Our pizza had it's cheese slid all over; pizza was actually folded, likely from the polite, young delivery driver's dedication to timely service.. lol! There was almost too much cheese (quite oily) on a delicious, chewy crust, (nice clean oven, NO scorched crust here!) and a good amount of sauce. Our first time here was amazing! The staff is beyond excellent . As we walked in my three year old was like "I want broccoli." and I was like "Oh. Sweetie. I don't think they have broccoli." and the man at the counter was like "Nah we can do that. I can get her a plate of broccoli." and they did! When it came time to order what everyone else wanted, I ordered a slice of cheese pizza for our other toddler. The same man looked at me and said "You want it cut in small pieces for her right?" Of course I did, but I've never had a waiter offer to do it for me! He was a sweetheart, very friendly and very efficient. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I didn't really enjoy the pizza I got. I don't want to say the quality of the food was bad because I don't think that's fair. I look forward to going back and trying something different. They have SOO many choices, and well like I said the staff was wonderful! read more

Pizza Mia is the best pizza I have ever had. They have amazing plain pizza and they can also make pretty much anything into a slice of pizza which I love! Pizza Mia is honestly the best pizza i've ever had in my life. Every time I come here i get a cheese pizza. The sauce tastes like its been made by god and just the over all taste of the pizza is delicious it literally tastes so good. My friend gets the specialty slices and she tells me that its the best ever. I just can't stop thinking about that sauce. It should be bottled up and sold for millions of dollars. Excellent in every way: haven't tasted pizza this good since my local pizza shop in my childhood Bronx neighborhood! The owner is a creative perfectionist who clearly takes immense pride in his wide variety of Italian specialties. The garlic knots and accompanying sauce I received for free with my large pizza were the best I've ever tasted--just wonderful! The pizza was absolutely delicious. The staff was amazing. Gotta love coming in to a place for good food and a friendly environment. This ain't your typical Pizza Hut Pizza, so come in expecting some actual pizza that had some thought given to it. The chef clearly knows what he is doing and this must be a passion for him, because it shows. I had the chicken bacon ranch slice, pepperoni slice and my wife had the spaghetti deep dish and we ended it with their canoli dessert. Those names alone should get you through the door. My boyfriend and I ordered a antipasto and pasta with clam sauce. The clam sauce was literally water with garlic. The clams were extremely fishy and just gross. I had to add a ton of cheese and salt and pepper and parsley.. and it still basically tasted like water and cheese. When I tried to fill up on the antipasto, half of the lettuce was rotton... and all this cost me $30! Waste of money. read more

I hadn't been back to this location in a while as the last time I did I had a bad experience with the sauce giving me extreme heartburn. Hubby and I were craving some calzones so we figured we'd give it another try. We placed a pick up order for a calzone with ham, a calzone with meatball, an order of garlic knots, an order of buffalo chicken tenders and an order of original wings teriyaki. So we got everything home and looked everything over and it just looked ok so we hoped the taste was better. My wings were larger than other places but they were dry - I had dumped the wings onto another plate and poured the wing sauce in the container over them but it just wasn't enough sauce. I guess I should have gotten some on the side. Hubby's buffalo tenders were a good size but I didn't feel he had gotten enough of them seeing as we paid almost $10.00 I believe for them and he said they tasted ok. Our calzones were a bit dark on the top and for whatever reason my calzone was very hard on the edges. I saw my food come out of the oven while waiting for my order so I don't know if it was overcooked or the dough was old or whatever but my meatball calzone was just ok. Hubby said the same thing as his seemed a bit overdone and crunchy at the edges. Then there were the garlic knots. I used to love their tender little knots, but they were hard and dry also. I even microwaved them with a little cup of water inside but it did no good as they just tasted dried out. I again made the ultimate mistake of eating the sauce they gave on the side with the calzone & knots - I could see there was oil at the top of the container and it smelled very acidic. Once again I was up battling extreme heartburn part of the night. I think this is my last visit to this location. I really wanted to like this place too but the food doesn't sit right with me and the quality sadly is not there like it used to be. read more

I'm writing this review to explain the hazardous situation this restaurant has put me and my family through. We ordered three calzones and a salad. Two of the calzones were cooked well but one stood out from the others. For those who like a slight char on their pizza or Calzones I get that but when I tell you this calzone looked like a piece of lump charcoal I mean it. Just as things couldn't get any worse, I proceeded to start eating one of the calzones that didn't look like the burnt remains of a body. To my surprise as i was chewing my food, i felt a very tough morsel. A morsel of sausage casing? No. I had been chewing on a piece of PLASTIC! Not only could this have hurt me but what if this calzone was served to a child? A small child would have surely choked on this. Who knows how many times Pizza Mias has served something like this. For those planning on eating here, please be sure to check your food for physical hazards. I personally think that the staff member responsible for this should be fired. read more

I used to always go to the Pizza Mia in New Windsor, but this new location in the Target Plaza is so much closer to my family's residence. I am so happy they opened up in Newburgh. Super quick service and incredibly friendly. Food was fairly tasty. Prices are low, the chicken tenders were crispy and not at all greasy.
