They have really good pasta and salad. Normally I just order to go and pick it up. The place is mostly always busy. Their pizza is also good. My pasta was delicious very cheesy and my salad was very flavorful. Service is normally fast when you call in advance.

Pizza Nova is a solid restaurant. I enjoy their pizza. Nothing special, nothing bad. The service was a little on the slower side. The ambiance is nice, especially their hard candies that you get after.

We stopped here for an early dinner, about 5 pm. We have been here previously for lunch. Our dinner experience below: The good- strawberry basil mocktail, spicy margarita and apple salad. Just ok- margarita pizza and chicken piccata. Bad- our server Chloe. The first impression was not a good one. It seemed like she didn't like working there. I had to flag her down to get a glass of water and box only to get blown off. Customer service needs work. The manager, who was standing at the front desk, should at least be walking around checking on customers, especially whose server is MIA for 10 mins. Disappointing and will not be returning.

We ordered pizzas but definitely want to return to try some of the other food! The pizzas were great! Very fresh tasting and not greasy. There were a lot of seating options for different size parties and the vibe of the place was very relaxed. Service was great, our waitress was super friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food to come out or for the check to come back. We plan to be regulars here. The environment is also very nice for kids as well.

When we first walked in I was getting disappointed. The hostess up front was on the phone so I don't need her to drop everything, but she didn't even acknowledge us walking in. A nod or wave would've been the minimum I expect. Nobody was at the bar so I found a menu on my own and started looking at what we wanted. Our server was actually very friendly and attentive. Seems she was 1 of 2 people actually working on the floor so I understood why she was busy. Good was delicious and I LOVE the crispy crust. I also enjoy the happy hour offerings so I know I'll be back but I'm hoping the start to my next visit is better.

First time here in San Marcos area and decided to try Pizza Nova, and we're so happy we did! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Our server, Harris, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dining experience, and Manager Shawn was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It's rare to find a place with both amazing food and such exceptional service. We'll definitely be coming back and making Pizza Nova one of our regular spots!

Sorry it's red (I'm doing a red light therapy session and eating pizza in bed. ‍

There's a parking garage that's basically a five minute walk away and validate your parking for the first two hours for free so that is cool! We had reservations, and were quickly accommodated upon arrival. The host was extremely friendly and the environment had a feel good energy vibe. It was a beautiful day to eat on the patio. Everyone was having a great time except for one crying baby lol. But that happens! The food was absolutely delicious, but let me start with that lemon drop martini. Wow! Super delicious. I could've probably drank a dozen of them. The focaccia was cooked perfectly. I thought the Montanara we're going to be like little pizza dough bites that you dip in sauce, but they're actually three giant pizza bites with different sauces and toppings! Very surprising to see, but pleasantly surprised. They were delicious! A nice crispy crust on the outside and a soft fluffy inside. But the star of the show for me, was the pappardelle with the Buona Forchetta (V) SAUCE!!!! Cream, egg yolk, parmigano, spicy marinara, black pepper... and I added crumbled Italian sausage for the win. The vibes were on point, the food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, everything was a win. I would definitely recommend this Italian place to just about anybody. I'm hoping all the other locations are just as good!

We had a very large group of about 14-15 women, and I was so impressed with the service. The staff was attentive, organized, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Even better, they didn't automatically add gratuity for a large party, which made us want to tip them even more because the service truly earned it. Our table ordered what felt like every appetizer on the menu, and every single one was delicious. The cocktails were just as impressive. The Midnight Margarita, topped with a beautiful orchid, was as gorgeous as it was delicious, and the Aperol Sunset Spritz was the perfect drink to enjoy while watching the sun go down over the lake. From the food and drinks to the incredible staff and breathtaking setting, everything exceeded our expectations. It was a flawless evening, and I would absolutely recommend Amalfi for a special occasion--or any excuse to enjoy an amazing meal with an unforgettable view. 10/10, we'll definitely be back!

It Took a while for our server to take a drink order (2 midnight margaritas & waters) and worse almost 20-25 to take our meal order(bucatini pasta dishes (2 different flavors), salad). We did lock eyes a few times with servers to make ourselves look like we needed help. It was one thing after the other like stacking dishes to be cleared off; requesting for more plates/napkins/water... Despite that, the salad was lovely. The pasta bucatini is tasty and fresh and the drinks (4 cocktails and waters) were easy on our eyes. We moved to the bar to sit a while longer and enjoy another drink. The bar is no different than the dining room service and I know that is something the restaurant should be mindful of. (Slow and not really scoping out what should be taken care of ie/ customers without drinks and or place settings for appetizers.) It is Important to mention, that we were not the only group seeing and feeling this way. Needless to say, a very HONEST & CLEAR 3.5 stars. Price is familiar to what I see at similar restaurants and the taste of food and drinks delicious. Thank you for providing a pretty place to have enjoyed a meal and drink with a loved one.

