Went here yesterday to try their buffet because on their online menu it states pizza salad and more ,,they had like 4 pizza out and that's it ,,no one told us we could have salad or more whatever more is .. This place is great If you're looking for authentic pizza. It has an atmosphere that breathes old and original. The service was pretty great, the "server" was friendly and answered the questions we asked. We ordered a medium cheese pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni, and 10 wings, 1/2 Buffalo, 1/2 lemon pepper. I would never order these wings again. First time I ordered the Veggie Specialty pizza from this location it was delicious, they even gave us a military discount. Second time I ordered the same specialty pizza and when picking it up, my husband noticed the pizza was missing toppings. When asked about the missing toppings, they said they didn't have said toppings and doubled up on spinach. We debated paying full price for an incomplete pizza and asked if they would apply a discount. They said they would but the total was higher than the previous time we purchased the same specialty pizza with all the toppings (and with a dollar off military discount), so we decided to walk away. Debated about going back due to the poor customer service and dishonest business practices but decided to give them another try. When I called, I was informed that my number was blacklisted due to not purchasing an incomplete pizza my previous visit. The person on the line sounded upset that we refused the pizza and reminded us he had given us a dollar off during our first visit - yet didn't care the pizza we came to purchase did not have all the toppings as advertised. Imagine you order a meat lovers specialty pizza and the pizza is missing pepperoni...would you pay full price for a specialty pizza that is incomplete? When my order arrived pizza was pretty good little soggy bottom crust and the wings had the worst smell of old grease that I've smelt in a long time, Wifey could not eat them, I stomach through two and had to throw them out. I'm giving 5 stars for two reasons: tastiness and making a hard to find (in Maryland) cauliflower based (keto/low carb) crust. This is not the usual which is their popular New York Style Pizza. But the lower carb version tasted just great! I've been missing pizza for the past 4 months on a Keto diet. All I've tried was a less than mediocre frozen supermarket pizza. So, I am updating my review, as much as I hate to. About 9 months ago, I left them a 4 review, but things have closed since then. Twice, I've ordered for work - at my insistence, when we were determining where to go. The pies had the most minimal of toppings and were just hard. Then, tonight, I ordered for my family and ended up with the same results. This all being said, I've yet to experience anything but heaven with their subs. For local pizza delivery, the two top places are definitely Pizza City and Andy's, which are oddly enough right across from each other. One day I'm going to have to do a side by side comparison of just a plain cheese pizza to try and figure out which is my favorite. On Halloween, we were going to order pizza from Middlway market which is on the way to see some friends, but they were closed that day. We had been seeing tons of posts about the pickle pizza at Pizza City, so we decided to order from there for the night. We got a large pickle pizza and a large pepperoni. The pepperoni pizza was great. The sauce has a great flavor, and the crust is top notch. When it comes to what constitutes a "pizza", I'm a bit of a purist. I mean, is any flat bread surface topped with melted cheese a pizza? Where is the rule book? I demand answers! hahaha. So..... about that pickle pizza. When we first heard about it and saw what was on it, we looked more confused than a dog who just heard a high pitched noise. Dill pickles?!?! and more dill?!?!? on a PIZZA?! Once my brain stopped short circuiting, the ingredients may seem weird for a pizza, but bread, cheese and a bunch of pickles.... that combo works on burgers and subs, so why not? Heck, there are all kinds of off the wall topping combinations on pizzas in Italy after all. Pickle pizza is actually pretty tasty. We weren't huge fans of it like a lot of the people we saw posting it on facebook, but it was tasty. Pretty much everybody had the same reaction - they'd open the box, stare at the pizza for a while, take a slice, stare at a slice for a while, and then say "I don't know about this" before taking a bite. Then a few seconds later, "hell..... this is actually pretty good!" While I still would rather have a good old fashioned tomato sauce pie over the pickle pizza, pickle pizza is still a tasty option. I was thinking about ordering it with an additional meat topping next time to see how that would turn out. Whether you are looking for a more traditional style pizza, or something a little different like pickle pizza, Pizza City will always give you a tasty meal. read more

