Walked in with my wife for a second dinner. Tried to order 25cl vas of wine and a pizza. Waiter demands that each person in your party must order an entree. We tell him that just want to nibble on the pizza while sipping our wine, we're heavy wine drinkers so 25cl was just the start. He goes and asks permission from his boss, who happens to be a customer at the time (a loud drunk btw), returns to our table and asks us to leave. Heard decent things about their pizza but don't expect a US customer service experience here. read more

Owner was rude we went in the first day to an Empty restarant and no one tried to seat us. We then sat at a table by the door and the owner ran over and scolded us. Service sucked. Good pizza, NOT Tourist Friendly Had some good pizza but as we were finishing up our waiter dropped off a bottle of water which we did not ask for and he did not ask us if we wanted. We were charged an extra €7 for this bottle of water. I didn't notice it until after I already paid the bill which is what I think they were hoping for. We take the bottle after realizing this scummy practice and come to find out not only did they charge us €7 extra for a sparkling bottle of water we didn't ask for, they gave us a REFILLED bottle of TAP WATER. I would NOT recommend this place for ANYONE visiting Paris. At least have the courtesy of asking "Sparkling or Still" like all the other places that prey on tourists eating dinner by charging for water at the table. read more

Sorry, but we entered this Restaurant because of good posts. But although the restaurant was empty and we (two adults and two kids) were choosing a table at the window, the waiter informed us that it has already be reserved. Funny! Nobody was sitting at this table the whole time. They have no bruschetta and no pizze or pasta with tuna or salmon! I took the pizza Bresaola (18€!) but it was like a Margareta just dropped of some Bresaola. No arugula or tomato or something and the taste was really nothing special. No bread with the salad, no plain water. The service was bad and naughty. The table was cleared while we were still chewing the meal. Apart from this the interior of the restaurant is nice. We were greeted by a friendly manager that took us under his wing... Spoke perfect English, Italian and French.. Treated us like family and checked up on us to make sure we didn't have any questions.. Our server was also very friendly and helpful. Helped us with translations. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and some wine and an appetizer. Our pasta dishes were delicious and very authentic. Just as good as we had in Rome.. Prices were reasonable and would definitely return. After several days of rather hearty French classics, I was in the mood for a little break. Chose this establishment based on reviews, and I was very happy with the result. So much so, that I returned for a second time before my trip was over. The ingredients were all very fresh, from the produced down to the dough used for the pizzas. The wood fire pizza oven and the prep station are in the middle of the dining room, making for a little bit of visual entertainment. The servers were friendly enough, although by no means chatty. They took the order, brought the food, and then brought the bill, all with a smile. I was in for both dinner and lunch, and the restaurant certainly did fill up. Would recommend arriving slightly before peak times to guarantee getting a table. Seemed to be a good mix of locals and tourists. If you are looking for a comfortable and casual place where the food and house wines are good and affordable, this is a winner. read more

Of course Paris has wonderful food, but there are only a few pizzerias to do it right. Pizzeria marinara makes a beautiful pie and the service is fantastic. We came here three times in 10 days and we were never disappointed. read more

I am in Paris for a few days and this restaurant is near my hotel. The reviews were very high so I walked over. The owner or manager is a lovely man. I had the rocket salad and a margarita pizza and two glasses of chianti they recommended. The salad was delicious and the wood fired pizza was better then back home. Zane is at a meeting so I sat by myself enjoying the lovely banter of the French customers. Please give them a try, I speak no French but they speak English well. read more

Flavorful wood-fired pizza! I loved the veggie pizza - including mushrooms, olives, peppers, and more. My family loved the margherita pizza. We sat across from the pizza maker and enjoyed watching him spin the crusts. The pizzas cook quickly in the wood oven and have a perfectly crisp crust. Walked in 35 minutes prior to closing and asked if we could still order pizza and wine. There was a large group of about 8-12 having a good time and were ushered in by the host. Host sat us, delivered menus and mentioned they were closing soon and we should "hurry up to order" - not an issue for us, we were eager to order and had already viewed the menu outside and knew what we wanted. We asked for a very basic cheese pizza, and planned on ordering a glass of wine each (something small, 14cl or something, as a nod to the approaching closing.) Prior to placing drink order, host asked what else we wanted, we said just the one pizza (it was about 14 Euro, and we saw the other pizzas placed family style around the large group, they appeared to be about 12'' diameter.) Host said we needed to order two pizzas. He said one pizza "is not possible." A little confused, I said "Well, yes, it is, she eats half and I eat half, or some combination thereof, until the pizza is gone." Host replied "Boss says no, won't let me" ... I said we would also like to order drinks. No dice. Should the menu say "no sharing" or "everyone seated must order a pizza" or something fairly clear, I would have no objections...but to have these types of odd requirements seem very strange. We walked out and left with nothing, and kept our app. 40 Euro for another business that actually wants to make money. read more

Very "junk food" place with mayo on the top of the salad and canned tomato souse. Service is ok but could have been better. It's not a place where you actually would make a reservation for the dinner. It's ok to stop on your way and have a quick pizza which looks pretty nice read more

I am from NY where pizza is junk food for the soul and many would argue the best in the world. I know it is sacrilege to say, but the best pizza in the world, hands down, is the pizza in Paris from La Marinara. I have been traveling to Paris and staying in this neighborhood for 16 years now and I always eat at the restaurant for dinner more nights than not. I tell everyone that they have the best pizza in the world and to stop by when they're visiting. In all seriousness, even with so many great eating options in Paris, I find my lodging based on proximity to La Marinara. You can't go wrong with their food and their traditional Italian style of hospitality. read more

This is a pretty standard pizza/italian joint. Kinda touristy, but nicely decorated. Food was ok. Gnocchi were quite large. 4-cheese pizza with Camembert missed the mark. We stay nearby, but probably won't be back. read more

Came here today for a quick lunch. We asked to be seated at the table near the window, however we were immediately ushered to the back of the restaurant, because the table was only for four people and we only had two people with us total. Upon ordering we decided we would share one pizza between the two of us. Upon hearing this the waiter scoffed and rudely commented that "this is not a snack bar for snacking" it was at this point that the waiter walked away. He didn't return so we decided to leave. This was the rudest waiter/individual we have encountered in Paris. We won't judge the good people of Paris due to this terrible restaurant/establishment. However if you are a tourist we advise you to highly avoid this restaurant at all costs, spend your money elsewhere. "This place is not for snacking" ... that's their new motto. read more
