While waiting for our food, we spoke with another customer who had already been there before us. Their order number was 209, and mine was 212. Somehow, I got my food first, even though I had more people in my group. It made no sense. It seemed like they had completely forgotten order 209 or gave it to the wrong person. While we waited, employees in the back started arguing with each other. I walked up to the counter again to see if that might be the reason things were moving so slowly. That's when I noticed how bad the kitchen looked. There was trash and food all over the floor behind the counter. I do not recommend this McDonald's to anyone. McDonald's should seriously send someone to inspect this location. The management clearly isn't in control, and the entire place needs attention before it gets worse.

I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

I will say all the burgers are ginormous which is what I quickly realized after I ordered the double liberty burger. It came with two beef patties, double cheese, bacon, and ham slice on a bun. It was a good old hamburger and other than big just a normal burger. I do love how all the menu items are very patriotic themed. I will say I will be going back, but will dine in next time to see if that makes a difference.