Careful of the Coppers. Restaurant is next to a night club. Cops harrass. So after getting harassed by the local police , which I am told is common.for driving carefully in the rain, we finallygot our take out pizza. We had to get take out because to eat there you would have had to be a size one. Pizza was mediocre to say the least. Best part was fresh mushrooms. Barely any, but they were fresh. I have ordered from Pizza City many times and have always been pleased. Tonight I ordered a pizza and when it came it was grossly undercooked. I called the store to offer feedback and spoke with the manager on duty. I explained the situation to him and let him know that we had always been happy with their pizzas prior but that this one was not okay. The manager responded by saying that they used the exact same ingredients everytime. I let him know that it was not the ingredients that created this problem- it was the baking process that was lacking. He then responded that they had a different person in the back cooking and that "he" the manager, did not pay attention to the food as it went out because he was not in the back. There was no attempt to remedy my situation, and that is my real concern. I know that you shouldn't change your opinion on an establishment because of one subpar experience, but the lack of concern and the admission that the manager doesn't pay attention to the orders just ensured that I will not order from there again. read more

At first I loved the pizza here, this is the type I grew up with in Philly and the first time I ordered from them I was really excited that we found them. But we're done, we gave them about 4 chances. The delivery and the quality of the pizza is inconsistent and once the crust was so thin in places the thing fell apart when you tried to pick up a slice. What did it for us was the night we placed our order and an hour later... nothing. So we call and get some half-explanation about one of their "account" customers placed a large order at the same time we did, "didn't they tell you when you ordered?" Obviously not! In the end it took nearly two hours, no apology, nothing comped or tossed in to make up for the wait, and to top it off the pizza was COLD. Not luke warm, there was no warmth to it at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they made our pizza and let it sit there for the duration of time they served their "account" customer. That's just poor management. This could be my "home" pizza shop if they focused on pulling it all together. I know they can make a good pizza and I'm not the only person who'd rather not buy from a chain. Spectacular fail! I am actually amazed at just how many things this place screwed up. First of all I live very close by, normally I would walk to a place this close but was out and decided to stop in, order pizza and wings for delivery and went home to work and wait. One hour later still no pizza. Call and ask and am told the wings are just finishing, now I know we said crispy, but I am envisioning bone in chicken jerky after an hour. Call again still working on the order. A few min later still looking for the food and see the driver standing in my front yard, right in front of the big sign that says "deliveries at side gate" so we walk out and get the pizza passed over the fence. Now even after all this if the food was good I would have given a few stars, but no such luck. Wings were OK, but the pizza was cold and flavorless, the crust lacks flavor or consistency. Sauce was fair, toppings needed something. So inept service and poor food equals a no repeat. read more

I went to eat at Pizza City a little while ago. The outside of the building makes a look like just another crappy pizza joint, but I was pleasantly surprised at the food. More than that actually. I had a cheesesteak pizza, and IT WAS AMAZING. The best pizza I've ever eaten. The reason I rate this 4/5 instead of 5/5 was the cleanliness issue. I'm kind of a germophobe, and seeing the guy answer the phone and touch all sorts of obviously uncleaned surfaces and then proceed to make my pizza with his bare hands made me uneasy. Great pizza, they have an excellent monday special (seem to always have a special) on the cheese or the pizza any way (Large any toppings for $10)! We ordered delivery, it was quick, the sauce was amazing and clearly made by someone who liked sauce. The crust also was cooked perfectly. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is the extra cheese (we ordered peperoni+extra cheese) wasn't melted 100%. I'd just order regular cheese plus toppings in the future. Tried Pizza City for the first time. Ordered fried pickles (okay), Cheese bread (dry and plain- not good) and Gourmet pizza with eggplant. The eggplant turned out to be fried (not listed as such on menu) and was fried in dirty oil. Tasted like rock hard dry nuggets of fish. Ruined the pizza. Will not order from them ever again.
