Cheesematic New York Pizza and The Pepperoni New York Pizza Lunch Special
    Andrea P.

This place was dope, first time visiting and it won't be my last. Customer service was on point and the prices were great as well. Got the lunch special which comes with two slices of pizza with a drink, you can't beat that plus the pizza was so good, not crumbs was left straight smashed both of the pizza. Don't hesitate coming here, the pizza is a must try

The pizza here is delicious! Ordering for pick up was a breeze, our food was ready on time and made correctly. I love that they have different styles of pizza, we happen to come on a Tuesday and order their specialty of the day, which is only available on Tuesdays. It turned out to be my favorite pizza, the other ones were tasty though too. We have tried a variety of different ones and enjoyed all of them. Good quality ingredients, perfectly baked. Price is portions are fair, especially considering how filling it is you can easily feed 3 to 4 people on one pizza. Great option in the area if you are looking for delicious pizza!

What pushed me to rate What Up Dough 5 stars, instead of 4 is their Roman style pizza. It was even thicker than a Detroit or Sicilian style square, but much airier and it didn't tear up the roof of my mouth. If you've spend just a bit of time in the SoCal pizza scene, you start to see the same toppings and styles so, I can't stress enough how impressive it is to find something new. Strictly in terms of flavor, both The Hot Boy Roman square and CheeseMatic NY slice were great, but not life changing. I would say they're on par with similar pizza spots like Prince St., Prime, and Slice House. Something that did stand out to me on my first visit was the lack of options. Normally, this would be a negative, but it was a workday and I came in a little before 4pm. I saw this as a positive sign that they're keeping their pizzas fresh by only making enough for their lunch and dinner rushes. That being said, I am disappointed by the fact that you have to order a whole pizza if you want to try their Detroit style square. In addition, they seem to be on the pricier side, but I think the flavor and overall experience make What Up Dough a reliable pizza spot I would recommend to others.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and we finally found ourselves in the area and hungry for pizza. My husband and I ordered a cheese pizza and garlic knots. The knots were great. The dough was fluffy inside and crispy on the outside. Freshly baked and delicious. Shredded Parm on top and a red dipping sauce. Definitely needed more garlic flavor but still very good. Wish the sauce was at least room temp and not fridge cold, though. Our pizza was just okay, sadly. The dough was perfect. It was thin and crisp but floppy. 10/10. But the sauce to cheese ratio was iffy at best. I love a saucey pizza but this pizza could have benefited from more cheese. But even so, I think I just didn't really care for the sauce. I didn't love it as a dip for my garlic knots but was hopeful that it was just because it was served cold. But alas. Their sauce leans to more of a fresh tomato taste and not enough to a cooked sauce taste for me. My husband also said he got a chunk of raw garlic in one bite so that kind of proved my point on the undercooked sauce aspect. I can see how some people may like this type of sauce but it wasn't for me personally. A shame, because that dough is perfect. Alas. While I wouldn't come here again on my own, if someone wanted to go or brought it to a potluck, I'd eat it.

They were closing in about 45 minutes so they were not making any more slices of pizza. They were limited options and they don't make any personal pizza either. They only make huge extra-large ones. So I could not order anything. The service was good and the environment was alright. Parking is located on the street or parking lot

I had the BBQ Chicken NY & Walter White pizzas. The pizzas were good and fulfilled my pizza craving. They have NY, Roman and Detroit style pizzas. I like that they have slices available if you want to try their different toppings. There is indoor seating. They have everyday lunch special from 11a-3p

Decent slice of pizza to get quick and fun flavors, but nothing special. Happy to go back though!

    Lorena Q.

This pizza was honestly awful! dry, barely warm, and 20 minutes late on top of that. No real sauce, weirdly chewy, and the "garlic knots" had zero garlic and were just as dry. Even the dipping sauce tasted more like salsa than marinara. Big disappointment, couldn't even keep eating it. Want my money back honestly

    Misty G.

Good pizza by the slice. I had the Hawaiian with jalapeños but I don't care for jalapeños so I picked them off and enjoyed the pizza just fine. It is thin, and they heat it up before serving it to you. Next time I want to try the cheese and white sauce.

Must try! Flavorful pizza and garlic knots are tasty. Everything is cooked perfectly. I always find it easy to park on the corner they're in and the guys have amazing customer service, even when it's full and busy there. I come in at least once a week and this place never disappoints.

Excellent! We wanted deep dish pizza after biking our first half century. We found this place on Yelp and ordered a deep dish and wings. The deep dish was incredible! Love how doughy it was omg. I wish it did have more sauce or gave red sauce as a side but it's okay, it still hit the spot. I think this was more Detroit style deep dish. Their ranch side was super good too. I didn't try the wings but they said they were also good.

    Hot Boy Roman Pizza

This was my second time ordering from here and I loved it even more than I did the first time. I got the hot boy Roman, which for anyone wondering it's more of a Sicilian style than Roman I'd say but regardless it was incredible. Really flavorful sauce and great dough/crust. I had asked for lots of sauce and they put the perfect amount and while I was in there one of the guys acknowledged I asked for extra sauce which i appreciated since I don't feel like every place pays attention to notes. I also feel like for LA the prices are really great and they even offer deals on Mondays and Tuesdays which is cool. Definitely plan on ordering here more often.

I discovered this place through the InKind App and can't wait to try more pizzas. I got both the Roman Style and New York Style. Generous toppings and size. My whole family enjoyed the food. Plenty of parking around the area too. Must try pizza in Burbank.

My fave pizza is the Zucha, which has pumpkin, olives, feta, zucchini, red bell pepper, and spinach. I know it's a little bit of a weird pizza and for parties, I'll usually order just a personal Zucha for myself and anyone who wants to try along with the more crowd-pleasing pizzas. But I love unique menu items and this combo is just so delicious together. Lucifer's is just a tad pricey to be our usual pizza go-to, but I always look forward to ordering from here.

The pictured wings are raw. On top of this, when I picked up my food no one assisted me for almost 10 minutes and there was just this rude employee staring at me through the kitchen area. It's a shame that this place has tanked in food quality but also service. I was going to bring my out of state friend here to give her review on this food but now I don't think I will ever return. My first experience was at their Porter Ranch location, and it was great. However, I absolutely LOVE the Burbank location because of the service and atmosphere. The pizza at both locations is fabulous and exceptional, but Farzan went above and beyond to make my experience truly exceptional and unexpected. He was kind, courteous, and even offered to carry my three large pizzas to the car. WOW! His recommendations were spot on, as I wanted to try the Purple Potato and the award winning Cal Italia. I also ordered the Motorhead, which was absolutely fantastic. Of the three pizzas, hands down our favorite was the Purple Potato. The bacon and pesto sauce made this pizza exceptional. Both aesthetically and flavorful, this was perhaps the best pizza I have ever had. The Motorhead was also incredibly flavorful and the basil on top elevated it beyond your typical pepperoni-and-sausage pizza. Our least favorite was the Cal Italia, as it didn't really stand out in flavor. It was a bit sweet and lacked the "pop" that the other pizzas had. The fig sauce, asiago and gorgenzola cheese did not really stand out. With both indoor and outdoor seating, this clean and more attractive location is my new favorite pizza house. Thanks to Farzan for leaving an inspiring impression of what the service industry needs more of.
