Order was supposed to be delivered at 8:04 it was placed at 7:17 and I requested express delivery as we traveled from early morning and we were starving . Well here it is 9:23 pm and we still do not have our order. To add salt to the wound I requested some crushed pepper and some Parmesan for the pizza and was told " there will be a charge!" The audacity! Now 9:26 , NO ORDER yet ! At 9 pm After waiting so long I was told they only made one of the two pizzas but they would rush the second pizza , I waited and waited the order finally got here at 9:35 so an hr and a half late. They had the nerve to send the first made pizza which was cold and a little dried out, along with the freshly made hot pizza. Once realizing they had to make another because I ordered 2 they should have remade them both fresh. This place was great. We didn't eat in because they didn't have any beer. We were greeted as soon as we walked in with smiles. It still has that 70's / 80's vibe. We've ordered from this Pizza Hut several times and it's usually been good, but today was outstanding! We had a house full of teenage boys hanging out with our kids, so we ordered four pizzas. This place is awful! The 2 women working up front have no idea what's going on. One acted as if she couldn't even read the tickets. I swear all the fast food workers in Santee are kin to each other. Saw the other reviews and decided to give this place a shot anyway since there aren't many wings and pizza options in the immediate area. Pleasantly surprised. Ordered the lemon pepper wings for the Wife and I and they were ready early and super hot! Cooked crispy on the outside juicy on the inside. After reading a lot of these other reviews I didn't know whether or not to feel lucky or that maybe the secret is to go during lunch on a weekday. i almost died going in. when i walked in it was really dark and only one other person in there. i went to the counter and a really rude lady gave me a menu and told me to order when i was ready. so i went to sit down while i looked, but i couldn't believe my eyes. all the tables were dirty and disgusting. Half the lights weren't working. All the light fixtures were different from each other, some looked like they were from 1978. when i looked up i saw liquid dripping from the ceiling and there was mold everywhere in the ceiling. so i ran out of there. i think if i stayed i would have gotten lung cancer and died from food poisoning. if that was what it looked like on the outside what would the kitchen look like? i'm warning y'all it would be better just to eat food from the trash than eat here. read more

I think other reviewers might have have unreasonable expectations. Pizza Hut should not be compared to regular pizza places - it's its own category. If you want Mexican food, do you go to Taco Bell? No, you go to a Mexican restaurant. However, if you want Taco Bell, you know where to go. Same with Pizza Hut. So, as far as Pizza Huts go, this was right up there. The woman taking my order was VERY rude, she asked for my number, I have many numbers in this life, I had no idea that she was asking for my phone number and even if she was it has nothing to do with my ordering a pizza that I was going to pay for and take with me. I called for carry out. Large supreme, hand tossed crust no mushrooms. They repeated "large supreme ", I repeated, no mushrooms. They repeated, "no mushrooms ". I waited 10-15, went in, waited 10 more & picked up my hot supreme pizza. You guessed it, with a thin crust & mushrooms. It takes less time to remove the mushrooms then to reorder... Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen in ANY restaurant There were three people inside eating dinner. It was obvious they were all waiting for food and service for quite awhile We approached the girl working register at front desk....with the 6 inch finger nails ( can you say health hazards around food?????). We ordered two large pizzas and were told it's "a minimum of 35 minutes for wait time" This would be understandable at 5 pm or lunch time, but this was at 745 pm! On top of that there were at least six employees that we could see behind the wall where food is made...basically standing around and playing on their phones or chatting with each other Not one person from their staff greeted a single customer....other than to say " whatchoo wants"? We saw two customers come in and hear the 35 minute wait time and walked out. This Pizza Hut is amazing. The food is just booming with flavors. So many toppings to choose from and the wings are so good.

