I liked the set up; enter, grab a menu, order at the counter, they bring it out and clear but don't wait on you. My one complaint was I missed the speciality pizza when making my choice and only noticed it when I went to the bathroom. Maybe a future printing of the menu could call out looking at the welcome board for the special? The service was great and the food came out fast. What we got: Greek Salad - 3.5* it was pretty good but felt like something was missing. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I would get it again though. Skyline BBQ Chicken - 4* great flavour! I was in Winchester for work and decided to treat myself to a calories don't count carb night. This place did not disappoint. It was a reasonable walk from The George Washington hotel though it felt like it was somehow walking up hill both ways. The atmosphere is casual, warm, and friendly. Order at the counter, they give you a number and bring your food to the table you choose. I started with dessert first because... Why not? Key lime pie ice cream cookie bar with a brown sugar graham 'crust' ‍ For dinner I ordered a medium pie: 1/2 was their White Oak Canyon and the other half was their version of Margarita pizza. I wish we could give fractional scores. I would call this a 3.5. There is nothing wrong with the place. The setting is ok. The employees were ok. The pizza was much better than average for the area. The ingredients were quality. Problems were there was no crust char and very little undercarriage char but it tasted good. The hot sauce on the table is an extra star. Chipotle Tabasco is my favorite "not actually hot sauce" and the other one was tasty as well. Even if I was driving by and wanting pizza I might stop. I wouldn't make a trip for it. read more

Really good pizza, definitely one of the better ones I've had. Super cute restaurant, unique decor and nice outside seating area. When we went (6:30pm on a Saturday) they were very busy, but that was kind of expected. It was a little hard to find a seat, but the staff did really well with busing table quickly so new customers could sit. Didn't take too long to get our food. I thought it was a really reasonable time, especially considering how busy they were. My absolute only down side, and why I gave 4 stars, it is so freaking expensive! We had 2 medium pizzas, and two drinks. With a tip, we spent just shy of $80. Aside from the price, we enjoyed it and look forward to visiting again (next month when we can afford it again lol) read more

And that's coming from a New York native who knows her pizza. They have some booths inside and a cute little patio area with umbrellas and heaters if the weathers cold. Absolute must and favorite pizza spot EVER! Never ever lacks in flavor and quality. Owner and staff are so kind. It's a very hometown feeling spot, laidback atmosphere. It's small yet big enough and plenty of outdoor seating should you choose that. They also have VA local ice cream half pints now and nightingale ice cream sandwiches. We always get the bee sting pizza which is pepperoni pizza drizzled with hot honey and red pepper flakes, a pepperoni for the kids and cheese bread as well. Pizza is crisp to perfection. I finally got to try this place with my wife. The parking is rather limited so you may have to walk a bit to get there. There's only about eight tables inside and there is some outdoor seating. You order at the counter and get your plates and silverware and they bring your food to your table. We ordered the special salad and it was delicious and plentiful. It was so good. We got one to go so my wife could have it for lunch the next day. The pizza was fantastic, probably the best pizza in Winchester. It had great ingredients and the crust was absolutely perfect. Jam packed at 12 noon! My friends and I visited Winchester, VA today. We stopped by Pizzoco Pizza and were delighted at the range of food choices; salads, subs, pizza, Stromboli, breadsticks, adult libations, etc. We were excited to order but noticed it was only 11:45 am. I asked the manager if they were open yet and he kindly said it was close enough. (We learned they technically opened at noon.). He kindly took our orders, gave us numbers so the food runners could find our table, and we snacked on Route 11 chips (delicious!!!) while waiting for our orders to be made. Breadsticks were cheesy with just enough Parmesan and garlic to give them a bite. Both of my friends ordered smaller pizzas and they mentioned how delicious the pepperoni pizza and the mushroom pizza were. I ordered a pesto sub which was easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Basil pesto, mozzarella cheese, balsamic reduction drizzled on top of other veggies I added to my order (spinach, tomato, onion, peppers, etc.). The sesame sub roll was toasted and the nutty sweetness of the sesame paired perfectly with the basil pesto and reduction. We ate inside and enjoyed the cool temperature. Despite the heat (85 degs), many sat outside on the patio under well placed umbrellas. As if by magic, at 12 noon on the dot, this place was packed with customers. I asked one of the guests if this place was always so busy and he confirmed this was the case. The interior has an interesting industrial feel with exposed brick point, ceiling beams and pipes. Orders are taken and paid for at the register and customers then sit where they like. I noticed how quickly food was sent out. There were people of all ages seated inside and out enjoying the cleanliness (including the bathroom), efficiency, kindness of the staff and delicious preparations. Well done Pizzoco! I do not understand the good reviews. My first visit we tried the sicilian pizza and it was okay, but nothing I would ever get again. I thought this must not be their specialty, next time I'll try the round pizza. We ordered the veggie pizza. The ingredients in this specialty pie do not taste good together and the sauce was too sweet and the cheese tasted of parmesan. For $34 out the door, it was put in the garbage. Yuck. read more

Had the opportunity to dine here while on a work trip. First off the staff here are super friendly and inviting. We were able to be seated in side. I am sure during busier hours that it would be a bit more difficult due to the size of the parlor, but there is also a great outdoor seating area. We were able to split our pizza with two selections from the menu which was a huge plus in my book. Both were absolutely delicious. We also got the cheese bread and it was just as good. Let me talk about the crust. This is normally not something I eat, but I could not stop at this one. They have truly nailed the recipe. The crust under the pizza was crispy and absolutely no soft or soggy spots. My favorite part is the mural inside. Make sure to ask the story behind it. It's a good one and has a great message back to a local from the past. I had intentions to try one of the ice cream sandwiches I am the stand up cooler, but will have to on another visit. Really, REALLY good freshly made pizzas! The hiker's special pizza was the fave for most of us. The pappagiorgio was okay, the meatballs could've also been cut smaller. The create your own was pretty good too. I loved the grapefruit smash drink (made with vodka, contains 7.5% alcohol). After 2, I started feeling a little nice (buzz). They also have a variety of icecream cakes to choose from. I personally had the cookie monster flavor which is basically cookies and cream and it was pretty good.
