The restaurant is kind of different in that you only place and pick up orders at the bar. The bartender was REALLY nice. They have a huge patio that takes up about half of the restaurant. I wonder if they lose a lot of business when it's too cold to sit outside. They have a small bar with about 6 seats.

I had the Pasta al Fumo with Italian sausage, based on Laura's recommendation, and it was absolutely delicious. Laura was wonderful from beginning to end. She knows the menu, makes great recommendations, and knows exactly how to pair the right wine with your meal. The fresh bread was also amazing, and we finished the meal with dessert that was just as impressive as everything else. The portions were very good, and the cozy ambiance made the whole evening feel special. After dinner, we went to the back section of the restaurant, where they've expanded the building and now have space for private events. It's a beautiful addition and gives the restaurant even more character. If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience, great food, amazing wine, and a cozy atmosphere, give yourself a good treat and visit Cortona's. I read some other reviews and they are definitely mixed. One of my friends who had been before warned me after I was excited to initially try the cheese wheel pasta, to be careful. She said hers was wet and vodka flavored, so I didn't get it. Similar reviews said the same. I will say the calamari was some of the best I've had lately. Not chewy at all and a lovely light batter, served with tomato sauce. I did find it odd that the sauce was cold. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals so this gets the 3.5 stars.

On top of that I asked him to repeat the order twice because he left out one of the sauces the first time and the second time he forgot the order of fries.
