Pizza Gallery has made MANY pizzas for the Clay City community. The TH one surely has the same basic menu. I'm personally a fan of their thin crust sausage despite usually wanting pepperoni. If you're looking for a cheap flimsy pizza, this isn't it. The pizza is good. Good chewy crust, plenty of toppings and the sauce is pretty good. Breadsticks and sandwiches are on point! Takes a good 40min to get your food, delivery is a tad slow... but totally worth it! It's best to call your order in on the way home and pick it up. Price is mid point. Not too expensive, not cheap. Plan on spending $30 to feed a family of 3. Staff is very friendly and treat you great! Seating are is rather small and low lit. Not many seats, but most people take the pizza to go anyways. Parking lot is a bit rough as well. But like I said, it's more a stop and go place than a dine in. read more

Yuck! This was the first time ever getting food from this place. My salad: The lettuce was brown and wet and the tomatoes/green peppers were soggy and old. The sauce and pizza had no flavor. WARNING: injury to your family may follow if you choose to go here. Allow me to explain... I decided to take my wife here for Valentines Day. I was tired of the big chain restaraunts that we've been to a hundred times. I wanted something off the beaten path and not so predictable. I had heard that this place had opened on the east side of Terre Haute a few months ago and it piqued my interest. I went online to check it out, as I do with many places I've never been to. However, I found very little aside from a measly facebook page that was lack of a description, pictures, menu or anything else of much use. I called to see if they were open, which, of course, they were. We pulled up to the place and I immediately had second thoughts. The place was kinda creepy. It's right next to a shady looking motel and the exterior is a little run down. We sat in the car for a couple minutes deciding if we even wanted to go in. Summing the boldness of the pizza gods, we marched in determined not to cave in to the corporate standbys. The inside is sooo much better than the outside. I was immediately put at ease and we ordered our food. We went with breadsticks and calzones. For $22, I had high expectations. So we grabbed a seat and waited... Let me tell you, what followed next was mind-altering. This was some of the best food I've ever put in my mouth! Most breadsticks are doughy and lifeless, but these were awesome! A little crispy in the outside and perfect inside. They were brushed with garlic butter which made them even better. The calzones were...I don't know what word to use. I guess this is where the injury part comes into play. The phrase that comes to my mind is: slap-yo-mama-good! Do not go here with your mother, the food is so good, you'll be tempted to slap her (it only applies to your mom, I don't know why, don't ask so many questions). Seriously, it was incredibly good. You have your choice of 3 toppings and sauce. I went with chicken, mushroom, and green pepper. Eating this was like a little Italy festival in my mouth. It was beautiful! Each calzone could nearly feed two people, depending on how much you want to stuff your face. Next time I think we'll opt for just one and split it. On the other hand, we have the leftovers the next day and it was just as good. I struggled between 4 and 5 stars. Yet I can't overlook the weak online presence and the sketchy looking exterior, which are both part of the experience. We will absolutely return to this place. Our taste buds will demand it. We didn't try their pizza but If it's anything like their calzones, it's a winner. The food, staff, and interior were excellent. I fully recommend this place. Go here. Support this local business. If you drive by pizza gallery you probably wouldn't expect much from the appearance on the outside but don't let that stop you from trying it. Great pizza (although I would recommend getting the large because the smaller sizes just don't seem the same.) but the thing that will bring you back are the breadsticks! They sit in a little pool of garlic butter... They are absolutely delicious! I've also had their Calzones and they're also very good and reasonably priced. The seating area inside is actually kinda nice. Nothing fancy by any means but just to get some pizza with your friends or family I would definitely recommend it. Coming from Detroit there aren't many places I really like in Terre Haute but pizza gallery is my recommendation for pizza in town! read more

