My wife are staying at the fam camp and wanted to see what was available on base. Pizza Mia seems to be the only spot other than the Exchange food court, which is rather limited unto itself. I'll start off that our food was good! They do have a very large menu that includes various pasta dishes as well. A little pricey for the setting but good! The pizza was delicious, but the Buffalo wings were soggy and pedestrian at best while the salad was OK. The price for the salad was equal to most fast casual restaurants. Your choice of canned or bottled non-alcoholic beverages. They did not seem to have a soda fountain. No TVs. Honestly, for a place on an Air Force Base, it's a little disappointing to go and eat. If you're eating take away or having it delivered, you wouldn't experience the setting shortcomings. read more

If you work on Hanscom AFB you know food options are limited. This is currently the only sit-down lunch option. Because it's inconvenient to go off-Base and the close-by alternatives are limited even a 2-star rating probably wouldn't keep you away. Fortunately, no compromise is needed. Mia is actually a pretty decent "House Of Pizza" style restaurant. Well above the average. As you can see from the photo, decor is practically nonexistent - not even the travel posters of Italy or Greece commonly found in similar establishments. But the food is pretty good, the staff is nice, and the menu choices are numerous. My only complaint is it can be a little slow at times, as they do a brisk business in pick-up and delivery orders as well as the diners in house. If you're by yourself bring a book or something to do. I like the pizza. I've only had single slices, not whole pies and they're always hot and never stale which is often a problem with single slices. The toppings are generous (pepperoni covering most of the area) and the crust is stretchy, not too thin, and browned on the bottom. The right amount of cheese and sauce. Not top of the line but pretty good. Two big slices for less than $10 makes an ample lunch. They have a huge selection of burgers. The patty is about 5-6 oz which I think is the perfect size. They are cooked to your preference for doneness; highly unusual in this level of restaurant. Some of the varieties are pretty strange, like the Hawaiian (grilled pineapple, ham, mozzarella, and bbq sauce), or the Deluxe Cajun (american cheese, jalapeno poppers, lettuce, tomatoes, hot banana rings, homemade cajun sauce, mayo, ketchup). That's one of my favorites, but more than I really need for a lunch. Burgers are all served with your choice of fries. Steak fries are the default, but they also have regular, spicy, sweet potato, and onion rings. All for the same price. I've tried all the fries except sweet potato and they're all decent but not spectacular. The onion rings are think-battered and very crunchy. I've only tried one sub so far. The steak and cheese. Ok but the steak was too finely chopped. Roll was fresh. Will have to try some other subs and calzones sometime. They also have other things like salads, pockets, gluten-free, and plate-style dinners (pastas, steak tips, stir fries, etc. I haven't tried them. No dessert items other than baklava and cookies. That's ok as I only typically come here for a sandwich. I'd pick up a pizza here on my way home because it's better than my local choices but too long a drive to stay hot so I haven't yet. read more

Pizza Mia has gotten the last money they will get from me. Seriously, we have lived on this base for four years, and I haven't had a good experience there for three. It had been almost a year since my last order, and it was still bad. A garden salad shouldn't be that hard, right? A handful of iceberg lettuce and a few other vegetables for over $10 - give me a break. For that price, you should fill the container at the very least. I asked for oil & vinegar and received balsamic. I also ordered cheese fries and specifically stated "No bacon" on the notes section of the order. We have only tried the pizzas and that's what we keep coming back for! The deluxe pizza they make here is DELICIOUS. Hubby loves papa John's, but since it's not available around here we decided to order Dominos instead on a day Pizza Mia was already closed. It was not good. The flavor was not what we expected, I didn't finish the one slice I grabbed, it felt very heavy and even he didn't finish the box, as he usually does. Since then we haven't ordered Dominos again, Pizza Mia's deluxe pizza is just delicious, I even eat the crust, which I usually leave on the plate. Their pepperoni pizza is pretty good too, haven't tried other flavors yet but will definitely be coming back for more! read more

Only does delivery on base. Quick service. Reasonable price. And despite some of the negative reviews the food was good. Had the steak tips stir fry with onion rings. Onion rings were good but would have been better with rice pilaf which was an option. The wife had the double meat Turkey BLT wrap with a wheat wrap and regular fries. Crispy fries with seasoned salt. Wrap was very good except they made it double bacon versus the intended double turkey. Would definitely try them again. read more

