Had a horrible experience with the "new" Dumfries pizza hut location. Here are some key take aways/tips from that night: Make sure employees are not being rude and discouraging to customers closer to end of shift. Although they would like to leave when the store closes, this is not ideal. The breakdown and cleanup of the worksite should not be a priority over providing and serving customers before the closing time. If they want to leave at a certain time then the store should be closed already before cleanup begins. If they want to leave at 12 then the store should be closed at 1130. They cannot expect to leave just because the store has closed. Secondly the employees should not ask customers to call sooner, when placing an order, to avoid delaying their departure from work. Customers rely on the store to honor the posted times. And expect service up until that point. Staying open late mags drawbacks that employees should already be aware of prior to accepting the position. Thirdly, if an issue arises between the customer and an employee, the employee should NOT become argumentative, defensive or rude nor escalate the issue further. Employees should be trained on customer service, not over speaking or cutting off employees, correct price quoting, de-escalation procedures, emotional intelligence, courtesy and efficiency. Lastly, customer should not be permitted to leave the store prior to closing while customers and food delivery people are awaiting in the lobby orders just to satisfy their personal shopping needs at a nearby store (7-11)or restaurant. $53 for 2 pizzas and they arrived not only cold but old and almost stale. We ordered a pan pizza and this is clearly not a pan or extra cheese which we were charged for. The driver was nice and apologized, you could tell she knew our food was going to be garbage. We had to put it in the oven to eat it, it's not worth the price. All the sauce was absorbed into the crust (from obviously sitting out and being old). Where is the raised thick crust and burnt edges/cheese covered edges for the pan pizza? It's just not there. The pizzas tasted incredibly stale, I've had $3 frozen pizzas that taste better. I understand this just opened but where is the quality control? Super let down. We chose Pizza Hut for tonight as a treat because it represents throw back culture and we are celebrating the 90s with the release of our film streaming and this tastes like it's been sitting under the hot lamp since the 90s. There was an employee who was sitting with her family , and working. She allowed her child around (6years old) to go in the work station. I watched this employee eat , not wash her hands, prepare food, and continued to do it, not 1, but 2 times. I eventually had to ask the cashier ( who was very nice and helpful) was the woman, the owner? She said no, I told her the child should not be back in the work area. The cashier went to the other employee, and told her I had concerns. The employee approached me, and I told her, her child needs to come from the back and have a seat. Now, this employee's husband & son were sitting at a table. The husband got mad, said something in Spanish, and they all walked through the kitchen, and went out the back door. The child could have been harmed by the hot oven. Children and non employees should not be in the work station. read more

Placed order through Pizza app and selected to have the pizza delivered. After waiting for an hour I called the store and was told that the order showed carry out. The response I got was "I don't have any control over the app. I can change your order to delivery, but will have to cancel out your payment and get a new payment." The delivery was going to be the 2x pizza that have been sitting there for over an hour. There was no way I was going to accept cold pizza after paying $53. When I ask for the order to be cancel and provide me with either an email or confirmation# that order was canceled, the response I got was " your refund will be credit back to your account in 3-5 days. Meaning I was to wait to see if the refunds are refunded to my account before knowing if the order was actually canceled. I was excited to have Pizza Hut back in the Dumfries area, but after this experience I get the feeling their customer is the same as the previous Pizza Hut. So it's a hard pass on me ordering from this restaurant again. read more
