The sautéed veggies were also an amazing side and has complimented the combo tremendously. I didn't need to use steak sauce at all to cherish the red meat. A small slice at a time plus a little veggie forkful was all it took to have this 5-star taste experience. Add tasty grilled shrimp to palate next. The ambience was great although I think I am starting to get too old for the volume of music at amazing joints like this. I should know better coz it's a sports bar. But I'm fine nonetheless. I heard that their signature Margherita pizza is the star of the show. I should have that next year when I come back to Gonzales. Kayleigh, my server, was top notch. Incredible experience being in downtown Gonzales TX for the first time. A rain storm took me here by destiny. God is good coz I was able to find a church downtown for 4pm worship, then after that while waiting for the rain storm to diminish, gave me the best excuse to have early dinner at this amazing historic restaurant -- I believe a well-deserved stopover after a tiring but fruitful time teaching Redemption at my 8th Royal Rangers PowWow in Halletsville. We decided to check out Loop & Lil's in downtown Lockhart. It was a Monday afternoon and it was pretty quiet inside. There were a bunch of people at the bar, with tons of open seating in the dining area. We ordered a beer and a cocktail. My gin cocktail was so refreshing and delicious! We ordered a small Greek salad and the Out of Towner pizza with no meat, sub mushrooms. Salad was great, everything tasted fresh and their croutons were so good and herby! As for the pizza, amazing! 10/10. It was so good I forgot to take a picture haha. The dough was light and fluffy, it had great leoparding on the bottom. They pesto was good and all of it together was wonderful! I also enjoyed their ranch too, had a dill flavor to it. Service was alright, but their food is the real superstar! Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for quality food!

However, I was actually angry when I ordered FOCACCIA and received a French roll cut down the middle and covered in more rubbery cheese. I suppose whoever made the menu has just never had focaccia anywhere else and assumed it means cheesy bread in Italian. Not to mention my server tried to charge me twice for it. They also have a solid selection of alcohol and seasonal drinks, which pairs well with the pizza. For the kids, we grabbed a cookie, and it was very delicious -- definitely recommend it as a sweet treat after your meal. Good, but not great. -I enjoyed their Maine Root fountain soda. I got the "Dr. Pepper" flavor and it was sweet, but didn't have a very strong cherry flavor. -The price point was really good. Cost less than $20 for a 16" pizza, $25 out the door with drinks and tip : ) Recommended.

My dining partner ordered a custom pizza of pepperoni and a variety of peppers. Loved how the peppers were chopped finely to spread out the flavor. As a nice surprise bonus, the owner brought us both a small boba drink to sample. It was my first time trying a boba drink. We really appreciated getting to experience it. Everything was favorful, and cooked just right. I loved being able to try different pastas and sauces in one meal. The portions were generous, and I definitely left full and happy. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in, and the atmosphere had that comfortable, authentic Italian feel that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal rather than rush through it. As someone just passing through town, this was one of those places I'd happily make a return trip for.
