I called the store at 9:45 to place a carry out order since all the others were closed - being 20 minutes out of my way. All of the hours posted say 11:00. She told me she could not take my order because they had already closed early. Verbatim. I worked the pizza industry for over four years and not once did we "close early". I first went to Pizza Factory in Los Banos, and now that I live in Modesto I knew of this place and ordered a pizza. The Pizza is good, the reason for three stars is the cost. Great pizza place have gone two times in the past week ordered a all pepperoni an jalapeños XL $26.50. 3 days later i called had some great friendly service. I ordered a half combo an half Pepp XL Was gonna be 26 but she offered to give me a coupon which came out to 18 was very thankful. The service is great but i come here for the the super delicious mouth watering pizza. Not only are the ingredients perfectly topped on the pizza but the melty cheese is a taste from a different world. This place is the worst. We've lived in Hughson over 22 years. We've tried this local pizzeria several times and stopped when they continuously got our orders wrong. So we stopped. This past month we figured after 15 years maybe they would have improved. We tried the combination and what we got was alot of thick cut mushrooms and very little of the other toppings. We tried one more time tonight and we ordered half combo and half salami. This is what we got, half combo and half cheese one piece of salami. read more

If I could give this place ten stars I would. Just visited The Pizza Factory today for the first time and ordered about $50.00 in takeout. Three pizzas, breadsticks and a 2 liter. The building is well kept, clean and in a safe location. There is plenty of parking too. The service and food was excellent. I cant give this place enough compliments. The crust, sauce and toppings are all 100% fresh and perfectly proportioned. The employees are service oriented and even helped me to my car with my order. I highly recommend The Pizza Factory. Drove all the way from Waterford and will continue to do so in the future. read more

Want to have a party? This is the place to do it. We live in Turlock but had someone recommend this location due to a great experience they had. The group of guys that were working that day were awesome. They made our pizzas fast, delicious & made sure we had everything we needed. One of only several restaurants in this miserable little town and the service and food was terrible. The one person working on this day was a rude, unprofessional, thug. I ordered two pizzas. The cheese on the pizza was under cooked and slipped off the crust before it was off the tray. The combination pizza was dry and not even close to being cooked. The cheese and vegetables were cold and both pizzas were not even close to being cut properly. The untrained cook - cashier slid my credit card twice and thought that I would not catch it. So thanks for ruining mine and my children's first and last visit to your establishment so crappy. read more

Hi so I normally don't write reviews for places but I thought I should this time. I recently went to the pizza factory in hughson,ca for the first time. When I first walked in I noticed a very strong odor. I go look at the menu and order. I was waiting awhile. While they were catching up on orders I am watching them as I didn't have much else to do I am waiting for at least 30 min or more for take out. There are three employees working and while I was waiting the delivery guy went on two deliveries. I was disgusted with what I saw. Not one of them washed their hands not once and they touched their hair face personal phones the store phone and the cash register. I know this is against serve safe as I have taken it and work at a local restaurant. When they told me that they were going to start on mine I asked who is making mine and she said the other girl was I asked if she could instead and that she needed to wash her hands first. The next day I contacted the manager and told him what had happened and he informed me that the health department says that using hand sanitizer is ok and that he keeps telling them that they need to wash but when I asked him what he was going to do he said bring it up at the next meeting. No wonder the staff doesn't do what they need to he doesn't manage anything. Also the whole time I was watching them not one of them used the hand sanitizer. This restaurant is gross and the bacteria that they are putting in the food is bad and I will not be returning I can't knowing that they aren't required to do something as simple as hand washing. Sorry this is so long but hopefully this will help and that something can be done thanks for your time. read more
