Also got a got their Margherita pizza which was also very good. Margherita was very good but loved the Tropic of Thunder with olives. Also highly recommend the garlic dip and the spicy garlic dip. The spicy garlic is seriously spicy so be careful.

I love Maker Pizza and have endless great things to say about them! Let's get started!…read more First off, I didn't even know that every Thursday they have slices for only $3.75 - what a steal! This includes the pepperoni, cheese, Frank's best, and spicy vodka pepperoni. Service here is super friendly, the spot is clean with staff constantly wiping tables and the floors during the winter time. I got a whole dr. pepperoni slice with extra cheese and it came piping hot, cooked perfectly and so delicious. Also got slices of their spicy vodka which is my favourite and a full 5/5 for me. Frank's best is a great change in flavour with goat cheese, mozz, caramelized onions, rosemary, organic honey and a sesame crust. Don't forget to also get their spicy creamy garlic dip and mix it well! Overall, I love this spot and think their pizzas are so good! Their crusts are delicious as well, especially the sesame crust.

Food 4/5 Service 3/5…read moreAmbiance 3/5 Food: We ordered a bunch of pizza's for our family. Bulgogi, AAA Steaky Smoked, Garlic Butter Chicken, & Veggie. We also ordered some chicken karage to try. I found the beef on the AAA Steaky Smoked & Bulgogi pizzas were very dry. Also the Garlic Butter Chicken didn't seem to have much garlic. This location is the only location near us now. I really wish the Yonge/Sheppard location hadn't closed. I thought their pizzas tasted better. Even though it is the same franchise. The veggie pizza tasted the best I think. But the rest of the family enjoyed the pizza & karage at leaste. Service: We were not impressed with the service. When we walked in to make an order it was just past 11.30am. The lady at the order window said we don't open until 12pm. Hubby was surprised as he had ordered at this location before 12pm in the past. Hubby felt she was a bit rude. So we went to a cafe nearby to hang out until 12pm. We came back & made our order. The lady who had told us to come back at 12pm was stomping around & put some other orders on the pick up table which were not ours. We ended up next door to order at Ikka Ramen (newly opened) to try their food as well. They were much nicer. Many came in to place an order & got their food before us. Made us wonder why our food was taking so long. We eventually got our pizzas but were not liking the service we received. Ambiance: Pizza Maru is actually combined with Katsuya now. The place is pretty ordinary looking. There are a bunch of booth tables. Most people seem to order takeout from here rather than dining in. The parking lot is not large & there are several potholes so be careful when driving in. I'm not sure if I would order here again. The service was surly & the pizza not as great.

Makes every bite extra delicious. Be aware though that this is messy to eat, even with a knife and fork. After paying for our order, we were given a menu with coupons to use for our next visit. There's no place to eat inside, as this is a take out only restaurant. You can eat outside the restaurant and they provide a garbage bin outside where you can discard any trash after eating.

Basically a take out/pick up place with a bench to sit/wait for walk-ins like myself. Notice many customers ordered in advance and picked up to avoid waiting time. As soon as you walk in, the smell of dough, pizzas, Italian cooking smacks you in the face like a Mack truck crashing through a marshmallow factory. I ordered the small pepperoni pizza and their "infamous" Panzerotti (fried of course). Waited 15mins, counter staff were friendly and helpful, answered my noob questions with the patience of a saint. Rushed home, skidding over the road ice and nearly grazing the huge snow banks on the side roads. Panzerotti where have you been all my life. Similar to Calzone but thinner and much larger. Golden crunchy goodness with a significant cheese pull. I choose the meat sauce filling (Xtra $2), well worth it. Staff recommended the garlic dip (Xtra $1.50), brought the Panzerotti to a higher level. I was tempted to eat the whole Panzerotti all at once, glad my brain warned me to eat only half which was more than enough. The small pizza had a good ratio of cheese/sauce to crust, every bite was pure joy. Pizza crust had a chewy, slightly salty flavor profile. Not the best, dough/crust above average, then again I'm a little bias hanging out in New York's Little Italy during my misspent youth gorging myself on New York style pizza slices. Mama, I think I found my favorite neighborhood Italian take out place. Can't wait to try their veal/chicken parmigiana sandwiches.

