Probably not again . They don't seem ready for business. When we got there and sat down the server said there were only 3 people in the kitchen so service may be slower than usual. It would be understandable if other parties were getting food before us. Here's the deal. We sat there for an hour after ordering. We ordered before anyone else and only saw salads come out for almost 1.5 hours. A guy that was there for about 40 min before us still didn't have his food and they were just barely coming out to inform him that there were not anymore chicken strips so he would need to reorder then came back to tell him there aren't any noodles either. . We asked the other guy how long he was there. He said over 2 hours for salads , chicken strips and a sandwich. Some of which were cancelled. After about an hour and 15 min we received 1 steak sandwich and 2 burgers. We ordered a side of Garlic Fries but received regular fries. I thought it would come out super hot and fresh. It was literally mediocre. Servers did what they could but the kitchen really failed the business. Also the hours of the business are insanely sporadic. Gotta get something going for you. If you can't be fast your food must be immaculate. Then to pay. We had a large bill to pay and also had a GC we purchased as well. They were 100% able to sell the gift card but unable to redeem it. The person that cashed us out also didn't know how to make it right so she grabbed another person to help. It was definitely taken care of but I did feel like I was inconveniencing them to pay after almost being there for 2 hours. read more

We did carry out, but the space is nice. Located in downtown Hughson, it feels like what it is - a neighborhood restaurant. A bit tight, but nicely done. Menu is interesting with a bit of everything. Grill food to pasta. We had the cowboy burger, turkey sand, spicy bbq wings and brisket nachos. The burger was good quality, large and nicely prepared. Turkey was served on ciabatta- which we felt made it a bit dry, but tasted great - nice smoked flavor. The wings were very solid. Crispy, smoked good sauce. The nachos were good - flour chips, generous meat portion. We chose garlic fries for our side with the sandwiches - the fries are nothing special, batter dipped ( we don't prefer) - but well prepared. Overall, the food was really good. Staff was friendly and engaged. Lots of thank You's and smiles. We got shorted our wings - this wasn't a big deal because my wife was in the car and discovered it before we left - but would have been an issue if I drove 20 minutes back home and discovered- again, no issues - went back in and they promptly handled - more important - genuine apologies. The food was well packaged - including separating the nacho ingredients- which is a nice touch and shows they care about what they are putting out. Price was high. $73 pre tip for above. Also, they charge a 4% premium for cards. It isn't 1982:- you aren't shy about menu pricing, so don't penalize those that use technology. Overall a good meal, and the team obviously care about what they are doing. We will be back and I wish we had something like this in our small town. read more

Just stopped by to try this place. We welcomed in by the waiter. Helpful and pleasant service. Nice interior. Our food was wonderful. The chicken sandwich was on point. Crispy and delicious. The western burger was the perfect balance of bacon meat onion rings and sauce. The buns were soft but a great vehicle for the sandwiches. Open seating. You sit where a spot is available. Really fun, little place! Great country music playing. Greeted by a kind worker and he handed me the menu. Lots of delicious menu items. Started off with a Diet drink that was brought quickly. After talking to the nice worker I ended up ordering the El Rancho chicken sandwich with a side salad. Country themed restaurant! I was super excited to try this place because I am a huge fan of Slick Fork. However, I was a little disappointed with the food. It was not as flavorful as Slick Fork. We got the brisket quesadilla, nachos, tacos, and vaquero burger. The service was also a little slow. However, the ambiance was great. Roy, Jake, Kandy and I went to the Ranch Hand restaurant in Houston last night for dinner. We sat outside in the patio area. It was very spacious with string lights everywhere. It was a very chill place with a good vibe. They had a live band which was awesome! The food was delicious! I had a loaded potato with brisket. Roy and Kandy both had teriyaki kebabs, and Jake had a steak. We all tried each other's food. Everything was seasoned and cooked to Perfection! The waitstaff are all very friendly and attentive! A family friendly casual restaurant. With approximately 30-35 seats indoor you should make a reservation for parties over 4; they also have limited outdoor seating. Enjoyed the black n blue burger special with delicious crispy fries. Others in our group really enjoyed the brisket taco appetizer. They had a nice selection of wine and craft beers. I looked for a bbq place in the yelp app. The ranch hand came up so I took my dad to go check this place out. When we pulled up I could hear the music. It was a Friday and I said to my dad. This is a party!!! We love music so this was right up our alley. We went in and was greeted right away. They were very busy but we're very on top of it. I observed everyone on their team helping out. Worth the trip! Try it! I'm giving this place 5 stars, but it's really about 4.5. I'm so glad that the owners of Slick Fork opened this up, but I hope they keep expanding the menu to include brisket sandwiches and other Slick Fork favorites in the menu. A few cheaper items would be great too! We had the Buffalo wings and a burger. The wings were great! The Buffalo sauce tasted homemade and quality! I have had many Buffalo wings in my life and these are worth ordering here! The burger was ok. Bacon a little fatty and burger really thick and juicy. I think I prefer crispier bacon and a less meaty burger, so this could just be a preference. Although, it did seem it needed just a little something else. Probably comparing it to the brisket, it just couldn't compete. We had a pear cider that was perfect and fantastic! Although, the second time we went, here, they had sold out. Friday evenings they have live music that was enjoyable. Overall, I'd definitely go back and would like to try a few more things on the menu before I make it a staple in my life. My wife brought me to dinner there last night. She had been to the Ranch Hand before and thought I would like it. She was wrong.... I loved it! The place had a really cool rustic yet modern style. Since I'm kinda of a beer snob and I was impressed by the beer they had available. I wasn't expecting that. We started with the Brisket Nachos. Wow! It was a really big plate and could have been dinner for the both of us. I thought the brisket was great! I ordered the Cowboy burger and my wife had the Vaquero chicken sandwich. Both was very tasty and the perfect size. The ladies that served us, were both friendly and efficient. It was nice to be treated so well instead of like an inconvenience like some other places.
