Another sad tale of a once excellent restaurant gone bad. You don't get value or quality for your money. Orders are often not as ordered either on the app, online or phoned in. We've had each turn out to be missing items, wrong toppings, or missing toppings. Even main ones, like the chicken on a chicken pizza! Always check your order! Especially. before you drive 30min home. Salads are lackluster, Greek is basically the same as side salad with black olives dumped on it with a dusting of feta. And don't order the Gyro. Disgusting really. They should take it off the menu. If you stick to the pizza king special, you will probably be alright. Otherwise, disappointing these days. read more

Which made it very difficult to order because when it was my time, someone would call and the front lady would take their order instead. I ended up ordering a cheese pizza and a meat lovers. Gluten free pizza is very good, made with rice flour, crispy crust, good sauce; regular pizza was also very good, fresh dough, good taste and large; pizzas are buy one get one so we got two large pizzas for a little over 20 bucks! Elody was very helpful with determining gluten free options. Counter service was very good. In 20 years of living in Ellijay and trying this place from time to time, they've never gotten our order correct one time! It defies the laws of mathematics, how wrong they always get EVERYthing. At this point, the only reason to go is to place bets on HOW WRONG the order will be, and pay off the winner with our inevitable refunds. Order a pizza, you might get a calzone. Order a turkey sandwich, they'll hand you a meatball sub. Order no meat, you'll get a pile of meat. Order no onions, and even tell them three or four times "PLEASE no onions!" - you're now guaranteed to get a plate full of onions. More onions than any other ingredient. Not one single order filled correctly in 20 years. The food they try to give you isn't terrible - it just doesn't at all resemble what you wanted or what you ordered. 20 years now. It can't be the wait staff, they write it down correctly - whoever runs the place and mans the kitchen is incapable of reading and filling an order correctly. It can't be done at Pizza King. It'll never happen. But you can have fun making bets about just how bad they're gonna screw everything up!! read more

I have been eatting here for almost two decades, always boasted it was the best pizza in town.....after the last two visits my opinion of Pizza King has changed for the worse. I always get the King pizza for take out because it was so loaded with toppings, unfortunately that has changed. The pizzas from the last time and tonight ended my love affair, now you only get half of the toppings, maybe half a mushroom if you took some from both pizzas. Saying I'm disappointed is an understatement as they were once a great place to eat, those days are gone. New tight owners? Not sure but something happened. While assisting our senior adults from church take a day trip to Ellijay Ga, we had lunch at Pizza King. The food was excellent at a very reasonable price and the staff was courteous and very friendly. The table area was clean and the staff set up for our large group of seniors. I would recommend the Pizza King for future excursions to the Ellijay area. read more

Absolutely terrible service, would not recommend them to a Hindu out having a good night of fasting. Their delivery service, is even much worse. Will tell you 45 minutes to an hour and when you call them back an hour and a half later, they tell you it may be 30 to 45 minutes more but their just estimates. And if you pay online with a credit card, they tell you it's 7 to 10 days to get a refund. read more

We noticed only two people in restaurant and figured service would be quick. However, the two continued to talk and one decided to get back to the kitchen. We were looking for Italian food on out first night living in this town. Charlie's was closed for vacation so we tried Pizza King. You order at the counter, which I don't care for. New girl behind the counter with the manager training her. Phone call came in girl answered and evidently couldn't handle it so the manager took over. Listening to the conversation she was just plain mean and rude yo the caller which didn't leave me in a good state. We ordered our food and my wife ordered a beer, Budweiser. I noticed a sign that Michelob Ultra was on special so she changed it to that. You grab your drinks from the cooler and my wife grabbed a Bud. We sat down and she opened it. I mentioned that she ordered the Mich. so my wife, never letting things lie went back to the manager and explained the issue. The manager proceeded to charge her an additional 75 cents. Being honest costs you at Pizza King. Good was ok but served on paper / styrofoam plates with plastic utensils.