They recently gave it a face lift and made the restaurant cozy and very welcoming, and I must say it gets better and better every time I go there. They offer a wide range of pizzas, sandwiches and other Persian specialties like Ash-e Reshte, Halim and kookoo sabzi. The first few times I went I placed orders for my husband and I, I saw how quick and pleasant their service was so, I decided to order for a party I was having. I ordered large 6 pizzas and told the young man I would be there for 7 to pick up. When I arrived they had a few people in line ordering so I thought my order wasn't ready as it was their rush period. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the very sweet and lovely young lady at the front, she told me my order was ready, and they were putting the last pizza in the box! EXCELLENT time management. They offered my a side of their specialty olives on the house, and helped me take everything to my car. The pizzas all had generous amounts of toppings on them and were all full of flavour. My guest loved the pizzas and a few became regulars after trying it. They drizzle some ketchup which gives it a really awesome flavour. ASK FOR THEIR GARLIC SPECIAL SAUCE OMG!!!! IT IS SOOOO GOOD Thank you very much!!!!!

Amazing atmosphere and food to start off the weekend!!…read more We came on a friday night but there weren't a lot of people but also because it was game night. The lady who served us had exceptional knowledge of the menu, so we got couple things to share. Note: they also have daily special, so friday night was cocktail. We asked for everything to come at the same time (asian thing) instead of waiting. The grilled calamari came first and omg... it was sooo delicious!! Next off was the pepperoni flatbread, it was thin and crispy. Then the strip loin with truffle frites.. definitely something to die for!! Of course at the end we had to order their homemade pistachio tiramisu. So creamy and perfect! We would definitely come back especially for the high tea experience!

We made a semi-last-minute reservation the day before Father's Day weekend for a party of seven at 6:00 PM on a Saturday. Surprisingly, it wasn't very busy during our visit, aside from one larger group and a few couples, the dining room remained fairly quiet. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, though only about half of the venue is dedicated to dining. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between casual and upscale. It's not fine dining, but it's polished enough for a date night or celebration while still being comfortable for casual attire. Service was provided primarily by two servers throughout our meal. They were friendly, attentive, and consistently kept our water glasses topped up without being intrusive. The food was enjoyable, though not the best I've had at this price point. That said, it's a solid option for the area. The grilled calamari appetizer was cooked well, being tender rather than chewy, and nicely seasoned without being overly salty. The kale salad was a pleasant surprise, featuring a fresh, homemade-tasting dressing that complemented the kale perfectly without any bitterness. The garlic bread was absolutely loaded with garlic, which I loved, though it was softer than expected and could have benefited from a bit more toasting. For my main, I ordered the mushroom truffle pasta. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the generous amount of mushrooms was a highlight. Around the table, the spicy chicken rosé pasta was well received, though the spice level was quite mild. I recommend asking for their chili oil for an added kick. The aged striploin was cooked medium as requested, tender throughout, with nicely crisped edges. The accompanying truffle fries and truffle aioli were delicious. The clam linguine had good flavour but could have used a bit more sauce. The branzino was the surprise of the evening, as it arrived as a whole fish, which wasn't what we expected in this type of setting. While flavorful, it required navigating quite a few bones (wouldn't really recommend it for this reason, not the classiest dish to eat). Dessert was a mixed experience. The banana pudding was unfortunately a miss, with an unusual stretchy texture and an overly sweet flavour profile. In contrast, the house-made pistachio tiramisu was outstanding and easily the standout dessert of the meal. It's a must-order. The restaurant was clean and thoughtfully decorated, and the washrooms were well maintained. I especially appreciated the complimentary mouthwash, a small but memorable touch that added to the overall experience. Note: They change their menu from time to time!
