This Pizza Man "Pronto" needs a rebrand because it is certainly far from pronto. If you're coming in for a quick meal during the lunch hour or just want to grab and go, this is not the place for you! But if you have the time to wait for your delicious meal or are ordering ahead of time, then I totally recommend it. I came in for a leisurely weekday lunch. We sat at the bar and ordered the Garlic Bread (with Mozzarella Cheese) and the Bianca Pizza. The small size was perfect to share between 2 people for lunch and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The waiter was extremely friendly during our visit, despite the fact we witnessed him getting scolded by a customer because she was unsatisfied with the wait time for her sandwich. In a time where businesses are wildly understaffed, I think Pizza Man Pronto is doing their damn best! I will be back with an appetite and patience! read more

Pizza Man is one of my favorite pizza joints in Milwaukee. I used to go with my gramps back inna day at least once a month when they were located on North Avenue. Unfortunately there was another business struggling next door, & that owner thought arson was a good idea, & Milwaukee lost a location with almost fifty years of history. I'm so glad they bounced back, although I haven't been able to reach them as easily now that I don't have a car. I highly recommend the Milwaukee special; black olives, mushrooms, & yummy italian sausage on the classic thin crust. It's a fundamental part of the MKE experience, even in Mequon. I can't speak to the staff or ambiance at this location, so it's four stars, but I hope you get that's just cause I dunno if anything has changed since I've been able to get out there. Pizza Man is probably my favorite local pizzeria along with Zaffiro's. read more

This is another fine restaurant in the Mequon Public Market. Pizzaman Pronto hit all the marks for me. Customer service was great and nice conversation since we were the only customers at the time. The food came out promptly and the Sous Chef even came out to talk and joke a little bit. Always nice to meet the people behind the scenes. The spicy Italian sandwich was made on their garlic bread which was really good and a delicious way to eat a sandwich. My wife also munched on a small portion of the sandwich and agreed with the great taste. She ordered the brussel sprout salad and it was eaten quickly, so I would say it was also delicious. We have been going to Pizza Man for decades. It has consistently been one of our favorites. However, this "Pizza Man Pronto" isn't the Pizza Man we remember. My wife ordered two pizzas mid-afternoon for a 5:15 pickup. At 3:38 she got a text saying the pizza was ready, more than 90 minutes before the scheduled pickup. She communicated with "slicelife", who confirmed that the pizzas were indeed ready for pickup. She then called the store, who confirmed the pizzas were there and was told they would be fine because they are sitting in a warmer and they do it all the time. I went to the store to pick up the pizzas at 5:15, and they were NOT in a warmer. They were sitting on the counter, and cold. I talked to the manager, Sue, who told me that she personally put the pizzas in at 5:00, and that we received the text because she "pushed the wrong button". That was obviously a lie, because it contradicted the text, the email and a phone call. Also, if they pizzas went in at 5:00 they would be hot. I refused to accept the cold pizzas. She didn't offer me a refund, or to make fresh pizzas, but offered to warm them up for me, which I found to be absurd. For $50, you expect your pizzas to be fresh out of the oven, not warmed up and soggy after sitting on the counter for nearly two hours. She gave me a contemptuous shrug, making it clear that she wasn't going to do anything more than that. I told her to throw them away and left. Pizza Man kept our $50, and didn't respond to an email request for a refund. It boggles the mind that rather than admit a mistake and make things right at a cost of few dollars of ingredients, the manager would do this to a long-time customer who has literally spent thousands of dollars with the restaurant. I'm rating this place one star because of the service and attitude. The pizza isn't bad. We ordered two small pizzas - the Topher and the Flyin' Hawaiian, along with one of the Chopped Salads. Placed the order online at 5:10pm on a Wednesday night. Said the order would be ready at 5:45pm. Perfect. I arrived a bit early at 5:30pm, in case it was ready. I don't want it to sit, right? The guy - maybe late teens or early 20's - checked with the kitchen and said it wasn't ready. It wasn't even in the oven yet, but he'd ask the staff to put it in now and it would be ready at 5:45pm. OK. No problem. I went nearby and diddled with my phone. 5:45pm I checked in and he said it's not quite ready but any time now. 6:00pm - I checked again and he snapped back at me that I need to be patient and there's nothing he can do. He said it was supposed to be ready at 5:45pm and I told him yup, it's now 6pm, showing him the time via my phone. No empathy or even apology. Finally, 6:06pm and he brings the pizza and salad out. He handed it to me - though it was more of a toss and put the bag with salad on top of the hot pizza. It wasn't balanced in my hand yet and everything almost fell. But he had no poops to give. Not a word from him. No apology, no have a good night, nothing. I sent a note to the restaurant via instagram, but haven't heard back. I don't post a lot of reviews on Yelp, but felt compelled to post this. It's the second time this restaurant has significantly missed their promised time by a significant margin and the second time they've had a bad attitude about it. It's the last for me as I won't return. It's too bad as the pizza was actually pretty good. For the owner: I welcome a phone call. And I want the tip back. I've never asked for a tip to be returned before, but I want it refunded: $6.60, which was 15%. Check #56 on July 14th. read more

