Friday night special was taco salad so we decided to get that and add a 10" cauliflower crust taco pizza for me and a 10" deep dish taco pizza for Richelle. Richelle order the garlic cheese bread too. Garlic cheese bead is wonderful with a side of meat sauce. The taco pizzas are a very nice version of a taco pizza, nothing fancy, good amount of taco meat and beans. Both crusts were perfect and the mozzarella is cooked to a golden brown, with good flavor. Richelle really likes the lightness of the deep dish crust with a good crunch and no greasy at all. The taco salad was OK, nothing special, imagine if the Ortega folks had a taco salad box mix. We can't wait to try a different pizza next time, because, the taco pizza was good, but I'm think the other specialty pizza will be better. Service is friend, and for us to walk in make a take out order and have two pizza in less then 15 minutes on a Friday night exceeds my expectations. I grew up in Lafayette Indiana so I have been eating Pizza King over 50 years. We have an Arni's in my town but it's way over priced with barely any toppings. So off to Greensburg we went to pick up one of their cowboy pizzas. MY GOSH IT WAS AMAZING!!!! The amount of toppings was mind-blowing and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I am bias - but I love Pizza King. Growing up, this was - and still is - awesome pizza. I hear the other items on the menu are good too, but I am a pizza but, so I stick to what I like. The restaurant in Greensburg is good for groups. They have a good number of large tables, different rooms where the group can be together, yet at different tables, and a meeting room you can reserve. They are also good for small groups with small tables and booths. There are daily specials - Thursday is $5.99 8" one topping. If you are in Indiana, find yourself a pizza king. If you order a sandwich and dine in, you get chips and a pickle. If you order the same sandwich and pick up your order, you don't get the chips and pickle. You pay the same amount!!!! Cashier was rude and asked a co-worker and he told her to just give me the chips and pickles. Got out to my truck and there were only sandwiches Mine was pretty dry and they were very stingy with cheese. I went back in, told the "rude" cashier that she didn't put chips and pickles in the bag as she was instructed by her co-worker. She went back and came out with a manager. She said it's been their policy since 1975 and that she doesn't know why they charge the same and don't include the chips and pickle for pick up orders. As noted, not the cheapest pizza in town but certainly one fo the better ones. NO one in the area can compete with the toppings on the Cowboy. When you have a 1/4" crust with 2" of toppings that is a ratio that is tough to beat. The facility is on the small side and a litte cramped so maybe not the best choice for dine in social distancing. THIS is one of the good pizza kings! If you e eaten pizza king in various locations throughout the state. You know what I mean. This one doesn't have the phones at the table, you walk in, order, pay, sit and wait. The only reason it doesn't get 4 stars is the breadsticks. Over the years I've become charmed by this Pizza King location. I used to not be a fan of the crumbly sausage and the mass of toppings on each pie. I love cheese on pizza and could never understand why you would pile on so many toppings without adding some cheese on top to anchor it all down. It makes for a messy pie, but I guess that's why we have forks. So, I am forced to eat here any time I am within Greensburg city limits. I am told it is part of the "Greensburg trifecta." In fact, even though I have had to miss my beloved A&W chicken, I don't believe we've ever missed a Pizza King stop. My hubs and his friends love this Pizza King location. In fact, despite the fact that there are (or have been) two other locations in Greensburg, I've only ever eaten here. I'm not sure of all the ins and outs of why this is their Pizza King of choice, but one of the Sam's friends even had his rehearsal dinner here. I've come to enjoy the Cowboy and what my hubs and his friends call "the Dirty Special*," but I think my favorite is still pepperoni. I love their cubed pepperonis! I don't get plain pepperoni too often, though as usually the boys are choosing the topping laden specialty pies. When ordering, there's always great discussion over how much ridiculousness is warranted for the particular meal. The last time we were there, we had two 10" pizzas for three people. Usually there is more of a crowd and the discussion turns to how well the group can manage The Cowboy and if we need one more pizza or two if we order it. I think it actually counts as a pizza and a half due to fact that it has so many toppings. The two 10" pies were definitely enough for the three of us. Pizza King had really grown on me over the years. Now, I actually look forward to my meals here, and I'm happy to say that I am a fan. *The Dirty Special is ham with extra cheese. It's called that because that's what their friend, nicknamed "Dirty," orders. I visited this Pizza King on a 'let's meet in the middle' lunch date with a friend who lives in Cincinnati. If you don't know, Pizza king is awesome. If you don't like Pizza King, you shouldn't be reading this review. The pizza is good. The toppings are yummo and this location has it down. There is really nothing not to like. The staff is very friendly and helpful and it is family friendly. Royal Feast is a great choice- pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, green pepper & sausage. As part of my Pizza King tradition, I got a Jr Chef Salad as well. Oddly, they also serve some 'mexican food'. I didn't try it because I don't eat Mexican food at places