I love this little place. I just dropped by one day because I needed to get out of the house. the service is awesome. The staff are friendly and kind. It's very chill in there. It was too cold to sit outside when I was there, but they do have tables and chairs outside for better weather. I ordered the white truffle mushroom pancetta and a little cocktail (I forgot what it was!). Everything was perfect. I sat at the bar eating and sipping while practicing ATC calls. I had a lunch meeting here with a couple colleagues... The manager working here was very helpful and friendly, and their menu is loaded with many tempting options. I tried their Spicy Sausage Mushroom pizza and it was EXCELLENT! The dough was outstanding and the slight char on the crust was perfect. Toppings were fresh and tasty, with a nice kick from the Calabrian chili paste. Local pizza and brewery is a mixture of really good and some real challenges. Went on a Friday night and there was only one wait staff. A really nice young man who was working very hard to please everybody and help them to have a good dining experience. But clearly they need more help. The pizza is Neapolitan real pizza. To say that it's woodfired is a bit of an oversell. It's really gas fired. It was delicious with a wonderful crust around the edges, and those terrific burnt pieces that come with woodfired ovens. But the center portion of the pie was either not thick enough or under coated to the point that it fell apart. It made the center portion of the pizza very very difficult to eat. Came here to work and eat at the outdoor seating as the business claims free WiFi, but the person working didn't know the password. He finally came back with a password that was incorrect or maybe you have to be indoors for it to work. So I won't hold that against them (I'll just try indoors next time). Ordered the roasted sweet potato, ricotta and sausage pizza with the smoked woodford old fashion. Wife got the fig and goat pizza with prosciutto. The flavors on the pizzas weren't super impressive but were not bad at all (I finished my whole pizza in one sitting...willingly). And the old fashioned was tasty, but the glass had a long crack in it so I tried to drink on the other side of the glass to avoid any potential cut. Chill vibes overall. Great addition to Chesterfield. Highly encourage checking Local out. We came in on a Thursday during Happy Hour (3-6pm as of this post). Between my Wife and I we had a strong ale and a blood orange IPA. We had no plan to eat but the pizza coming out of the oven sold itself. We opted for the hot honey pepperoni pizza. It was small enough for 1 if you're hungry or just enough for 2 to split if you're snacking while drinking a beer. Friendly service in a clean somewhat upscale venue. read more

I need to update my previous post. As previously stated, pizza is delish! I mean I love it! My main gripe last time was the Chef- again, excellent pizza, but super slow service from the chef and forgetting to make the pizza. UPDATE: went with my daughter and they have a new Chef. Service amazing. Pizza delish as always, but the new Chef knows to get things done. We were seated, and had our food in less than 15 combined! Come on now - that's what I'm talking about! Thank You! I love you my little precious hidden pizza gem. Oh and BTW - tried the Cherry Stout and it was good! I've been looking for decent pizza in this area for quite a while and recently saw a friend had posted on Facebook that they went to this place. So when my daughter and I had a chance to go out just the two of us, we decided to give it a try. They have a simple menu which I like. It typically means they do a few things and they do them well. I read through some of the other reviews and there's one in particular that I don't understand. Someone mentioned that the pizza was not right... Like it was not made right or something. I don't know what their experience was like. This is how I like my pizza: simple but good toppings, very thin crust cooked in an extremely hot oven very quickly. (The gentleman that took our order said that it takes longer to make the pizza than it does to bake it.) I can't say anything about the beer selection because I don't drink beer or wine, but they seem to have a good selection for those that do. All I can say is that I am very much looking forward to going back and trying everything else on the menu. Keep up the good work and I'll be back again and again. read more

I wanted to love this place. However, it missed the mark. The pizza definitely needs some work. I've tried a lot of pizzas. Pizza is my favorite food. Pros - Fresh ingredients. Brick oven Cons - The use of fresh marinara is too watery which makes the dough soggy. At the bottom of the crust it tastes as if it burnt. It didn't taste like brick oven pizza. So the remnants of water + the burnt taste didn't go over well. Each pizza is a speciality pizza, so if you want a regular cheese pizza - you have to request it. It doesn't give you that brick oven taste that you are looking for. Appetizers were unappealing to be a pizza + brew place. Suggestion - this place needs wings. read more

This place is by the people who own Brew. The menu choices are very unique. Sweet potato pizza? I Definitely had to try that! The young lady who served us was very helpful and friendly, I did not catch her name though. I did make the mistake of going on a pretty darn hot day, which - had I thought about it - would have been smarter to go on a day when the oppressive heat outside wouldn't have been working with the pizza oven to show the air conditioner who was boss. Came here one weekend with our 1 year old. We were immediately offered a high chair! It wasn't too busy, which was awesome for us. They offer a lot of outdoor seating options for those with dogs! They have a bunch of local small brewers on tap with interesting flavors. It was fun to try them knowing we probably wouldn't have been able to if they didn't have them showcased. We ordered two pizzas- the goat/fig and hot honey pepperoni. I wished there was a little more goat cheese on the pizza but we enjoyed both of them! We will definitely be back! read more

The hot honey and pepperoni was ok except it wasn't fully cooked in the middle and did have that burnt taste a bit like another yelper described. I cannot fathom why it took us so long to try this place. It may be small, but wow is it marvelous. My husband and I decided to give it a try since we live close by, and we will absolutely be returning customers. The food was excellent and quick, and we enjoyed the craft beer on tap. I am appreciative that our server was honest in his recommendation and ended up getting two beverages when I planned to have one. It was not busy when we went on the earlier side, but the service was so kind and friendly and we had a great chat! The atmosphere was sophisticated for a small place as well. It also seemed a bit undercooked in the center but the crust had a very burnt, smokey taste that made it odd as well. All that said, the ambiance of the place was really nice. Service was the real saving grace of this place, they were fast and efficient, I went in with a friend of mine we both ordered the Carne pizza and took it to go back to work. The pizza was miserable the sauce tasted terrible the toppings were sorry at best. The pizza itself as a whole made me gag when I attempted to eat it and I threw it away. My friend took one bite and said that It was understatement of how bad it was when I was telling him. The pizza wasn't cheap eater you get a "personal size" pizza they called it for $15 before tax and for the taste and amount next time I'll just be buying a whole pizza from 7-Eleven cause it would taste better, be bigger, while also being much cheaper at sub $10.