Me and my family LOVE Pizza Mia's pizza! Me and my brother's love to walk there and order pizza or chicken. About last year, numerous times my little brother tried ordering pizza on a failed card that was locked down and didn't have any money in it, that lead to Pizza Mia refusing us service to our house address. When we all the fast food joint, they always take long to pick up the phone, or they'll pick up and put us on hold for 10 minutes, until the phone gets passed to the manager and he picks up the line. They make so much drama that we always just hang up and go to the store physically to get our food. Disappointing. EDIT: This is not a question, but actually a 2nd review since I've originally left a first review under Pizza Mia. The ONLY reason why I'm giving this experience 1 star is because of the owner of Pizza Mia's attitude. Otherwise, the pizza was amazing. I loved the taste, It was not too salty, and not too bland. The pizza was excellent and super stringy. On a Saturday I've called Pizza Mia to order for delivery so me and my family could enjoy some pizza, and the employee there immediately gave me a hard time and put me on hold for 10 minutes, saying she was contacting her manager. She kept me on hold for so long that I thought the call got disconnected and I hung up and called the store again. I'm not gonna get into it, but she said the place just couldn't deliver to our address due to some past card issues at delivery. She then got her manager and he told her that I would have to pay with my card over the phone, then they'd deliver to us. I don't trust Pizza Mia with paying anything over the phone, so I said No and just hung up. I tried again on a Monday and went into Pizza Mia physically to order a pizza, and the employee there didn't have QuickPay, they had me put my card info into their system and do a signature to get some PIZZA. Like....? As soon as I've entered the store, the owner didn't even look at me. Didn't turn his face to me, nothing. He just acted like I wasn't there, all pissed off from the weekend that I was not going to give him my credit card information over the phone to pay for a pizza. I walked up to him first to make an order, but he just put his head down and started tapping on his register so I was forced to go to an employee that was a child. The kid took my order, the owner never looked at me. I just found that to be completely petty and very rude. Nonetheless, I got some great pizza, hands down the best pizza I've ever had from pizza Mia. It was Golden, crispy and delicious. But the owner needs to change his attitude. For being on the base they are pretty good. Decently priced and great options. I ordered the chicken tenders that were nice and tender. I wish they were dipped in more sauce. It was buffalo and it was lightly coated. But the dinner came with a side salad, veggie option, fry option and the wings. I will be ordering from here again. read more

One of the best pizza places near base. My boys love their extra cheese pizza. Where I enjoy their spicy chicken wings. They have really good salads for a pizza place. I don't know what they put on the grilled chicken, but it is so tasty and warm. Their burgers are great as well, however one time I got a really small patty and the next couple times I got a regular sized patty. Not sure what the deal is there but still good. Curly fries are usually cooked well done which is a must for me. I am gluten free so I've only tried their GF pizza but it is very good. It does not fall apart and the crust is thick. They eat YOUR food in the back. Ordered a classic cheese burger with steak fries. While waiting I was standing by the drink refer so I could see into the fry station. The older man who does the deliveries walks in drops his bag off and walk back to the fry station. There is a bowl sitting under the heat lamp with my pre-portioned cooked order of fry's. Old man reaches into the bowl and digs out 4 steak fries. While doing so he is in full view of and talking with the cooks in the back. In fact as he walk back out to the front the female cook sarcastically asks if he's wants anything to eat...as he is munching on my fries. So I continue to watch the cook take that bowl of fries away and wouldn't you know my order is ready. With the order of fries, now slightly less, due to an employee eating them. Bring it to the attention of the people working and of course I get the ignorance act as homeboy is literally sitting there gnawing on my fries. read more

When we had to stay in TLF, Pizza Mia was our saving grace! They deliver on post and food is always delivered when they say it will or a little earlier. I don't particularly care for their pizza. I worked for this company for one day, the owner John is extremely rude If you want to be paid 8$ an hour, be a glorified dish washer, and be rudely spoken to than this is the place for you to work! Don't text John because these are the type of rude replies you will receive from this guy. "Hey Aaron just follow up on your first message don't ask how many drivers in a shift if you don't like it you don't have to work nobody's forcing you for anything there's no guarantee how much money you're going to make make a decision either step to the job that I'm giving you or stay where you at I will send you your paycheck." Please don't support this business. He says to communicate with him, but when you do this is what happens...He wonders why people walk out mid shift and quit. He's posting jobs on indeed making 19-30$ an hour. Maybe on a Friday for one hour you may make close to this, but do expect closer to minimum wage due to the fact he has 3-4 drivers delivering in a 5 mile radius...best of luck. read more
