since COVID began this has stood out as one of the most well masked-up restaurants you'll find in Gillette. Servers are routinely some of the nicest you'll find anywhere and are always willing to give good recommendations. Great rotating beer menu with many local brews on tap. Lots of options for mixed drinks (some creative ones with house-made ingredients) too. Regarding the food, I have had nothing bad. Ever. I can vouch for the homemade pasta, bacon-wrapped jalapeños, wings (especially the dill pickle, if that's your thing), pita wraps (big spicy is to die for), crazy woman salad, creative pizzas, and delicious desserts. Pizza is really good, but there's so many other great things to choose from that I haven't tried any recently. I look forward to trying something new on the menu each time I visit and am always pleasantly surprised to find a new gem hidden on there. 5/5 on my out-of-town scale--next time I'm in town I'll go out of my way to eat here again. read more

As someone who spent the first 29yrs of their life living in NY, I have a fairly high bar for pizza. It's our thing and we are very proud of even a basic utility slice. Given that, I spent many miserable years pizza-less after moving to WY. Then in swoops Pizza Carrello. Now given, it's nothing like NY pizza because that's simply impossible; the water in NYC is what helps give it a distinct flavor and quality that really can't be replicated. It's the care and attention and love each pie at Pizza Carrello gets that makes it so damn good. Most certainly what would be considered a 'gourmet pizza' almost anywhere. Creative, and original toppings, very high quality ingredients, and as much made in-house as possible. Their wood fired oven gives each pie a nice little crunch to the crust, and their staff knows how to cook each one to perfection. It seems all their pasta is fresh made in-house, and they source local ingredients when possible. The pasta dishes are fun and light, like most true Italian pasta dishes (as opposed to Americanized versions heavy with a pound of cheese, etc). On a first-time visit to Gillette, this was a recommendation from a local customer. I get a hipster vibe for the restaurant, but see very few hipsters in here tonight. The wood fire oven is featured as you walk in, and it is quite a sight to behold. Of course I had to get a flight of 5 draft beers: 1. Harvest Saison 2. Status Wheat 3. Hot Streak IPA 4. 7 Bro's IPA 5. Big Lost Black ALT Bartender said #5 is a local brew from the downtown meadery. It was my favorite of the quintet, for sure! I ordered a Carrello Supreme personal pizza. Holy hell this is the best thing I've put in my mouth all week, perhaps more than a week. I'm in love with this pizza. The crust edges have a light yet lovely burn from the wood fire, adding a nice compliment its crispy texture. The toppings were just absolutely delicious. Five stars. read more

Gotta give this place 5 stars! Staff is friendly, it is a clean environment, pizza is off the chain!!! They have a lot of locally brewed beers which was fun to try. Jennifer was my waitress and she was very nice and attentive. My first experience eating in was great.
