Like many Iowa and Nebraska wineries, this one struggles a bit with dry reds, but there were a couple good ones that I was steered towards. They also offer several flavors of cider now. They do offer a few select beers from local breweries, but I insist you try and enjoy their Iowa wines. Food-wise on any given day, they offer a cheese tray for $7.99. Music and pizza night was the big draw. Once in a while they fire up the oven and offer live music 6:30-9pm, which is why I came with friends tonight. From 6-9pm they served personal-size wood fired flatbread pizzas ($5 each). Three pizza flavors were on the menu: cheese, pepperoni, and chicken and cilantro. I ordered the latter and was pleasantly surprised; it was a buttery-good crust topped with a lime cilantro sauce, chunks of chicken, and cheese. My only complaints as far as cuisine was concerned: the pizza could have been warmer and crispier. But we came here for the wine and music, and both did not disappoint. Wine by the glass was incredibly affordable, with prices ranging from $2.75 to $4. The music was pleasant, though I wouldn't recommend coming if you have a hard time with noise (or love to talk). The ambiance was pleasing; I enjoyed the openness of the space. They do have a patio dining area on the north end of the building. Despite the fact our pizzas were delivered in intervals, the service was top notch. If you're from Omaha or Council Bluffs, I most certainly recommend taking the Loess Hills Scenic Byway to Glenwood for this monthly event. Come hungry and with friends. Please note they do not take reservations.

My response (for what it's worth) is that was time well spent. My husband and I ordered a Rustica and a pepperoni pizza. GUYS! The Pepperoni on the pizza is unlike any pepperoni I've ever had as well! We also ordered the Kale Caesar salad with REAL anchovy dressing. My chef husband said his impressions was centered around how good the diary products were. It's obvious they are gourmet. Another areas where I was happy was how the seasoning was on point! I can always tell a good chef is at the helm when I take my first bite and am greeted with FULL FLAVOR (which means they use salt!). Such good seasoning choices here. Needless to say I was so impressed. It's very much worth your effort and time to eat here. The service was very good, knowledgeable and kind. Chef Tim was out on the floor which was cool to see. He's got a great vibe to him. Caring (which does a long way in the services arena) and very knowledgeable. He's easy going and even tho' the place was crazy busy he was obviously in his element....relaxed. Cleaning tables. Interacting with guests. I love to see that. Makes the place feel cared for....and by proxy the guests. The wait staff were good at their jobs too. Working in the crazy with ease. A very well run place. Again, it's worth your time to go. Thankfully we don't live a long distance away from Dolomiti so we can order stuff to go. And on that note, It should be noted that the pizza was just as good (literally nothing was lost) the next morning when we ate the left overs for breakfast.

My go-to is the Rustica pizza, the hot honey on it has an amazing flavor. My friend ordered a standard pepper and was impressed with the flavor and quality. We also shared some of the best meatballs as an appetizer (it comes with bread for my bread lovers out there) Indoor and outdoor seating both provide a lovely dining experience! I'll be back soon!

Over time service dropped off (the staff is very young) and the food quality deteriorated. Over several visits we were served undercooked pizza, burned pizza, cold wagyu meatballs, and a glass of wine that had been wiped out with the rag they used to clean the counters so it reeked of (and tasted like) ammonia. Tonight we went in to give it another try. We were seated at the bar, one seat away from the manager who was evidently working on schedules or something similar. We browsed the menu, drinks list, chatted among ourselves, watched an employee try to figure out how to pull a draft beer from the tap, watched the couple beside us get their dinner, watched the manager share inside jokes or memes with one of the wait staff, and waited, and waited... over the span of approximately 10 minutes, as wait staff stood in the corner chatting, we were NEVER greeted, offered water, asked if we were ready to order... nothing. The manager who was literally one seat away from us at the bar was oblivious. We finally had enough waiting and decided to go elsewhere. I politely tapped the manager on the shoulder and explained to him that we were leaving, and told him why. He was shocked. Totally clueless.‍

The pizza has a great traditional style with a flavorful sauce, plenty of cheese, and a crust that has a nice balance of crispness and chew. I noticed as I kept going he would be increasingly irritated. One day he finally told me to call ahead for deli orders. I called ahead and he quoted 3 hours for 1.5 lbs of meat. I wandered around then after 2 hours I thought this is ridiculous and called to cancel my order. Not long after I got about 10 missed called from the store...it was scary to be honest. I didn't even want to listen to the messages. I avoided going there for months but my son loves the fresh bread and meat so I went back. I didn't call because I didn't want to wait 3 hours. I'm sure he recognized me because another customer came in to order deli meat and he loudly said "IT'LL BE AWHILE BECAUSE THAT CUSTOMER DIDN'T CALL IN EITHER". I don't understand why he makes paying customers feel uncomfortable for ordering deli when there's literally a deli counter there. If you don't like it make prepackaged items to go, or get more staff. But don't take it out on the customer for doing something every other deli will do normally. I'm bummed to say I won't be coming here again. There's another deli out west called Casanovas where the owner is much nicer and doesn't mind slicing deli meat to order. It's worth the trip.
