It's really hard to say. My most recent visit was just average. I remember back in the day this was the place now it seems like they are trying to do too much and the quality has suffered. They also only seem their Hoodies in the winter months, fyi it was June and the temp was 41 a nice Humphrey's hoody sure would have been nice! I stopped in on a Sunday evening while passing through the area. The place was moderately busy; traveling solo I went to the bar and found myself a seat. There were a couple of other customers in the bar area. The bartender was very friendly and chatty. Great beer selection. Excellent menu choices. I ordered the drunken chicken with fries and a side salad with ranch. All came out quickly and it was excellent. Super affordable. I look forward to going back when I'm in the area. read more

The cost doesn't help with the slow service unsure of what causes this issue if they're setting too many for the kitchen to keep up or if it's a server error. The ambiance is super unique. So great vibe. The food is fair some items were amazing others way less than...Wyoming salad was expensive for dried out steak and no peppers just sloppy but the appetizer's mozzarella sticks awesome potato skins bland chicken cordon bleu no and the bubba mango shrimp great. Very cool place to watch and I keep asking myself why I haven't ate there till now! The Chicken Breast (breaded), was easily some of the best I've had. Large and moist with just the right amount of breading. Onion rings are homemade and come with a side of their "Spicy Secret Sauce". WOW! Service was fantastic as was the Arnold Palmer. The place itself is really neat inside it has some many decorative touches it will take you back to your childhood. The options are endless so many to choose from. The service was fine. Where it lost stars was honestly the food. I ordered the Angioplasty and there were so many textures due to some of the items not really been cooked all the way. The pickles were mush the chicken was over cooked the bun was stale or just fried out. The price of this sandwhich was more expensive than options from The Rib and Chop. Good stuff! In town for the holiday from Colorado and followed the Yelp reviews to this gem. Started with the potato skins - perfect! Kiddo had the Humpty Dumpty - he said it was one of the best "fried egg on a burger" burgers he's ever had. I had the Waldren's Wallbanger with Hojos. Tasted great, remoulade sauce was delish - could have used more steak tips though. Hojos were good, but a little bland. They'd be perfect with a little more flavor - pro tip: they were great dipped in the remoulade. Best part of the experience was our server - Kiera was awesome!!! read more

We were in Gillette for a baseball tournament and stopped in here for a late dinner! The best part was our waitress! She was so friendly and went above and beyond to have bartender make me a special drink! She gave us great advice on our food order... it was hot and delicious! We will definitely be back in a couple weeks when we are in town for another baseball tournament! read more

Decided to try a new place to eat during my trip to Gillette. The atmosphere is definitely fun here and would be great for a large group. I was sat right away, but service after I sat was a little slow. My waiter appeared to have a large section he was serving. My salad was ok, had flavor, and was large. The croutons were delicious. Don't waste your time at this place. Took us an hour and half to get our food after we ordered. Asked waitress about order after about an hour and she said we were next in line, but then two other tables that came in after us got their orders. When our order finally arrived in was only warm. Stopped for dinner while traveling through Gillette. Place has a 90s TGIF decor but in a good way - sports memorabilia, antique bikes, etc. The staff were very friendly, explaining that they (like every place else were short staffed. We still were seated and served in a reasonable time. I got the Wyoming salad, which was great - tender steak pieces, crunchy fried okra, fresh lettuce and veggies. Apparently this place is a local favorite and people rave over it. This was the truth because when we got their on a Tuesday for dinner it was PACKED. My experience was fair. I ordered and angioplasty, it was pretty good. Interesting flavor with enough deep fried items to satisfy for about a month. Unfortunately, they go my order wrong the first time and that took away from the experience. Our server seemed somewhat rushed, but overall she did a good job. They have an all you can eat ribs special, DOOOOOOONNNNNNTTTTT DDDDDOOOOOO IIIIIITTTTTTT!!!!!!!! Unfortunately the ribs taste like they were boiled and they threw some BBQ sauce on them. I hate to say it, but they were the worse ribs I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot of ribs! You get big portions and you have an extensive menu to order from. Spent one night in Gillette, was intrigued by the reviews and was hungry for some local flavor. Went in on a quiet Sunday night, the hostess seated us immediately and we were left to browse the enormous menus. My wife and I finally agreed on an appetizer and chose our entrees. We closed our menus and continued to wait for some greeting or other acknowledgement from the server. It never happened. We continued to wait, apparently beneath the notice of several passing servers. I can understand delays in seating and even in delivery of orders when a restaurant is busy, but no excuse is appropriate for a table to go unacknowledged for nearly ten minutes on slow night. Finally, I set my phone on the table and set a one minute timer. When the timer counted to zero, we stood up and walked out, even waiting for a server to move out of my way before I could leave my booth. Not one employee said a word to us as we left, so I'm left to assume that our business was not wanted in this establishment. The menu items looked great, prices were reasonable, looked to be a well-run, successful local restaurant. The documented reviews of those who were properly served by their workforce seemed to paint a pleasant dining experience in Gillette. We'll never know. There is not a whole lot in Gillette and this place was a nice alternative to the junky fast food you find on road trips. I got the Wyoming Salad. The boyfriend got the chili dog. HUGE portions - I only ate half my salad and the boy's hotdog was monstrous. Definitely filled us up. Environment: Sports bar with crazy decorations. Outside, you have the plastic palm trees. After finding out a close family member was diagnosed with terminal cancer I decided to take my family member on a road trip to where ever he wanted to go. He decided he want to see Glacier, Yellowstone and the Badlands. So we set off for our trip and a few days into the trip we pulled off the freeway and stopped at a few little dive bars in Gillette just looking for a burger or something along those lines. Everywhere we stopped kinda sucked and no one had food to offer. After asking a few people where to get a meal they all agreed it had to be Humphreys. We ended up at Humphreys about a half hour before closing on a sunday night. We were greeted by friendly staff and eneded up sitting in the bar where we were met by our waiter John C. Not even knowing our circumstances John took care of us like we were family. John was professional and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He didnt miss a beat! The food was excellent! I had the bourbon glazed steak which was incredable ad my brother had the ribs which were out of this world. I just want to thank John and the rest of the staff for an unforgetable experience. I visited Humphrey's back in 2005 when I was out in Wyoming for work. Their portions are huge, the food is great and the moose t-shirts are so adorable ( I got the one that said "Been There, Humped That")! I ordered The Big Hurt which was 20oz of medium rare beefy goodness and yes, I ate the entire thing. My stomach was so full I could barely walk, but it was SO WORTH IT!
