I have ordered two different times with two different menu items. Order 1- "the works" pizza: The pizza was decent; had good cheese an a good amount of toppings. Nothing excellent, though. Order 2- burgers, fries and wings. The burgers are cheap, so with that said, I didn't expect much. Very tasteless. The beef tasted very dry and had absolutely no flavor or seasonings; it honestly did not even taste like beef. It reminded me of one of those burgers you can get from the school cafeteria when you were a kid. Pretty awful--but cheap. The fries were very soggy and also had no flavor. I felt a little disappointed as it is hard to mess up french fries. The wings were okay except they did not toss the wings in the sauce; they merely fried chicken, gave me a cup of the sauce I ordered and a packet of "Kraft" Blue Cheese. This place sits right beside my favorite little bakery D'lish. My wife wanted a small pizza and we were in the neighborhood so I call for a pizza pickup. We ordered a small thin crust half cheese and half pepperoni and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. So we got there about 5 minutes early and I went in to pick it up. The place is small inside with about 3 maybe 4 tables. The gentlemen behind the counter was friendly and told me the price of my pizza. So I paid them and wala my pizza was in my hands and I proceeded home. After we got home we dug in to the pizza and it was no a bad little pizza. It was not a lot of sauce and not over loaded with cheese. And it was not as greasy as I anticipated and it had a very good flavor. So now I've got to get me some more of there pizza's and check out all the toppings. But if you go don't plan on eating there as there may not be any open tables. Other wise it is a pretty good pizza shop so give'em a try. read more

Stopped on in here last week for some easy grab-and-go pizza for dinner one night. The service was superb and the staff was super friendly. As I have newly moved to this area, it was nice they were so kind and helpful when it came to choosing options for my dinner. After a quick wait, I ran home to try my freshly made dinner and BOY OH BOY was it is good. After two slices, I was stuffed. These slices remind me of NY style pizza - just overwhelming large for one piece of the pie. They make the best Calzones, and their "small" is huge! It is for a great price. Their delivery is very fast, you can order online and the food is generally still hot. The Cheese fries (both cheddar and mozzarella) are items we get almost as much as we get Calzones, also the Roast beef Panini with thousand island and no tomato...omg yum. Ok so, I found this gem out here in Richmond while visiting for work. I tell you, Yelp is a life saver! Somehow I've managed to eat here 3 times this week. Tonight was by default but hey; it was a great choice. Customer Service I do want to point out that the staff is super nice. Great customer service goes a long way. Food First visit - I tried to CYO Stromboli. I used Pepperoni, onions and green peppers. It was a little on the greasy side. It was good but was definitely enough food for 3 people. Second Visit - My job decided to get takeout here so I went with the Cheesesteak wrap without mushrooms add green peppers. I also tried the fries with a side of ranch. Once again; plenty of food. Could have shared my wrap. The only con is that it was super greasy so the chance of enjoying it later was slim to non. Third Visit - As I wrapped up my travels I wanted to eat something different but this place won by default. I had my mind set on wings... Get there and they had just sold out... BUMMER!!!! So I decided to go with the Gustoso (pardon my spelling). It has Grilled Chicken, Spinach, pepperoni, provolone and ranch. It's super delicious. My con was that it was so much ranch that it was super soggy. Enough food for two or a midnight snack later but prob wouldn't taste good later.... I also wanted to try the Zucchini Fries... But guess what; yeah you guessed it; they were out. Matter of fact they may be discontinuing the product on the menu. So I went with Onion Rings. They were super tasty. PIZZA EXPRESS PROFILES IT'S CUSTOMERS: I'd been a customer since they opened their doors in the Village Green; 9yrs ago. I'd had two complaints about their food which were quickly resolved by the manager. Once I had two burned pizzas (which I did have to proof by taking one back). My second issue was my steak subs were taste-less (the meat was too finely shredded during cooking and lost all it's flavor). These subs were cooked quite differently than many previous orders. Complaint #3 happened when I ordered pizza for the Grandkids at 4pm on a Monday. The receipt showed our pizzas came out of the oven and were charged to my card at 4:22 pm. The pizzas weren't delivered til 5pm and I live less than 3miles away. They were cold and burned. When I called to discuss my issues I spoke with the owner and got a big shock. He told me that I was a PROBLEM customer since I'd had two previous complaints. They'd profiled me though my telephone number as a bad customer. He was very disrespectful. He didn't want to see the pizza, didn't care how long I'd been a customer, didn't care how much I spent monthly and said they don't guarantee a delivery time. I'd never waited more than 35minutes in 9yrs.for my orders to arrive. All he offered was a 10% discount on my next order. I was still in shock and said I guess you don't need or value my business...he said NO we don't and hung up on me. THAT WAS MY LAST and FINAL ORDER. Pizza Express makes a wonderful authentic pizza; when it's cooked and delivered properly; but it's not worth being profiled for !! read more

We order delivery from Pizza Express about 2-4 times a month and it is always good! Favorites of ours: the hoagie pizza, ham & cheese sub, tiramisu, and cannoli. It can take up to an hour for delivery if it is a busy night, but they are always polite and the food is awesome! Crust was thin and light, great flavor. I'm not that picky when it comes to pizza (imo) but there is so much bad pizza out there I appreciate when it is done right. Burger, 3.5 star -- could use a little more beef. I am not that into meat but the patty was a little bit pitiful. Good taste, not too heavy, not too greasy. Reasonable Value at ($5.50?) Here's a problem. Their website is horrible (mobile perspective). They do not list store hours and I could not find prices. Somewhere on the internet (Google) was a menu that advertised a $12.99 special for 2 large 1 topping pizza, when I called to ask I was disappointed to hear the proper price -- price was too good to be true so can't blame them for bad info. Anyhow, i don't have an itemized receipt or accurate menu source -- minor nuisance. I'm a fan! Could be a 5 star joint, this was my first visit. I will try more of the menu and let you know. ETA I ordered a "bacon jalepeno cheeseburger" and was told it was not a thing (but they would make it of course). Maybe I was looking at the wrong menu after all! I love going here because of the location to my house. Their pizza is pretty good, their buffalo wrap was pretty good although the chicken was over breaded but I liked the sauce. Their burgers are AWESOME! The first time I ordered it I knew I'd have a meal for at least 2 days and wound up finishing it. The only thing I would say is never order the grilled chicken sandwich. It was a huge piece of chicken but looked and tasted just like the inside of a McNugget. Like when you were a kid and peeled the breading off only slimier.... the dog wouldn't even eat it. That and the Italian wedding soup made me feel a little ill. I've been going there about once a week since I moved here and overall I've been satisfied besides those 2 dishes. read more
