That's chopped! I'm thankful to have this mention of a cheesesteak as a reference to quality. Oh! My mistake, the "Shaved Rib Eye" is the reference I'm making. The bread on this sandwich tastes great. The Cooper cheese is also present to assist the main ingredient. The rib eye was cooked and sliced as if it was art. We stopped here halfway through a long drive for a quick dinner and were very happy with that decision! Both types of pizza were very good! The chicken Cesar wrap was also delicious. There was a good amount of chicken and the salad dressing was great! It tasted homemade. The garlic knots were just ok. The dough was good but they didn't taste like they had all that much real garlic on them. The only other downside was that parking around there was hard to find on a Friday night. Visited Pizza Lyfe for the first time, specifically the Milford location. It is right in Downtown Milford; the interior is well designed and has plenty of seating and also they sell pizza by the slice. Their menu is vast including main entrees, sandwiches, apps, dessert, and pizza of course; they also sell beer inside. You order at the counter and they bring to the table. We loved the pizza; the dough is delicious and the sauce is top tier. Cant wait to try more of their food items. We will be back! read more

Pizza was ready as promised. It was easy to order it online and pickup in store. We had a large truffled mushroom and a small cheese pizza. Both pizzas were okay at best. If they were somewhere out in the Midwest we might have viewed them more highly. However, compared to the competition this pizza is average at best. The pizza was very doughy and did not have enough toppings. Also, presentation was not best especially for the cheese pizza. See photos. I really love the text promos for storm/blizzard prep- my favorite is the half tray chicken cutlet with penne- chicken is thin and lightly fried. Their salads are delightful and everything is always packed really nicely! Also- it's the most handy local thing to have giant rainbow cookie cake slices available (and wine!). The pizza are well presented and tasteful and the venue is ideally located on the green. However, my driver to give a 5 stars today is for the crew that works here and more specifically to Jaime. I left a prized belonging to the restaurant by mistake and would have been really upset if it had disappeared. I got a large cheese for pick up. It was ready when promised. The crust was good, it didn't have a sourdough taste. The sauce lacked flavor. The pizza didn't really taste like anything but it's acceptable. Very tricky location to pick up a pizza so you'll definitely have to park and walk as the storefront is an intersection. Pizza Lyfe is finally open! I have the best fiancé and he brought me a slice of pepperoni and the spicy pizza lyfe. Both were great. Love they use the roni cups. A few days later we decide to do takeout. It was insane. My fiancé waited an hour for our food. He got his usual plain cheese, we got a garlic bread and I opted for the lemon chicken sandwich. The garlic bread was nothing to write home about but let me tell you about my lemon chicken sandwich. It was incredible despite not being really warm once we got it home. The flavors were on point. We will probably wait till the place settles down a bit but excited to have that lemon chicken sandwich again but this time in its full hot glory. read more

Pizza Lyfe is right in the heart of Milford, easy to find and where all the fun is. They has the most amazing staff who are polite and provide some amazing recommendations. Special shoutout to Jamie who helped us with recommending some absolute gems from the menu. We decided to get the mozzarella sticks which were not at all like any other place or the frozen ones being served. That was so true. I am so glad we got the mozzarella sticks. They were cheesy, fresh, thick and crunchy on the outside. Just the best when dunked in the marinara sauce. The garlic bread was also pleasantly different from the usual ones and was prepared on a sesame seed bread. That did make a huge difference the quality of the bread was awesome! I definitely recommend you guys to try the kale and quinoa salad which had chick peas for the protein, feta cheese to give a little savoury flavour and their special in - house Italian dressing. Absolutely amazing. We moved on the to entree section of our night with their special veggie pizza. This pizza is a dream come true for a vegetarian like me. It was loaded with some absolutely delicious vegetables like onions, peppers, mushroom, broccoli and more. The perfect charred edgesand evenly charred bottom. Everything about this pizza screams delicious. The pasta was a customeized preparation where we chose rigatoni, alfredo sauce with broccoli and mushrooms. It turned out to be an absolutely amazing choice. Totally recommend. My husband enjoyed the spicy chicken vodka sauce sandwich which was also prepared on a sesame seed bread. I didn't think we needed another pizza place in Milford but all the best spots don't deliver. I'm not big on uber eats but in a crunch we ordered pizza lyfe which exceeded expectations. I've heard similar positive reviews from friends. Still haven't gone inside but it's looks like a good place to stop anytime of day. Service was through the app but that worked as we hoped. Excellent and tasty pizza. Just a terrible location to pick up. Parking is not easy and not close. Both the Truffled Mushrooms Pizza and Calabrian Cheesesteak Pizza were very good. Both could have used some more flavor as the truffles and Calabrian chiles were somewhat muted but still very good. read more

We stopped here recently, when we were in town for a funeral. After a three hour drive, we were starving and the wife wanted pizza. So, we check out the slice pies and they looked good. We ordered slices and sodas. Out to our table coming some piping hot slices with a crispy not-burnt crust that far exceeded expectations. I personally enjoyed the sausage and pepper pizza very much. The wife loved the regular cheese pizza. Service was quick and gracious. It had the usual pizza shop ambiance, but pleasantly, had some great music playing (Coldplay from 2002). We highly recommend Pizza Lyfe to visitors and to the Milford locals. Wish we had one up here in Boston. read more

Yesterday evening, I tried some new pizza in downtown Milford. After passing by it a few days prior, me and my partner became interested in visiting ourselves. We placed our order online for a large cheese pizza. This came out to be about $20 plus some change. We placed online so we could take it down to the boating docks and tables right down the hill. First off, smell was amazing. As always, we were a bit skeptical after looking at the pie but after eating it, we fell in love. I usually always pair my pizza with a side of blue cheese, I was unsure if they had the option to get in a portion cup but next time I will try and ask. The crust of the pizza was delicious. I love sourdough crust pizza but not every place knows how to work with it well. It had a herby sauce, which is good. I just feel like the only thing that's missing is more cheese! Everyone is each to their own, but I just feel like this pizza would've been 5 star if it had another layer of cheese. Something felt like it was missing and the cheese is the component. I feel like this spot is a good pizza place to have for dinner for two rather than ordering multiple pies since they are $20 each. You must also get to the pizza quick, because it cools down fast. Not disappointed, just wanting more! Service was good, the gentleman at the service counter was attentive and got us our pizza quickly. Inside the restaurant is clean, just a bit tiny. Pizza Lyfe just recently opened on the beautiful green in Milford CT. I recently popped in to check the place out, because I heard it was usually packed, and being the kind of sleuth I am, and having an aversion to waiting in lines, especially when I'm hungry I wanted to see first hand what the deal was. There is seating for maybe around two dozen people. There was no one else in the restaurant when I picked up my meatball parm grinder and slice of cheese pizza on a late Sunday afternoon. The grinder was on a fresh 12" sesame seed Italian sub roll, one of my all-time favorites for a sandwich. It was very good, overstuffed with juicy meatballs, but could have definitely used more sauce. The slice was also good, although it's not fair to judge a pizza place by their slices, since they are cold and only warmed up when a customer orders one. I can't wait to go back and order a fresh pie! I do think Pizza Lyfe will do very well in the spot they're in, I can see lots of people just stopping in for a slice New York style, and the location is prime for a nice romantic stroll down to the docks afterwards. So I said I'd order a whole pizza next time, so tonight I ordered a large cheese pie, no toppings, so as to get a taste of the basic pie without other flavors complicating it's taste. I am happy to say the pie was quite good. It's not New Haven style, but more like a slice you'd get in NYC. If your o.k. with that, you will enjoy it.! read more
