Today for dinner I visited Woodmont Pizza in Milford, CT. Me and my partner called in to pick up even though we were dinning in. We ordered a large mozzarella pizza, 6PC garlic knots & mozzarella sticks. Firstly, the pizza was very good. Perfect sauce, perfect cheese, and not overly greasy at all. I always pair my pizza with blue cheese and it was the perfect restaurant blue cheese! Crust was good too; I used my dipping sauces to finish them off. Garlic knots were also very flavorful. Lots of fresh garlic and butter/oil. Seasoned well. Soft and has a nice pull. I sprinkled some Parmesan on them and it made them even better. Lastly, the mozzarella sticks were okay. Not the best, but not the worst... but it's all about personal preference. Service was good, women at the front was cheery on the phone and helpful in person. It was quiet tonight there but it made an even better dine in experience. The inside of Woodmont Pizza is pretty much what you expect walking into an OG pizza joint. Pretty clean, aside from some crumbs left over from the last customer but it was a back table. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. I will be back when I'm in the mood for some good pizza near me. Really nice people! This pizza place is located in a small plaza and seems to be family owned. Someone recommended it, so I stopped in to grab a quick salad to go... I tried the large Greek salad with feta. My order came up quickly; everything was very fresh and they were generous with the feta. It was big enough for two or for one greedy person! I admit I was a little nervous when I got home and saw the packages of Ken's Greek dressing, but it was all good. Tasty and not overpowering at all! Tonight we ordered a Chicken parm grinder and a BLT grinder. The chicken parm was chopped up chicken pieces instead of full pieces of chicken. The BLT grinder was made with bacon bites poured on the lettuce and tomato instead of stripes of bacon. I would never recommend this place. This was a terrible experience read more

I tried Woodmont for the first time on 6/27/2023.The pies we were served were fresh, hot and absolutely delicious! My Mom had a greek salad with grilled chicken.The salad was fresh,crisp.The chicken was tender,flavorful and grilled to perfection.I look forward to returning in the future.I would recommend Woodmont to anyone looking for world class pizza and fresh salad. Good New York Style pizza. Good crisp, little bit of flop but nice sturdy crunch to the crust. Classic, just really good tasting pizza with that perfect tangy sauce recipe, a good tasting classic cheese and a good tasting pizza crispy crust that's soft and chewy inside and baked to perfection. My family's favorite is the basic cheese pie. I like some toppings so I went with onion, mushroom and pineapple. That's always my goto with Woodmont. You can taste the love in each bite! Given the fact that you can get some of the best pizza in the world just 20 minutes away, it always puzzles me how any pizza place can stay in business by serving pizza that doesn't even come close to the high bar that's been set in this area. Obviously, every pizza place in NH county can't be "the best", but it certainly should at least try. There is no trying here at Woodmont pizza. Just your run-of-the-mill pie that can be found in any pizza place in the nation, but with two, glaring issues... First, the crust. Fresh out of the oven it is as tough as shoe leather. It's beyond frustrating having to pull, rip and tear a slice of pizza with your teeth just to get a bite off of it. It's impossible to enjoy any of the flavor when you have to gnaw on every bite of your food. You own a pizza place and can't even get the crust right? Ridiculous! Second, what is up with the acid reflux heartburn from this place?! There were four of us who ordered 3 different kinds of pies and we ALL have crazy heartburn! I might consider this an isolated incident, but I just read Ian Y's review from 8/15/2020 and they complained of burning stomach pain as well. Ordered 2 sandwiches for delivery. We were told 30 minutes for delivery. The girl taking the order struggled and didn't seem to know the menu. Sandwiches err not made as they were ordered. After 1 hour of no delivery we called and they said they could not find the house. Single family home on quiet street. We reiterated the address then finally 1.5 hours later the food arrived. It was soggy and cold. Terrible experience, and incompetence all the way around. Don't waste your money ordering from Woodmont Pizza. We live 1.5 miles from their location, no excuse. I have been to woodmont a bunch of times for its location to my house is reasonable and the food is decent. But you all must know this story of last weekend..... We called and ordered dinner for three, and not a complicated order, but they screwed it up which isn't the end of the world, but when I called back to tell them they shorted me one of my dinners, the response was well it's too late the fryer closed and the flat tops clean, and they refused to make the sub that I ordered when I called originally. And it happened to be for my son so what was I going to do not feed him? After some bantering back and forth they finally sent me over something that they could make without too much inconvenience to them! I ordered some simple items, A garden Salad, eggplant Parmesan, and French fries. Let's start with my fucking salad. It was a fucking dentists office up in that bitch. There was a LONG BROWN FINE THICK ASS PIECE OF HAIR IN IT!!!! I could've flossed my teeth after my feast with that long ass piece of fucking hair. I don't even wanna know how it got in there but it was not very pleasant I will let you know that. NOW, the eggplant Parmesan. It was FUCKING FREEZING. I am sorry , but something was not right w that fucking thing. I swear it was an alive fish or some bs. The thing tasted a lil fishy and odd. It's eggplant, not flounder from the little mermaid!!! I really think Woodmont Pizza is closer to 4 stars than 5 but I need to balance out the shitty reviews here. Their thin crust pizza is consistently on point, I've tried numerous toppings but I usually go with a large plain cheese because they're only $7.50 on Mondays and Tuesdays. For a takeout pizza place their wings are great, and their grilled chicken caesar salads are also nice. I've always been happy with whatever I've gotten from here (spaghetti w/ meatballs, vegetable wrap, etc.), and although I prefer Michael Anthony's pizza, if I'm getting something other than pizza or a meatball grinder I go with Woodmont. read more

I wanted to give them 4 stars but I just cant. I ordered pizza to go. I ordered online and it said 20 minutes. When I got there at 23 minutes the pizza was not ready but my wings were. I waited another 3 minutes before the pizza was ready. No big but when u got back to my home 3 minutes away I opened the wing box and they were mushy. They were hot but I assume by being hot and then put in a box they basically steamed so the coating was mushy. I ate 2 of the 8 and tossed them. The texture was so off putting. Pizza. So I ordered veggie pizza. It was so soggy in the center. I picked up one piece and the toppings slid off. That means they were less than generous with the cheese and sauce. I ate 2 pieces and just pitched it. It was just to soggy to wnjoy and had no real flavor. Before you say that oh you ordered it to go. Had this pizza based on a friend's recommendation and was disappointed. The crust was tough like cardboard. The cheese was okay for the first slice but did not have much flavor got tough after it cooled a bit. Usually a sign of a low quality cheese with low fat content. Very dissatisfying experience tonight. Do not use online ordering here as your pizza will sit on top of an oven for 25 minutes with no text/email that it is ready. The customer service was horrible when I called and a man even hung up on me when I explained my disappointment in the ordering process and how I didn't want to eat a cold pizza.
