Easy to order by phone (sometimes it may ring, but I just try again in a bit). The NY pizza is pretty big and perfect for folding. The pizzas were a bit greasy but good all in all. I heard the cheese pizza is the best but I liked their sausage, too. I'd definitely go back but maybe try something else to keep exploring the menu! read more

This is my fiancé's favorite, so when we were in town this past weekend, he decided it was time to introduce me. I can easily see why he raves about this pizza. The NY-style crust is thin but not soggy with a pillowy edge that is the perfect amount of un-topped edge for holding & folding, there is ample cheese, and the toppings are generous but not so plentiful you are overwhelmed. Prices for pizzas include 2 toppings (THANK YOU; of course I want more than just cheese on my pizza!). We opted for sausage + olive and a veggie option with olives, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. As a veggie pizza lover, I have to say this was one of my favorites I've had - veggies were thinly sliced so the pizza didn't get watery. The sausage had nice seasoning as well. I'll definitely move this to the top of my list of restaurants to return to on our next visit. read more

This place was recommended when looking to get pizza for lunch. Initially, we were asking about delivery but decided to pick it up instead. We ordered two 18-inch pizzas and 2 orders of cheese bread for six people, which was more than enough. The cheese bread was absolutely amazing, as was the marinara that came with it! The bread was not crispy but soft (in a good way), and the cheese was perfectly melted. The pizzas (total New York style!), which we customized and ordered on thin crust, were very good and flavorful. The only downside was that the crust was a little "soggy," but I'm certain that was simply because of the thin crust and ride back. Ordering from here is a great way to support a local, family owned, small business! I would definitely choose this place again over one of the chains! read more

First i had to call 28 times just to get though on their phone line which they really need to have multiple lines for ordering. After picking up the pizza was def good but they skimped on most toppings and little sauce but if it were not for the skimping on topping and sauce especially for the price it would have been a 5 star. The lasagna was perfect and a 5 star but the salad was junk and served in a paper fry boat and wrapped in tinfoil. Should have at least been served in a Styrofoam container. The salad was just iceberg lettuce and a slice of onion and 2 tomato slices and black olives. To sum it up the pizza is very good but fails due to little quantity of toppings vs the price that is paid for toppings. read more

Advertised as the best New York style pizza in Mequon, so we decided we would give it a shot. Had to call probably 6 times to get through, it was 5-6 pm on a Friday night. Placed our order and arrived at the instructed time, the pizza was not yet ready but no big deal it was done within 5 minutes of arrival. Pizza was great, we built our own. My biggest complaint is it's super overpriced. $2.25 to add onions is ridiculous! Maybe for meat but for every single topping it seemed excessive. It was 35$ for one large two topping pizza and a side of cheesy garlic bread. The taste of the pizza wasn't great enough to overcome the high price, but would definitely come back if prices were more fair. As far as pizza places go that pizza by the slice, this place is far from special. The sauce was quite runny and there's no specialty pizzas to choose from because you pay for each individual topping on your slice. My boyfriend and I came yesterday, as we had been there before and the food was good, but when we got back home, I had food poisoning. Great NY style pizza! We received a free medium sized pizza voucher in the mail and decided a rainy Sunday football day would be the perfect time to try a new spot. The pizza was delicious, with an amazing pizza sauce. We added toasted ravioli to the order and they were decent. Born and raised in STL, I'm use to top tier meat T-ravs. These were cheese filled and didn't live up to STL quality but still good. Friendly service over the phone and when we picked up our order. This is the only and best NYC pizza on the Northshore. Fold it over and pack it in! Hidden off of Mequon Rd., Leonardo's knows how to represent the 212. Their pies are hand tossed and laid with a foundation of personal toppings that will make your mouth water. Not sure if they use a starter for their dough. Will have to update my review after I find out. Interior lacks, so plan on taking your pie to go. Great sandwiches and pastas, too, that can be customized for catering. I've used them for catering several times. They're always on-time and dependable. They'll also do their best to accomodate dietary needs. I always appreciate when an establishment goes out of their way to move away from the staple menu and work to create a positive customer experience. Chewy, soft, crispy.... you'll find it in their original pizza crust. Be sure to check their website for coupons. If I'm looking for a thin crust pizza- Leonardo's is my choice. I've eaten here countless times - growing up nearby this was my fix for many years while growing up. Working by here has also resulted in many lunches here. I usually stick to their thin crust NYC style pizza as I think it is one of the best in the North Shore area yet the sandwiches and lunch specials that change on a daily basis are also really good. They have a meatball sandwich, calzone, 2 slice combo, and a few other that rotate daily for lunch to try something different each day while MASH plays in the background. Yes, the pizza is greasy and comes with your standard toppings yet it ALWAYS hits the spot of what I'm looking for. It's just like Sollys, you can't eat it every day, but it always delivers when you do eat it...and you'll have cravings for it. My husband and I had dinner here a few nights ago and weren't very impressed. The man who took our order was very curt and not very personable. We almost felt like we inconveniencing him. We ordered their new special, the buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza was very one-dimensional, I believe it was only buffalo sauce, chicken, and cheese. It could have used some celery for crunch and maybe a blue cheese sauce base for creaminess. Also, the pizza was floppy and a bit soggy towards the middle, which made it hard to eat. Don't buy from here...worst pizza I've ever had plus they folded over the edge of one side of the pizza. When I opened it and asked why they didn't use a larger box, they said they didn't have one (I had ordered a medium pizza so I can't imagine that they didn't have a larger box). I really like Pizza Hut but after this place, we have converted! We got the NY pizza as suggested and boy, it was HUGE!! Bang, for the buck, check! They gave it to us sizzling hot so it was agonizing to wait about 10 minutes for it to cool down before we could actually eat it. :( Meanwhile, we were watching FoodNetwork on the TV screens so we weren't complaining much.