My wife, toddler, and I went to Pizza Man for dinner. There were some other people but it wasn't super busy. We ordered a salad, personal pizza, and a sandwich. They said I would receive a text when my order was ready. We sat down and waited 20 minutes. I went to ask about our order and was told by the head chef that if I hadn't gotten a text I had to wait and proceeded to turn around and walk away. I waited another 20 minutes and then checked on my order. The woman behind the register checked on my order and told me the salad and pizza were ready, but the sandwich was not. I took what was ready and went to eat. Came back 20 minutes later, a whole HOUR after I had ordered to ask about the sandwich. The worker said she would check and told me it was not ready. I went and bought ice-cream for my child and myself and when I came back it had been 75 minutes since I ordered. Seeing as my family had now completely eaten and had dessert, I went to cancel my sandwich order and was told "they just put it in" and that the kitchen hadn't received a ticket for the sandwich, despite 2 of my 3 items which were on the same ticket already being done. They gave me a refund but offered no apologies or any sympathy for taking over 75 minutes to realize they didn't make the sandwich, thus wasting my time. They clearly don't have anyone keeping track of timing or making sure that everything on tickets are being made in a timely manner. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

Opened the box when I was paying, and the pizza was so sad looking (and not what I ordered). So I left it. I know these are hard times, but spreading sausage on a pizza is pretty straightforward. I always order double sausage from Pizza Man (and only from Pizza Man, not from others) because they are so skimpy with toppings. And even double sausage isn't close to enough. Especially when they throw most of the sausage on one side of the pizza and leave the other half with just a few pieces. So weird.... As if the employees have never tried pizza before. Look at pictures on the web or on a frozen pizza package at the grocery store; ingredients are spread uniformly across the pizza. I'm surprised they still have 2 stars on yelp. The Downer location may be a 2-star location, but not Mequon. read more

Junk. I placed and online order last christmas eve in 2022 as it said they were open. When i got to the Mequon public market it was locked and a ghost town. I call the number on pizzamans site over 50 times orver 3 weeks and went straight to voicemail every time. I sent at least 6 emails to that address on their site and not one response. My order was almost $100 and they literally store from me by ghosting when a legit refund is requested as the product was impossible to be give to me in exchange for money as they were closed. The pizza is good in a nostalgic kind of way but it's not the Pizza Man from the old East side so don't go all goofy when you don't come home weeping with memories of yesterday! Eat it while it's hot and enjoy all the flavor of the modern Pizza Man Pronto! You'll still have a great experience, get that warm fuzzy feeling, tell some poor kid your goofy East side memories, and walk away feeling all full of Italian goodness! Pizza Man Pronto in Mequon Public Market delivers a good value for the price. The pizza is fresh and piping hot when you get it so eat it immediately! Enjoy an iced cold beverage (non-alcoholic is great), good friends, family, even bring the dog! There's space outside on the courtyard and sometimes there's live music in the evenings -- jazz, classical, country, rock, etc. Make it an outdoor pizza night with Pizza Man Pronto before summer is over OR eat inside on a cooler night on the upper level of the Public Market. We made a big order for a Friday night, hosted by my parents. The food was mediocre at best, the wait was 30 minutes beyond what they had estimated, but the worst part was that they left out a $14 salad. My poor mother called them multiple times, including that night and in the days since. She's left messages. They have not called her back. Absolutely no accountability. Sadly I have to agree. Pretty random on the quality of pizza ad service is not great. Also the dark lighting makes you think they're closed from a distance. I'll give Tosa or MKE locations one more chance, but the quality of the pizza at Tosa seems less than what it once was. read more

Service is notoriously bad here but I didn't have any problems this time. However our pizza had to be the worst pizza I have ever had. The toppings were hardly there. I ordered a margarita pizza and a cheese pizza. Both pizza's crusts was more like a graham cracker and as thin as a piece of paper. The crust didn't even rise. And there was no sauce to be found other than the half pieces of tomato on the margarita pizza. Both pizzas was supposed to be the "small size" yet the cheese barely covered 1/2 the area of the pizza to the point where the corner and outer most pieces had barely an iota of cheese/toppings on it. For almost 40 bucks for this terrible of quality of a pizza is just unacceptable.(~6$ tip). Just get frozen pizza or something you will enjoy it much more. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We were there on Sunday night 11/14/21. Although there were four employees standing around and chatting in the ordering area, it took 25 minutes for my parents to get the two Caesar salads they ordered. The salads consisted of lettuce and croutons, with a side of dressing. When My dad was halfway through his salad, it contained a shard of hard, broken plastic, which he spit out. I ran and warned the loitering employees that there was broken plastic shards in the salad. They could not have been any less concerned. read more

This place has the worst service. They are always working with a minimal inexperienced staff. The food always takes 3x longer then it should to come out. When brought to their attention the staff is unapologetic and rude. The last interaction with this place the staff just said they don't care because they were leaving the Mequon Market anyways. Then it seemed like the MOD had now idea what she was doing and continued to yell at the staff. read more