This place was recommended by someone we know. We didn't even know it existed as you never see coupons or anything for it. Since the first trip we have made it a regular. The prices are fair and I think they make the best pizza in town. If you go you must try the breadsticks. They are well worth the $4.50 for all that you get and they drizzle them with butter and garlic. The calzones will rival any of their competitors. The other thing I like is you never wait long. No matter how busy they are your pizza is done in 15 minutes. The put plenty of topping and cheese in their pizzas. My brother and I both enjoy this place very much. We order carry out and can pick it up within 10 min. The staff has always been very friendly. The pizza is great - lots of toppings and cheese. Then I found out they have a cauliflower crust which is beneficial for those limiting their carbs like me. I still prefer thin crust and will treat myself to that next time. My brother found this place when Papa John's would no longer deliver out to us saying that our location was too far. We can take the back roads and reach Pizza Gallery quickly. In Terre Haute we have a ton of pizza parlors, restaurants that offer pizza as a menu item, carry-out and delivery choices. When it comes to good pizza locally, we have only a couple of choices. This place ain't no "hut" junk. The sauce is some of the best tasting I have ever had, and when you ask for "extra" sauce they actually know what that means. And they have TACO PIZZA. Some of us remember the Pizza Inn Taco Pizza. The Pizza Gallery is REAL close. I loved it! (It is NOT that corn chip laden mess found at Casey's gas station---YUCK!!!) I do have a couple of suggestions, however. At night, this place is a bit hard to find if your not looking for it, and it appears to be run down on the outside (albeit, NOT on the inside). Perhaps placing some lighted signs in the front windows facing US 40 (E Wabash Ave) and replace the burned out light bulbs in the arrow sign out front near the road. Better yet, place all of the bulbs with higher watt (brighter) bulbs. If people find this place and give a try once, they WILL be back over and over. read more

One of the newer pizza restaurants in Terre Haute, the Pizza Gallery is located where Rollie's pizza use to be when they were out by Lost Creek elementary school on US 40 east of town. Let's be blunt here, the joint looks a bit like a dive from the outside. The inside, however is clean and tidy and looks like many other Mom and Pop pizza joints. While I did see the inside of the restaurant, It is probably unfair of me to review the inside experience. Our order was take out. I am a fan of what I call "gunky" pizza. I like lots of different toppings. Some purists might not agree with me but give me a supreme pizza any day over a single topping pepperoni pizza. My wife indulged me this time and we ordered the supreme pizza. We both enjoyed the pie quite a lot. It was full of cheese and the sauce was not too acidic. I'm not overly fond of acidic tomato sauce. The toppings were fresh and the pizza was well cooked. For my personal taste I would have liked the crust to be just a little crisper but I'm pretty sure that McNair's first law of pizza, which states that the quality of the pizza experience is inversely proportional to the distance you have to take the pizza to eat it, came into play. While I enjoyed the pizza when I got home with it, I'm sure it would have been better at the restaurant. The pizza was good enough that we will order again sometime. If i could i would bump my rating up to 3.5 stars. read more

This was my first time eating here. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The only reason I did not give it a perfect 5 start rating, was the service or lack there of! I walked in for the first time only to be simply stared at by the lady standing behind the register. She expected us to know what to do. So I asked should we just seat ourselves?, to which she replied yes. As we are about to sit down she says just come up here and order when you're ready. So as I'm halfway seated, I get back up to go look at the menu on the wall, as no menus were offered to us. As we're trying to figure out what they have, sizes etc. She just continues to stare without offering any help or advise. I then choose the bacon cheeseburger pizza which again was absolutely delicious! We now need drinks, of course we're not asked if we want drinks or told our options.I then have to ask a series of questions to figure out our drink options. At this point we are frustrated needless to say. We get our drinks and go find a table. The pizza was out in maybe 5 minutes! It was refreshingly fast! She brought the pizza out and disappeared. Toward the end of our meal I wanted a cheese dipping sauce for the incredible tasting hand tossed crust. The menu said it was 75 cents for dipping sauces. So I walked up to the register with 75 cents and had to yell for someone to come help me. She said that will be 80 cents. Confused I said but the menu says 75? She ignored me and walked back to get the cheese. She then hands me a cup of cheese fresh out of the fridge Ice cold!! No offer to warm it up or anything, then disappears once again! We finished and packed up. Nobody around to say thank you or goodbye or have a nice day. Nobody came during the meal to ask how everything tasted or if we needed anything else! I always tip 18 to 20% no matter what the circumstances. But with the employee literally doing nothing, I walked straight out without tipping and contemplating whether to ever return or not. Which is sad because it's some of the best pizza in town! If their costumer service doesn't do a complete 180 I wouldn't doubt it if they aren't around much longer. So get that pizza while you can and be prepared to wait on yourself! read more
