We had a group of 8 tonite May 3 with reservations at 6:00. We were in the room just left of the entrance & our waitress was Sarah. We ordered food at 6:30 & it did not come to the table until 8:00!!! I understand if the kitchen was understaffed & clearly Sarah had a ton of tables, short staffed I assume. Myself & my husband frequent Pizza King but usually come during the week & sit in the bar with great service in there. However tonite we should have been compensated for something...it was a group of us siblings recognizing the 6th anniversary of our mothers passing. Food was good & they all were first timers there. Most ordered steaks however we had ordered a pizza so I'm sure their bills were over $100. I know ourselves tipped Sarah 20% as felt we could she was overwhelmed. I would have said something but the restaurant was swamped, so we left. We will be back however if we ever wait that long again we would probably leave. read more

Pizza King has the most amazing Filet Mignon in the CO Bluffs Omaha area. Their filets are between 8 and 9 oz and cooked to perfection. We asked for ours to be bacon wrapped and they happily accompanied us. The steak was served with a large dinner salad and mostaccholi. Of course if you want pizza they have the real thing including a double pie crust. The menu also includes a large number of other items including Greek Gyros and why not. The place is owned by a Greek family. If you want fabulous prime rib, it is only served on Friday and Saturday. We have been eating here for decades. Same great food served by fine people. read more

This is the BEST pizza in Council Bluffs bar none! In the carry out area you can watch them do their magic creating their famous pizzas. They also have a full sit down area with a bar serving everything from burgers to chicken to steak. All of their food is amazing. Haven't had a bad meal yet. My wife, me, and her family went to Pizza King a couple weeks ago for Mother's Day and it was a disaster. I'll start with that time our reservation was for, 6pm. We all got seated at 6pm and the waiter took our drink orders and gave them to us about 5 minutes later. At 6:30, he finally came back to the table to take our order. Our order didn't come until an hour after that, at 7:30. Completely ridiculous. I understand that it was busy but still. And one of the orders was wrong so he took it back and didn't give the correct order until 30 minutes after that. The person with that order didn't eat until 8pm! I got the chicken salad, which was pretty good. Their house italian dressing was good too. My wife got the gyro and she enjoyed it. The food was okay, but I still can't get over the wait times. A great place. We were welcomed by the host in such a friendly way and it is so much more than pizza. We had nice cocktails and salads and a very good pizza. If we had been hungrier we would have ordered one of the very nice entrees. The waitress provided excellent service and the dining room was very comfortable with nice ambiance. We would definitely return here. Ample parking and wheelchair friendly. Although I am a lifelong resident of Omaha this was my first visit to visit to Pizza King. I had the pleasure of trying the Shrimp Pizza and The Greek Cowgirl Pizza. Both were delicious. The Greek Cowgirl was so heavenly! This pizza had a nice thin crust, thin slices of Gyro meat, red onions, tomatoes, feta cheese, and pepperocini pepper that gave the pizza a nice kick, which brought all of the flavors together. The Shrimp Pizza was light and delicious with a thin crust, beautifully cooked Shrimp in a tomato sauce with mozzarella cheese. I also like the way it was cut since I am a big fan of the crunchy end slices. Our waitress, Darcy, gave us excellent service and was so knowledgeable about the food that she brought the menu to life. She turned a meal at Pizza King into a dining experience. read more

Great! I ate there recently a few days ago (March 4th) and it was a good experience. Food was fairly tasty (admittedly can't think of ways to go more in detail, unfortunately). I travel all the time and I'd say pizza king pizza is nothing like I've ever had it's the best of everything. I'm from the east coast and am a pizza snob. This is one of only two metro pizza places that scratches my itch for that east coast pie. The grid cut confuses me, but you can ask for pie cut. They clearly use high quality ingredients, and create a fantastic final product. My wife is a huge fan of the salmon, as well as the margarita pizza. The food is always always always great. Pizza King sells pizza with heaps of cream cheese on it. If you're like me and enjoy New York-style or authentic Neopolitan pizzas, that is probably all you need to know. I ordered a pie which included cream cheese out of sheer curiosity and a desire to be open to new experiences. Turns out, nope, it's every bit as gross as you'd expect, and the pizza would have been disappointing even without it. Bland, chewy, flavorless goop. If you're not at all picky about your pizza and come here with kids who will eat any kind of pizza, this might be okay for you, as long as you avoid the stranger toppings. My wife and I ate supper here about 5:00 the day after Thanksgiving. It was our celebration as we both worked the day before. This was our second visit. We were seated quickly by a friendly hostess. The menu selection is huge and it all looks good. Our server answered several questions before we ordered. We both thought I ordered the onion rings as an appetizer. Never got them. I ordered the veal parmesan with a side of spaghetti and a baked potato. I also order the Gumbo soup. Gumbo is usually spicy. This was NOT. I also did not get a spoon with my soup, I had to ask for one. My veal parmesan came in a metal baking thingy. It was good sized and covered in melted cheese. I dumped my smallish portion of spaghetti and sauce over the top. The veal tasted odd, not spoiled odd, more like re-warmed odd. It was not fork ender like I usually expect veal. My baked potato was whole and covered in foil. It was nice and hot. The Orsi's Bakery bread was very good but the butter was cold and hard. I was disappointed with my meal. My wife had a steak sandwich. It was served open face on a slice of bread, She was disappointed it was not a sandwich. The meat had nice color on one side, the other was gray like boiled meat. It was covered in a seasoning. It WAS cooked a perfect medium rare. It lacked flavor. She had a salad which was very simple. Not anything special. She had requested a baked potato but received fries! They DID leave the fries and quickly brought her a baked potato. I tried the fries, No flavor and cold. I left most of them. I was almost done eating before I was offered a refill of my pop. My wife did NOT get her water refilled. I gave her my glass. Our server was friendly and the place was decorated very nice. We loved the flowers on the table. IF we return, I'll stick to the pizza I had on my first visit. My wife and I WISH we had the special dinner we were hoping for. read more

I was excited to try this place because I heard that it is a staple in CB. It is a very traditional dining room an old school menu. The prices are also reasonable. I ordered the fish almandine, which was the highlight of my dinner. It was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. He rest of the meal was carb heavy (potato and pasta).
