The food tasted ok. It was all cold. We threw away all but 1 slice of the veggie pizza because I got food poisoning soon after a piece and spent the evening in the bathroom. The service has been an issue for years I'm guessing. We attempted an order last year and after being 2 hours late, our order was cancelled. This order that gave me food poisoning was ordered at 4pm for 6:30pm. After calling at 6:50, it came at 7:10...cold amlnd with too much bacteria apparently. The last 3-5 pizzas we got delivered from the Pizza King in Greenfield, Indiana were pretty substandard. Almost every piece on the outside was completely devoid of toppings or even sauce. Today 11-03-2025 I decided to order yet again, but while placing my order by phone, I finally said the quality had been very poor due to the stated reason. This time he said he was going to have the manager make it, and this time it was perfect, just as it use to always be. So this is just a reminder to all, sometimes you have to make a complaint in order to get what you're paying for. I have not been in here for a very long time, but I thought I would give it a try. I had take out order I called in. I gave him a time I would be there and I actually got there early and my food was just sitting there already fixed so I knew everything was gonna be cold. And of course it was. I get home. And my daughter's sandwich was totally messed up. It was supposed to be salami and ham, cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. What she got was salami and ham with red sauce!!!! Not even close!! I called and complain she told me to come back and get another sandwich. I said I don't live in Greenford and I'm not driving there again tonight because you guys messed up. So the manager says come in the next day and she would give me the sandwich for free and she will have my receipt on her desk to remind her. So the next day I go in and what a surprise she's not even there!! I had a feeling that was the way it was gonna go! So I explained my situation to the girl and she said she will give me the sandwich and she will make it herself. The girl running the register was very, very nice. And she said, would you like some breadsticks for your inconvenience? I said yes, so I end up getting another sandwich and free breadsticks. So this little girl tried to make it right. Why didn't did the manager not tell me she was going to not be there? To me that seems like she was hiding . She should've said I'm not gonna be there, but I will make sure they take care of you. She made it sound like she was gonna be there so I could talk to her in the next day. It would be a long long time if I ever go back in there again. Two people in the Greenfield store besides my wife and I and it took 45 minutes to get drink, breadsticks and pizza all delivered to the table at the same time. We had family visiting from Florida this weekend and they l always have to have pizza King when they visit. So following tradition, we treated them to pizza at the Greenfield location yesterday and they did not disappoint! The service was amazing and so was the food! Our server did an amazing job making sure our drinks stayed full and that the food all came out hot and fresh. The breadsticks were extra fluffy and soft and we ended up ordering a second round of them because they were extra delicious!!! I'm just so disappointed that I didn't take pictures! Dad asks me if I want pizza after we have finished our eleven hour journey from Hilton Head, SC to home. Dad do you want the royal feast? Yes. Now, of course, remember what I mentioned in the last review, my father goes to negative town for everything to counter my positive, it's keeping the balance in the universe. The pizza was good. My father thought it was cold. He ordered me to nuke mine in the microwave. I did not. He didn't do it to his either. He just complained about it. Then, he asked me if there as something wrong with me. My answer, I'm good Dad. I spoke to a gentleman named Bobby. He passed his negative energy at me speaking about his father who died a year ago, his father was his captain. I asked him what he did for work, he responded saying he hadn't worked for a year for that reason. I've been there. I ask him if he writes things to free his mind, his response, no. I say good. I ask him about his career. What do you want to do for work? You do that, then what? You're that, then what? Do you retire after that? HIs response was security to start. Then he asked me what I did and I told him I am a brand ambassador for Punch Bowl Social downtown. He says, "Bouncer?" I just stare at him with this cold dark stare. He begins running through his qualifications on me. Asks me to hire him. I'm not the boss. He says he wants to write his resume. I tell him, write your resume, then go to the internet and get the contact information for this place. He has a family, they would love the good bowling, karaoke, arcade, and bocci today. They open at 11am. I went at 11:16am on 5/8/19. The front door was locked. I was one of 2 vehicles of customers in the parking lot. I called to ask if they were open. An associate answered, said they were open but that she was "working on a $2,000 order" and that the customers in the lot including me would have to wait another 20 minutes before they would let us in to order. I absolutely love their pizza but the customer service at this location the last few times I have been here has been HORRIBLE it took 15 minutes for us to get our DRINKS I had to call them for us to get it , it also took forever to get our breadsticks and pizza and when it arrived there was onion on it! This is the best pizza in Greenfield. I know it's a chain but the crust is crisp and has a good yeasty flavor. They have never messed up good proportion after 30 or so pies. Bacon and pepperoni is chopped thereby giving good coverage. If you want normal pepperoni they have that too. You order through these quirky table phones. Can't believe this place is in business. We are traveling thru on the 70 and ordered a pizza and a salad with blue cheese dressing. When it arrived at our hotel room it came without forks, napkins, and the salad had bits of regular cheese on it with a container of mayo. Pizza wasn't bad but it wasn't good either! If you're delivering to a hotel it might be a good idea to think of the people that are going to eat the food.
