We've done takeout from Adrian's a few times and we ate in the restaurant for the first time yesterday. The pizza is pretty on point. The crust is good for wood fire pizza. My ideal pizza crust is Mellow Mushroom's crust. If that's a 5, Adrianos is a 3.5. Toppings are good. They do have fresh basil, which some do not. For drinks, they have 3 fridges with bottled or canned drinks. Coke and teas. 3 beers - Bud, Bud Light, Guinness. Ambiance is pretty basic, suggesting carry out is their focus. There were a bevy of Christmasndecorstions and messages in April....either really late or really early for the greatest event in the history of the universe. Service was good. The staff seems disinterested and aloof, but they were diligent in helping our friend who was celiac. They do have gluten free pizza. Overall, this is better than driving into Omaha for 4 star pizza (all Omaha has to offer). Support your loca SW Iowa business and pick up a pizza from Adrianos. They are worth it. read more

We gave Adriano's Brick Oven a try last night and was somewhat disappointed. First off, the young girl working there was extremely unfriendly. She would not make eye contact with any of us when we tried to speak to her, and didn't seem like she had any interest in customers, but only talking to the young man that was working with her there. I went out of my way to try to get her to engage in friendly conversation, but she wasn't having it. The young man working there was much friendlier and seemed like he enjoyed making pizza's and interacting with customers. The pizza was OK, but I honestly like Casey's better. The brick oven crust was really good, but the toppings left a little to be desired. The floors were dirty along the edges and the ambiance is I guess what you expect at a pizza place. The service is amazing and the food service s actually pretty good. Because I was at a party I was able to taste around. I had the fried ravioli which was awesome, I had a slice of pizza which was very good. The tomato sauce was on point and the crust was flavorful and reminded me of a NY style pizza. They have a working relationship with Panera bar (sp). It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Don't sleep on this bar and restaurant. read more

I tried the Hawaiian assuming it would have the traditional toppings typically seen on a Hawaiian pizza, but the menu did not have a description. The raspberry drizzle was a very unpleasant surprise when the pizza came out. We also tried the chicken bacon ranch pizza and ravioli. Both were ok - everything felt like it could have been cooked longer. They were busy with to go orders when we were there around dinner time and they were providing delivery to the businesses nearby. Not Being from Glenwood we decided to try this based on other reviews. We ordered a 16" beef and onion pizza. We wished they had fresh garlic! They do offer garlic cheese bread, however, we came during the flood and water shortage so they were conserving dishes. When they first brought it out I thought it was going to be a sloppy mess but I was pleasantly surprised. I would suggest they offer fresh garlic and , possibly, a couple of pasta options. Very solid pizza joint and I really liked everything about my pizza. The crust was wood fired and extremely flavorful. Adrianos does not cook it like other wood fire places that I've had in the past, where they will sometimes char the crust. The crust I ate had a oven cook to it but still a decent Smoky flavor. Overall, the toppings were also great and the sauce/cheese ratio was balanced. This reminded me a lot of a NYC slice- not too heavy on everything and just the right ratio. A little more expensive than other pizza joints but that's justified. I would certainly come back. read more

Definitely my family's favorite pizza place! The Chicken Bacon Ranch is hands down my kids' favorite. I prefer The Hawaiian with jalapenos added, but everything we've ordered from the Ravioli and Meatball appetizers to their variety of pizzas have been great. Have ordered three times, thinking maybe I had to many toppings on first orders that's why crust was soggy (ate in restaurant each time, so didn't become soggy due to transport), each time the crust has been soggy. I would suggest cooking dough for a few minutes first then add toppings and cook more. Flavors of pizza and customer service was good. read more

I really wanted to love your restaurant. Our pizza had great flavor but the crust was soggy, They forgot the basil and the meat balls were cold. The three teens running the place were more into socializing then focusing on food. We also ordered a Greek salad that was pulled from the glass cooler and ingredients added and handed to us in a plastic container to eat in house. We asked for plates. Made a little road trip from Nebraska to Glenwood, IA to try Adriano's for something different....SO GLAD WE DID. It was fantastic...the building and decor inside is beautiful. It's a small pizza place on the beautiful town square and the owner was very friendly giving it the great small town feel. However the highlight was the food. We had a mix of cheese and sausage toasted Raviolis as an appetizer and we each tried our own pizzas. Amazing. The crust was to die for with a perfect char from the oven and the sauce was great as well - not too sweet and not too much of it. This place is a popular locals spot, and for good reason. Real brick oven pizza, fresh toppings, and wonderful sauce. The pies are a little smaller than the commercial pizza joints, and the price is a little higher, but the quality and taste is worth it. Man o'man were we excited when this place opened. My wife and I ate here about 3 weeks after they opened the doors to the public. The atmosphere is very cool. They renovated a space in a very old building on the square in Glenwood, keeping much of the original trimmings and added some chic touches. While we were there, no music was playing so it seemed kind of empty despite there being a fair amount of people in there. The service was, well, good; however, all it would take is just a little more smiling and enthusiasm to be great. Now to the food, the pizza was REALLY good. Having cooked it in a wood fired brick oven it had just the right hints of smokiness. The thin crust was maybe a touch overdone but still very good. My one and only complaint about the pizza was it needed a touch more sauce as it seemed a little dry. My advise? Escape the urban mess and come and enjoy this cool little pizza place situated in the heart of Glenwood. If they fix the few little things I mentioned earlier this will change to a 5 star rating for sure! We ourselves are overdue for another visit!!! Success! Visit two was a home run! We were at the local brewery and after several tastings we noticed a sign saying this pizza place delivers to the brewery. We called a little past 9 and the lady that answered said they were closing but would make it while closing and deliver it on her way home. I tried saying that was ok and didn't want to slow her down but she insisted and recorded her favorite - the trifecta, three meats. I don't eat pork so we got a half Trileptal and the other half my favorite, mushrooms, pineapple and jalapeños. All ingredients were fresh and the crust was great.