This title was briefly held by Kavos Taverna in Mykonos, Greece where I visited last year. Good job Eugenio. The octopus was unbelievably tender and super flavorful. Food was excellent. Variety was enormous (huge menu). Execution was pretty spot on. I made a comment at the table, "Eugenio certainly knows how to cook" as everything brought to the table was full of flavor, texture, plentiful and well seasoned, although the prosciutto and mushroom pizza was less than desirable. The pie had ham instead of prosciutto, and the overall pie, I would not order again. Much better pizza elsewhere (very, very nearby along Lake San Marcos). Service was good, but not without flaw. We waited until the entire supper was consumed, yet waited and waited for the not really very good, (I think it was a "special") short rib onion soup of sort to come out. We never got our beet salad. Eugenio's food was that good. Lots of flavor. Lots of texture. Not without the hiccups as most kitchens experience. Try it out. Get reservations because it is very small inside and out. I've got a feeling we will be having more Italian food here. Cutely decorated inside too. CritDicks

The seafood was especially fresh and perfectly cooked -- from the tender shrimp and lobster to the flavorful clams and pasta dishes. The atmosphere felt warm, elegant, and welcoming, making it perfect for a relaxing dinner or special occasion. Service was attentive without being overwhelming, and every plate looked like it came straight out of a gourmet magazine. Highly recommend trying the seafood specials and homemade pasta. You can really taste the quality and passion in every bite. The restaurant is often filled up fast for dinner, it is best to reserve in advance.

5/5 Stars!!! I…read morestopped in today expecting a quick trip to pick up two sandwiches, mortadella, and coppa. Having welcomed a newborn just a week ago, my wife and I have been entirely too sleep-deprived and busy to cook. What started as a simple errand ended up being one of the most heartwarming experiences we've had in a long time. When I ordered, Bella at the deli register kindly let me know there would be about a 20-minute wait due to call-in orders, offering me water and fresh bread while I waited. Since my wife and week-old baby were waiting in the air-conditioned car, I brought them inside to sit with me. Shortly after we sat down, a family dining nearby noticed our baby and struck up a warm conversation. A moment later, one of the women from the family came over to congratulate us and offered us some fresh pastries. She returned to our table with two pistachio-filled croissants and two espressos--a gesture that, given our level of sleep deprivation, couldn't have been more appreciated! I later learned from Bella that this incredibly kind woman was Valeria, a member of the Giuseppe family who owns the restaurant. As for the food itself, we got the Gloria sandwich on focaccia. It is honestly one of the best sandwiches we've ever had--so good that this was actually our second time ordering it in three days! I cannot thank Valeria, Bella, and the Giuseppe family enough for their exceptional hospitality and generosity. We left feeling truly cared for and look forward to being regular customers for years to come.

It's tucked into a quiet shopping center with easy parking and looks decent from the outside, but the inside was packed and loud enough that we could barely hear each other. The service felt completely indifferent from the start. I had made a reservation and noted that it was for a birthday, but the host didn't acknowledge either. Instead, we got an uninspired, "How many? Two? Follow me." That lack of attention continued throughout the meal. The bar was out of ingredients for my cocktail, so I ended up with an overpriced $14 glass of Zin. Worse, no one mentioned any shortages before we had time to look over the menu. After deciding what to order, my fiancé was told they were completely out of veal--even though veal is the base for around few different entrées. Appetizer: The beef carpaccio didn't match the menu description. When I pointed it out, the server simply brought some cheese to the table. It was just okay, but ultimately the best savory part of the meal. Both entrées were major disappointments. My shrimp scampi had rubbery, overcooked shrimp with okay garlic pasta that I could have made better at home. My fiancé's replacement chicken dish was heavily oversalted, with some pasta and vegetables on the side. The only bright spot was dessert. We grabbed a couple of treats from the display on our way out, and the mini cannoli and lemon gelato cheesecake were both great. Skip the homemade lemon cheesecake, though--it tasted more like barely sweetened yogurt. Overall, between sub-par , missing menu staples, and disappointing entrées, this was not the birthday dinner we were hoping for. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Still crazy after all these years!…read more I remember waaaayyyy back in the day when old-time footed porcelain bathtubs were cut out, padded and used for seating. I remember it being at the first OSF I ate at during a visit to San Rafael, San Francisco. I haven't seen an Old Spaghetti Factory anywhere since then. I must not be living right. Ha. The food is delicious. And plentiful. And fresh. A tad pricey for dining here often, but average-priced for obtaining good food at the present time. Considering the prices, we (2 people) shared a main course, which comes with minestrone soup or salad, a loaf of warm sourdough bread, and choice of vanilla ice cream or spumoni. We also added a dessert to split. We both felt fat and sassy after that meal. The Breast of Chicken Fettuccine ($28.50) featured tender and juicy chopped chicken breast, roasted mushrooms and broccoli florets, served over noodles smothered in a creamy Italian-forward Alfredo sauce. The minestrone soup with dipping bread slapped! To top it off for dessert, we tried the quasi after dinner cup of coffee-soaked ladyfingers dessert called Tiramisu ($10.60) , an authentic Italian dessert. Even though we split it, I know we both could've finished the whole dessert ourselves. :) There are so so many great-sounding dishes on this menu, so we surely will be returning for other meals, because this meal simply was divine.

The ice cream which has always been delicious was freezer burnt tasting. What happened? I mean the pasta has always been quite bland which is sad. But the bread and ice cream was always delicious and I'd let the kids have the pasta and I'd enjoy the bread salad and ice cream. The soup has always been bad. So sad, this place has a nice location and beautiful restaurant but horrible service apart from the manager being kind enough to help me with the bags.
