We were seated at the bar and although the guy was nice, service was slow. Ratings said the pizza was good. So that's what we tried. We started with jalapeño poppers. They were ok. Just not what I'm used to. The vodka soda drink I had was weird. Only one vodka and it was odd. Vanilla flavor or something??? The pizza were ok. We had a pineapple can bacon. The bacon was huge! The pizzas saving grace. Obviously fresh. But the sauce was light and the dough was just alright. The other pizza was the carnivore. Again it's saving grace was the huge meat pieces. read more

Tried many, Fajita (Favorite so far) Vineyard and The Farm (Favorite for "different") strawberry and steak, Buffalo, Margherita, all very good. Crust is great, every bite has a a hint of each flavor and is very good. Tried the Pickle wings and they were very good, new favorite. Jake was a very good server at the Bar and knows what he is selling including the beers, the samples were a nice addition. Shai was helpful and knows her top 3, Good advice. BEST RESTAURANT IN GILLETTE!!!!! I travel for work and have been all over the country, this place hands down has the best pizza and pasta. The service was amazing, friendly staff. I eat alone, and the staff even chitchatted with me, made me feel very welcomed. I went late on Sunday, they had a great drink menu.I had one of the best wood fire pizzas of my life! We tried a few pizzas but our absolute favorite was the cream cheese and pesto pizza (so good we got one to go since we were only passing through the town). The crust is the best part and you can absolutely tell this was real wood fired pizza. We really liked the atmosphere as well, and the mamma Mia mule and the whiskey sour were delicious! Daytime management needs to figure out customer service. We stopped in for a quick lunch, and it wasn't busy. Instead they decided three tables would slam the kitchen too badly and created a wait time. They wouldn't even seat anyone for drinks. To make it even worse, while they were still refusing to seat anyone the woman who ran around frantically decided that there was far too much room for those of us waiting like cattle and that the empty tables needed more room to roam, so she came up right behind me and attempted to make a roundtop set for four fit within the confines of my backside. In her defense, she did yell "Excuse me!" After she tried to fit one of the chairs in there with it. I clearly owe her an apology for daring to wait where she put us. Maybe we'll go back and try to eat there sometime and I can apologize. It wasn't an option on this run, because we left after staring longinly at a full restaurant of empty tables for 40 minutes to give the kitchen time to handle the four people that did get sat in that time. read more

Caught in a snowstorm in Gillette on a Sunday evening, we decided to give this place a shot. The atmosphere is excellent, the service is very good, and we really enjoyed the cheesy garlic bread appetizer. Our entrees though left a bit to be desired. We had a wood fired pizza that looked wonderful, but we think they pulled it too fast. The center was doughy with unmelted cheese. We also had a "wrap" that was chicken ranch based that was also pulled too quickly. The unmelted cheese was overwhelming and while it was supposed to come with spinach, it wasn't noticeable, if there at all. It normally comes with peppers, but my wife didn't want those. Maybe the spinach was left off because it was ordered pepper free?? I might give them a try again, but wouldn't rush. read more

As of my review this place has 4.5 stars and they deserve them all! We were visiting for PGI and rolled in and could not decide so I asked our awesome server (Colleen) lto chose the best pizza for me and I was thrilled with the Roman holiday. It was delicious with the fresh cheese and basil and the meats complimented each other well. My daughter got a custom made pesto based chicken pizza and she loved it. And the mini sins cinnamon buns with added cream cheese and raspberry compote to dip them in were Devine! So if you are rolling through Gillette or live there, just visit this fantastic dining establishment and ask for Colleen, she will take great care of you as I'm sure they all will. read more

Our family of seven (4 generations) from Texas ate at Pizza Carrello for lunch while traveling to Wyoming and South Dakota for Fall Break. If I could give this restaurant more stars, I would!! I love that you can watch them make the pizzas and see the wood burning handmade stove! The pizza is Delish!!!Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten! There are many different pizza topping choices. We had the 1980's Pepperoni, the regular Pepperoni, the Monster and the Dazzle Berry. The raspberry compote on the Dazzle Berry was the Best!!! We also had desserts, the Nutella Calzone, the S'mores Calzone and the Raspberry Dream Pizza! All three desserts had a vote for the best dessert from among our family members!! The server was very friendly and the food was served extremely fast!! Very clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Definitely recommend Pizza Carrello if you are in Gillette!! read more

We have always loved this place ever since we found it as a pull behind trailer! Our pizza and appetizers are always great tasting. If you get the personal pizza it's the perfect size!! I got a small combination pizza and small order of buffalo wings which turns out to be 6 wings (why not just say 6 instead of small order. The wings were very good and 6 for $7 isn't terrible but $6 or 8 wings would be more reasonable. The main reason for the 3 stars is that the small pizza wasn't much bigger than a personal pan pizza from the Hut and it costs $12. The pizza was good but pricey for little more than an appetizer. I should've done Dominos $7.99 medium pan which I've found to be consistently very good and a much better bargain but I wanted to try a local establishment. Also a half star off for a somewhat terse phone order taker. Interesting looking place with the big open oven so eating in with the atmosphere may justify a little higher price but for take out I'll do Domino's next time I'm in town. read more

I was also craving chocolate dessert and was skeptical to try the nutella calzone (because it had cream cheese in it)... but I did and it was good!! You should definitely give it a try. We've been fans of theirs since they started as a mobile pizza oven that came to the park for events. then they moved to the back of the brewing company, then to the old zip-mailing spot, now to the old Prairie Fire building. Its really a great story of a local restaurant. Its great pizza. the sides are great. Quality dough, good ingredients, well cooked. The wood fired oven makes for a great crispy to the dough. Pizza combinations are thought-out well. I encourage you to try something alittle different. It does seem like they've taken prosciutto off their pizzas (and other items) and replaced it with bacon. read more

Clean bathrooms and good service. In Gillette, that is a good enough reason to go anywhere. If you live life a little different than most you'll find they are open to that as well. Cannot deny the quality of their food. The atmosphere and service, lacking. Crappy worn out paper menus, no napkins or condiments on the tables, and the server seemed to be very "put out" in serving. She wasn't mean or rude, but you could tell her and the others were foul molded and not friendly. One other issue is the cost. A 9" pizza shouldn't be $13. It feeds only one person, and if your super hungry you've already spent 30% more than an average 1 person meal. Second, they don't offer a large variety of choices on the menu. A few wraps, a few salads, and pizzas (which again the quality is phenomenal). Tone down the prices, your charging for 4-5 star quality with 1-2 star service. read more

We stopped here while traveling through Wyoming after seeing all of the positive reviews. We were not disappointed!!! Our high expectations were exceeded. It is awesome to find something on the menu besides all the typical pizza toppings. We did 1/2 and 1/2 Firecracker and Gardener which were both delicious!!! Neither had the typical marinara sauce base or were your typical go-to pizza. Unique flavors that blended together splendidly. The Firecracker had a little bit of sweet and smoky from the cream cheese and bacon, a little kick from the jalapeño and topped off with a fresh taste from the lime and cilantro. We also ordered salad and a vegetarian soup of the day which were both a little different from the norm and very good. The "icing on the cake" were the cinnamon roll bites - warm and gooey and just the right size!! Yum!! The 14 inch pizza is a good size for two people, especially if you get an appetizer or dessert to go with it. If we were in the area again we would come back! read more
