I love pizza, I eat it a few times (and by few times, I mean almost every day for lunch) a week. I've tried about 85% of pizza joints in Burbank and Glendale this by far takes the prize for the WORST I've had. Man Oh Man where to start. The other night we ordered their buffalo chicken pizza. It was pretty much inedible. I put so much Hot sauce ( I put that S*** on everything). But this time this was to simply mask the horrid "flavor" of this pie. Let me describe this buffalo chicken pizza, all 3 of those words I use loosely. The chicken was blatantly canned chicken, like the the pulled apart in "water" chicken you get for 49 cents at wal mart. It was gross, there is no bleu cheese or ranch or anything to make up for no sauce. The "buffalo" sauce was pretty much a low grade Tabasco sauce, zero to little flavor. The crust was grossly chewy and just blah. I would NEVER, EVER no matter how drunk I may be order this pie again. Not to mention it was cold and both myself and my girlfriends stomachs were torn up by this "pizza". WORST PIZZA EVER NEVER EAT HERE!!!!!!! read more

WARNING! EMPLOYEES DO NOT WASH HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING THE FOOD WE ORDER! Walked in to order wings and fries. Had to wait 20 minutes, so I decided to take a seat inside the restaurant. One of the employees went out for delivery, as he walked back into the restaurant, without washing his hands or sanitizing, or wearing gloves, he stuck his hands into the cheese bowl and started sprinkling cheese on the pizza. Ewww! This man just touched door handles, money, maybe even picked his nose... he is now making pizza without sanitizing his hands? I waited until my food was ready before I said anything to the manager. As he handed me my order, I nicely explained what I witnessed one of his employees doing. The manager was very rude and apparently didn't think there was anything wrong with it!!! He looked at me with a grin on his face and said "it is not mandatory to sanitize." I almost puked in his face. I'm not even going to begin explaining about the hair on my chicken wings!!!!! Enough said, this place is disgusting! I have oredered Pizza Man a few times and the Pizza has a good taste to it but it needs to finished. It is not the type of pizza you can reheat and cook later. I have just moved to Glendale from New York and I've been looking for a pizza to take me back home. As hard as that might be I think I've found a new home. Pizza man takes me back to my childhood with their New York style thin Crust pizzas. 1 of the best pizza shops in LA. Its addicting I used to eat here 3 to 4 times a week. Not so much now as Im trying to get into shape for summer. The owner Artin is very nice and personable and so is the workers. I recommend the meatlovers pizza and chicken Alfredo. I bought a $10 gift certificate from Restaurant.com and decided to give this place a try. Came in and showed the guy at the front counter the certificate on my smartphone, at which time he said I needed it printed out (even though on the Restaurant.com website they boast the ability to just present the cert on your smartphone). He finally was able to make a phone call to the owner and/or manager and, reluctantly, he accepted it. The food was okay, although a bit greasy. So I decided to buy another gift certificate from Restaurant.com. When I finally made it back a few weeks later, a different rude man at the counter said that they were no longer running that promotion, and said he would not accept my gift certificate. I'm sorry, but I do believe California law says gift certificates are NOT allowed to expire with time, and must be honored at any time after purchase. He pushed back, and was extremely condescending and aggressive. Forget this place, the food is not that good. Go next door to Rico's Pizza or somewhere they actually care about customer service, and California law. read more

Ordered once & I will never do that mistake again I ordered a small pizza and when I got there, a blonde middle age lady gave me a large pizza . I told her that I ordered small not large and she is like sorry. Really?! that's it?! My family and I have been going to pizza man for the past ten years and they never disappoint! Besides the delicious pizza, they have a good selection of sides like mozzarella sticks, fries, hot wings (even though I don't eat meat), and what not. As a vegetarian, they have so many good veggie toppings that I really appreciate! The people that work there are very patient and welcoming and give Pizza Man a very "with love" feel. I have ordered from here multiple times. The wings are always great. The BIG PROBLEM with Pizza Man is they REALLY SKIMP on sauce. ANY SAUCE. Dipping sauce, pizza sauce, sauce on their hot wings (ordered the original hot last night and at first thought they gave me the "naked wings" on accident), their pasta is the worst offender, though. I don't think they even know what alfredo sauce IS. I've ordered the alfredo THREE times (because, "surely it was a screw up last time" was my thinking), either they use no cream to make a cream based sauce or they just put butter on the noodles. We ordered a large regular crust pepperoni pizza for my daughter and was given a price over the phone. When we arrived to pick it up, the price had increased and the crust was thin. We mentioned this to the older lady at the front and she began to argue with us saying that we ordered a thin crust and that the price is what she quoted us. My daughter doesn't like thin crust so we have never ordered it. The male cook (very kind man) came out from the kitchen and said that he'd make another one the way we