I've never said this before on Yelp, but if I could give this place zero stars I would. On a long drive, we needed to stop somewhere for food. This was the only place where I thought I could get something, being that I have food allergies and fast food is generally out of the question. I asked specific questions about what the different bread options were, and ordered based on the cashier's explanations. There was no indication of how long our food would take, but being that it's a chain Pizza Hut I expected somewhat fast turnaround. When our order was finally ready FORTY minutes later, I looked inside the box and my garlic bread was not at all how it was described: it was Texas toast. I can't eat Texas toast. I literally wanted plain crusty bread with garlic, and this was bathed in butter. This miscommunication in itself isn't the problem- it's the fact that when I expressed that we had a mixup, and I can't eat what was in front of me, the server rudely responded that we had to pay for it anyhow. I calmly and rationally protested; the server "checked with her manager" and came back saying we had to pay for it. This wasn't a whole meal, it was one small part of the order. And there was no option to change it out for something I could eat, and no time to try ordering something else even if I paid for it, because they said it would take another 30-40 minutes. For breadsticks. I would have walked out entirely but the others in my party needed their food with many hours on the road ahead. Without time or patience to argue further, we paid for food to go in the garbage, and continued on our way. The only somewhat positive thing I have to say about this place is that I feel it may not be just a reflection of one Pizza Hut, so much as the small roadside town that was the only decent stop for an hour plus in each direction, that has nothing but fast food (and apparently a golf course). Maybe this place impresses locals, as it was very busy, but in my opinion that doesn't say much [sorry/not sorry SC]. I always pack road snacks, but lesson learned: PACK MORE. read more

Got there then they tell me they are out of the gralic parm for the wings instead of calling me before i get there!! Then went to pay for the order they have no change for what i had!! Not impressed with service we received. Tried using their app to order online to utilize coupons and app wouldn't accept our hotel address. Spent 30 min fumbling with the dang app and growing frustrated after a day of driving I told my son to call the store and Order on the phone but the person in the phone wouldn't recognize the coupon but we explained the prob with the app. I took the phone and asked for the manager after losing 10 min with the other person. Explained to the manager all over again and by this time we were past the 10 pm cutoff for delivery and i told her we weren't told that by the other girl. Being exhausted I asked since we were across the street could they make an exception and just deliver and she said no bc her job was more important and she didn't want to lose it. Reluctantly we ordered and got dressed, and went to pick up our pizza. Stood there 15 Min while being ignored by manager while she counted money and chatted with employee. Awkward feeling when They turned many lights out at 10:45 while I'm standing there. If your open til 11 then look like you are. Good luck ordering there if u stop and stay at a hotel. Driving from Florida to Maryland stopped at a local hotel across the street from the Pizza Hut, due to Covid-19 not much choices to get something to eat. We ordered a supreme pizza, went over to pick it up. I hesitated to take the pizza... because I noticed all the staff in the back did not have any masks. nor rubber gloves on as they were preparing the food. Lunch at Pizza Hut was delicious! We strongly recommend dining in at Pizza Hut! Request Jasmine and she will do her best to not see your glass empty. Despite not having many people dining in, she did not get bored or distracted. I didn't see her with a cell phone once! We forgot to ask for a couple of things after her second time bringing us sauces and refills. She smiled and was very accommodating. The owner/manager was also very positive towards his staff and the customers. I assume he is an owner because of the pride he took while preparing our food! We have dined in various Pizza Hut establishments throughout the East and West coast. This is the cleanest where it counts with the best staff! Quality takes time so don't expect drive thru time. Heading from NC to FL and wanted some pizza. Stopped at Pizza Hut. There were 2 parties of 6 seated, one was leaving. When I told the hostess party of 6, she got really confused and asked another waitress for help. We were then told we would have to sit at 2 booths. Right beside me was a table for 4 and a table for 2 that could have been pushed together. Not to mention, the other party of 6 was paying and everyone had gotten up from their table. We left. They really deserve no star at all. The staff was about as friendly and cordial as a pine tree. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and fresh tomatoes. There might have been 8 pieces of pepperoni on it and MAYBE 1/2 of a Roma tomato with a tablespoon of super sweet tomato sauce. Nothing at all was good about it.
