A local had chatted with my family and I on the street and said to call ahead because they run out of pizza boxes. So, I did, was put on hold, and they confirmed they had boxes. When I arrived, there were hundreds of boxes behind them. Not sure why I was put on a hold. On top of that, once we got our pizzas, they were cold and they forgot the pepperoni on one of them. Absolutely loved this pizza !! and the Rolls Fire we didnt dine in we picked up and we are so happy we got it !! nice hot cheese pie after the train ride.. Took longer than they told us but it was understandable since it was packed out thee all over. One thing my hubby noticed the pizza maker was constantly firing pizzas working hard and most importantly cleaning the oven all the time and to us Pizza Lovers it very important.. So happy to have fallen across this place after walking by so many other options (at various price points that we just could not afford at the time)! The cashier was beyond patient and sweet when taking our order. It's a casual and comfy pizza shop with plenty of tables inside and outside. Between my party of 6, we shared 2 large pizzas and salads. Half 4 veggie topping & Hawaiian, Half margarita & bbq chicken and Margaritas & garden salads. We were big fans of everything we got but especially the bbq chicken and veggie toppings. The crust was on the thinner side and slightly chewy. Being as hungry as we were, we still managed to have a bit of leftover salad and two slices of pizza to take home. We ate a early dinner here over the holiday weekend. It was the only food we had that day. We had the pizza with spinach and onion. We ended up with salmonella poisoning. Beware of eating here. A nice find! My family was downtown Blue ridge and came across this pizza place. The inside is an order at the counter style. There is plenty of seating and a few large tables for big parties. They give you a number to bring the pizza to your table. The pizzas were huge! We ordered two large and one small and had so much leftover to take back to the cabin to snack on later. We were busy shopping but our friends were drawn into Cucinella's by its aroma! They called us to announce they had found the place for lunch. Upon walking down the sidewalk, we too were caught in a trance by this luxurious warm bread, tomato, oregano, basil temptation!! We quickly decided to get an 18" Margherita Pizza, an 8 slice pie, for 4 people there were 2 slices a person. It couldn't get any easier! The crust was crunchy on the outside yet delicate on the inside. The sauce was tomato silk, the mozzarella and basil were fresh and there was a touch of garlic oil that pushed the flavors over the top! The atmosphere was upbeat and the staff was extremely friendly with a sense of humor! The location was in a nice newer area of town and easy to access with a parking deck behind the restaurant. It was OK. Pizza was average, service was good. We asked for the pizza to be well done which didn't happen. It was brought to the table for us so by the time we got our own drinks it was too late to have it put back in the oven. Not that I would have wanted it to be; the pizza I was given had a lot of oven ash on the bottom, nothing I couldn't scrape off but it did make it a little less appealing. Ambiance was good; welcoming with games for families, etc. I may try a different pizzeria next time we're in this area. read more

This is based on my review. Your experience may be better. We ordered an18 in cheese pizza with garlic knots. The pizza was cooked nicely and tasted good. It was above average. The knots were also good. We got 8 in the order. I like garlic and it was not over powering. We finished all of it. When we ordered the person checking us out said it would be 20 minutes and it took 30 minutes. Some of the staff were just standing around and talking. So I'm not sure what was the hold up. They were not too busy. I would order again in advance. read more

Great service! Came in on a Saturday and Cucinella's was really busy. Mark, the gentleman who provided an excellent customer service, informed us that our food would take about an hour. Not long after taking our seat, Mark found us and offered us a salad while we waited. When passing Mark later for the bathroom he stopped and asked if we had received our food, which we hadn't and he gave me a complimentary beverage... Marks' service and attitude was nothing but understanding, welcoming and helpful. When our food arrived we were also blessed with free garlic bread. The food is AMAZING and having formerly worked in a pizzeria, I would recommend Cucinella's to anyone on a trip to Blue Ridge should take an afternoon or evening and get some of this delectable food.