wanted. He brought out a frozen round dough and asked if the crust on that one is better for us. We were shocked that it was frozen but we said yes. The lady become so upset and aggressive that she was actually yelling at us saying that we are the worst people in the world and that she will never allow us to step foot in her restaurant again. We were shocked and appalled. We asked for our money back and left. This is unacceptable behavior from anyone especially from a business owner who's livelihood depends on its customers and positive reviews. I have been coming here for a really long time and it's always been pretty good but recently its becoming less and less appealing to me. The prices are pretty expensive and the order always takes a long time, I waited an hour and a half once, I thought they forgot about my order! The reason I liked this place so much was because they didn't put loads of sauce on like other places but recently they've just been losing all flavor. They also barely put any toppings on. The crust on the pizza is VERY thin and tastes hard, i usually don't eat the crust. One good thing though is that they've never burnt or undercooked the pizza. The hot wings are pretty good but they're tiny with little meat on it. The hamburger is pretty good and the meat tastes fresh and is very thick and nicely prepared although the toppings on the hamburger like lettuce and tomato taste kinda old. I totally agree with the guy who says they're miserly with their condiments which is unusual for most food businesses. They've always made a kind of big deal for my husband's request for some jalapeno with our pizza! My husband was surprised at the pettiness d first time but got used to their attitude later n even offered to pay. Anyway, I thought it wud be just one of those Fridays when I wud order a large veg.pizza from this place for my husband to pick up on his way back from office. We've done this often since their flyers made us aware of good pick up deals. Their latest flyer said $ 5.99 for a medium pizza with 2 toppings. I wondered if I cud get 2 medium pizzas this time; one of them just plain coz my l'll kid enjoys it. She scrapes away & leaves aside all the toppings. Ordering just a large plain pizza doesn't make much sense just becoz of a kid who just consumes about a slice and a half. I called up and was put on hold coz the usual guy( presumably the owner) was taking another order. When he came back, d first thing I asked him after telling him I wished for 2 medium pizzas was if I cud have d option of keeping one pizza plain and instead have it's toppings all on the other one. He agreed and went ahead to write down the all 4 veg.toppings. When he asked for the address, I informed him it was for pick up. He seemed in a hurry n was about to hang up when I asked to know the total amount and I was surprised to hear something nearly $18. When I clarified that one pick up pizza was $5.99, he almost took offense and rudely answered that they cudn't offer 4 toppings on a single pizza! When I pointed out that he'd just agreed to it before I placed my order, he became ruder and told me among other things(which I don't remember coz they were hurried uttered) that it's not for the pick up deal since they were individual pizzas! And to think he wasn't even going to bother revealing all this to me on his own, even after he did know it was a pick up order! Besides, the way I see it, it hardly makes much difference how a customer wants his 4 possible toppings divided between his 2 pizzas as long as the same customer is picking up n paying for both, irrespective of whether it's a combined or individual deal- And that too not for some heavyduty chicken, sausage, beef etc. toppings but just for onions, mushrooms and tomatoes! They're not even some big global chain running a standard practise that they can't accomodate a simple request, which requires them neither to alter the quantity or price! I 'accomodated' in the past by not calling up for a return/ refund on getting a pizza quite burnt and black at the base and still eating it, and just telling them politely on my next order to take care! (I've had a new neighborhood pharmacist give me the first fill of a medicine free n onother on half price just to earn my regular business!)That's how long term customer relations n goodwill are built by any small neighborhood businesses who are supposed to be less impersonal in their dealings. But, I wud've still not had problem with his explantion and inability to accept my request if it wud've been done politely n in a friendly way,It was the rudeness apart from the stubborn, stuck up attitude that caught me unware and made me want to re think my order and therefore say, " okay, can I call u back?" The response? The phone being banged down on me! Whoever the rude, illmannered petty dudes running this 'family business' are, they shud first brush up on basic manners, and customer skills AND 'temper management' (customers are not there to bear the brunt of your ill temper) without which they can keep dumping their 100 flyers with 100 discounts on every doorstep every second day( which is how I learnt of them in the first place) and still keep loosing business like they JUST LOST MINE. (The only flyer of 'Pizza Man' I had in my kitchen is now down the trash bin) They also need to remember there are MANY other pizza joints, n better ones all around them for anyone to happily go to; so they need to really change that attitude BIG TIME. And what did I end up having for dinner today?- well, just rediscovered the Subway across their joint and had a very fulfilling, not to mention healthier bite!
