*BEWARE* - Called this place on our way to Daytona for take-out and the guy on the phone let out an audible sigh "Do you even know where we are?"...yes dude, we Google'd your number. He rudely said he could "only do takeout if we pay with a card over the phone right away" which we can understand. Picked it up within 30 minutes (so it was "fresh") and right away we time traveled back to my middle school cafeteria. Disgusting sauce, flavorless crust, and felt as if it was microwaved - I would rather eat good pizza covered in sand than this garbage. The only reason this place is in business is because of it's location - endless foot traffic from new, unsuspecting customers. If they relied on their pizza they would have gone under decades ago. We paid $25 for a large cheese and a steak sub - so it wasn't necessarily cheap. That being said, it tasted like my right big toe which I could have sucked on for free. Go to literally any other pizza spot (a little Caesar's pizza made at 10am would have been more edible). Best of luck! read more

My family and I have been visiting Daytona beach for over a decade now; on spring breaks and during summers and we always make a point to go here. The pizza can be by the slice or a whole pie and it's always delicious, we never need to order anything else since the whole family enjoys it. Also the staff is friendly and the owner is very cool. Four stars not five because the tables are never A rating clean, but hey it's a classic boardwalk pizza joint and it adds to the character. Still need something to strive for though. Sometimes it offers no respite from the hot hot Florida sun but they aren't stingy on refills or ice so it has never been a huge problem. read more

Wow! What wonderful pizza. After a long walk on the beach we stopped in for a snack. We got two slices of cheese pizza and a drink. It was delicious. The sauce was great and we ate every bite. It is conveniently located on the board walk and was easy to get to from the beach! We will be back again and again! We stopped in here while on vacation for lunch with our four kids & chose to sit inside due to the heat. We went with a meatlover's pizza, a shrimp basket & clam basket. This is a ton of food! We were a little worried, as our kids have big appetites! We had food left over. The pizza came out hot, way thick & with an amazing amount of toppings. The pizza was amazing, delicious, and remarkable. This is my #1 pizza spot in Daytona Beach. I especially like that Pizza King is family owned and has been opened for decades now. Reminded me of home in New York when I took my first bite of pizza. Hospitality was great, I was greeted and given my pizza within seconds after paying. I asked for a Corona and was given a lime with it, which made it a plus too! Keep up the great work! I have always enjoyed Pizza King while visiting Daytona Beach however While using my debit card for 2 beers at $5.00 a each I was charged $86.07!!! The older gentleman was super nice however the jerk (other employee yellow or blonde hair middle age male) was laughing at him instead of helping..I would have not been charged had he just assisted a senior citizen that truly needed a little of assistance with this purchase..Oh but yet it gets better. Blonde guy insisted that I sign a receipt that had no amount.. I declined instead he wrote a generic receipt..I walked away and checked my personal checking account that I had used for this purchase Transactions were $86.07, $10.63,$10.63 OMG all for just 2 Miller Lite Beers!!!! Walked back to Pizza King Blondie still laughing and I asked to speak with the Manager A very nice man, he asked me could I prove transactions and of Course I had access with Phone and showed him the numerous transactions..Blondie stated the older gentleman had been using the Password instead of the amount for the transactions.