that have Pizza in the title. The food itself was very good, but I am not impressed with their ordering systems Called 3 times on a Sunday evening, with 5-10 minute gaps between calls, and could not get through. Attempted to use their online ordering instead. It was constantly timing out, then returned a blank screen after submitting the order and did not send a confirmation email. With no confirmation, and over a half hour invested in making this work, I believed it didn't go through and finally gave in and drove there to place a new order at the counter. I assume others had equal troubles because while I was waiting, I was treated to the bizarre sight of a walk in placing an order for delivery. Later I discovered I had been charged for the online order, which is fine, I've made mistakes ordering online before, but there was zero attempt to contact me via the phone or email I had to provide during ordering to ask if I was coming to get it, which is why I'm salty. Additionally, it would have been done by the time I physically went to the building, placed a new, exactly the same, order, under the exact same name, and waited for it to be made. Yet, I was not presented with two pizzas, and no one noticed the duplicate. From observation, they seem to flip flop between requiring an order number for pick up and requiring a name, which may have been a reasonable cause for no one noticing, but then we circle back to no one contacting me for not picking it up. Regardless, the online and phone ordering seems like a mess, so maybe skip online, call if you can, and walk in if you want to be sure. read more

The pizza here is great. The crust is thing, and the pizzas are fairly large. My favorite pizza is probably sausage and mushroom, because they use this really crumbly sausage and canned mushrooms -- definitely not the highest quality ingredients, but very yummy. My next favorite is one that I found out about after I moved away called the Cowboy. It's got like all the toppings and extra cheese and a few slices of this should fill you up. Oh, forgot to mention, they cut the round pizza into squares, so some of the best pieces (in my opinion) are the small triangle pieces along the edge, w/just a little bit of toppings and really crunchy crust. Since the pizzas are cut in to squares, the middle pieces are also coveted for the sheer mountain of toppings on them. You really can't go wrong w/pizza from here. On a side note, the tacos are some of my favorite restaurant tacos. We used to get them free when we were kids, maybe as a treat from school, or my barber. I don't really remember. Anyway, they are awesome. If you should find yourself on I-74 midway between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, you should definitely stop in Greensburg for some Pizza King. We end up going to pizza king everytime we are in town visiting family. The pizza is great and service is relatively fast. I prefer their pepperoni and mushroom the most. They do offer online ordering and daily specials for dine in or carry out. Checkout their VIP club for special discounts. They can also accommodate larger parties in their back room, just call ahead to see if it's available. Parking can be an issue when it's busy but you can normally find a spot somewhere. read more

Been to this place and other similar Pizza Kings for many years, but haven't tried it for at least ten years. So I grabbed Junior and hit the road to Greensburg, to see if the King still makes good pizza... and they do. The place hasn't changed much over the years and I was happy to find out that the pizza hasn't either. It is different than most pizza. Not sure if it is an acquired taste or if it is just GOOD, but I do know that it is one of my favorite pizzas. I would strongly recommend getting the plain cheese and (or) the sausage. That's all. No chicken, no pineapple, no fajita beef, no goat cheese, no ham, no cilantro, no white sauce, no pine nuts... I think you get the point. Good stuff. PS. Hands down my favorite pizza on the planet is the Royal Feast from Pizza King. Are the mushrooms from a can? Hell yes. Would that be acceptable to me anywhere else...probably not. I'm sure a huge part of the attraction is that this was my hometown/fancy pizza place growing up. That aside, it is a reallly tasty pie. If you haven't had it I've heard that some people find the sauce a little sweet. They PILE and I mean PILE the toppings on top. Everything is finely chopped...almost like sausage and pepperoni bits...which in writing might sound nasty but it's perfect. Each bite is perfect since you get a little bit of each topping. How many times when eating a pizza do you move over that little slice of pepperoni or sausage to "even it all out"...no need with the PK pizza. They've handled it. Another thing I love is that there isn't too much cheese. You can get it with extra cheese but I find the regular amount to be perfection as it. If you are in Greensburg I encourage you to try it out. I insist on having it almost every time I am there. Pizza King is a staple in Greensburg. They are known for "the best pizza in town." The thin crust is sturdy enough to hold the topping, which are just the right seasoning. And the cheese- it's so good! The pan pizza is super good too. Crust is a bit thin, but still sturdy. Nice thick pieces of pizza with toppings filled high. While I'm a big fan of several Pizza King restaurants in the northern part of Indiana (Muncie being the best), I'm not sold on their southern cousins. The "toss salad" is plain old iceberg, that was in such large chunks I could barely eat it and no knife was provided. The crust of my sausage and pepperoni pizza was definitely pre-fab and tasted like cardboard. The toppings were good, but there was barely any sauce.
