Love this place and now they are back open after covid and better than ever! We had the Margarita pizza and a chicken Caesar. The chicken Caesar had a drizzle of balsamic which was a great addition. Desert we had pizzuke which was a warm cookie with ice cream and chocolate and we asked for Carmel too! Yum!!! Had wine off their very affordable and delish wine list. Next time I am going for the cheese curds. So happy they are open - but only for reservations - no take out! Support our local awesome Tahoe Donner business! You'll be glad you did.

Great pizza. Crust is chewy around the edges and is great with ranch dressing to finish it off.

Just a wonderful place for pizza, beer, and a really good time. (You don't have to live in Tahoe Donner to eat here)

Great food and service. Pizza was plenty for a few of us. Veggie had a nice kick. Had music from a live band playing, but got rained out

Too greasy pizza. But cool ambience and not a bad spot to grab a bite to eat after a day of ski.

We each got a Pizzete (perfect size for one person + leftovers and you get to customize it however you like) and the Caesar salad. Hands down the BEST Caesar I have ever had! The dressing was so flavorful, love when you can taste the garlic and anchovy in there. They also pleasantly surprised us with 2 big garlic sticks on top of the salad. Was a great meal and very easy to bring home and eat after a busy day. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area!

We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the bbq chicken pizza. They were okay. The chicken parmigiana came with pesto pasta, which was a bit bland, but the chicken parmigiana itself had so much extra cheese and sauce, you can make the pesto pasta a regular spaghetti. The bbq chicken pizza was okay. I liked the bbq sauce, but my boyfriend wish there was more of it. Get the pasta bread! Or order an entree that comes with it, like we did with the chicken parmigiana! My boyfriend also got some beers, but he wanted a glass of wine, which apparently they ran out.

First- the salad was DELICIOUS medium spicy, sweet and peanut. Lots of flavors. Not too many noodles, just the right amount of lettuce and cabbage. Second- the pizza was hot and melted, full of toppings, sweet and salty. The edges were crispy sweet cheese? The sauce was interesting not like regular pizza. The staff was cheerful and welcoming. There was a bunch of families, and even a birthday party. The chandeliers were cool, like from something in the past. Big tables, good for groups. Liked the metal cups and carafes of water. 100% recommend

While I do like Best Pies, it's hard to rate because the experience ranges anywhere from 2 to 5…read morestars depending on the day, and the inconsistency is the biggest drawback. Generally speaking everything I've gotten here has tasted good and I'm a big fan of the new sourdough crust pizza. However, I ordered take out for my most recent visit and they forgot the basil, which is significant at $2/topping, and more importantly - didn't cut the pizza in half according to the sides. I don't eat pork but my partner does, and yet we wound up with mixed veggies & pepperoni because it wasn't cut down the middle - a pretty basic ask when you order two different sides for the pie. I was shorted both a topping and slice of pizza because of that, before I could even consider how it tasted. When we do dine in for a meal the staff is nice and I like the interior upgrades, but again it kind of varies depending on the night. If Best Pies was always performing at the 5 star level we know it's capable of, it would no doubt be our #1 go to in town, but it's frustrating to never know or trust what you're going to get. After tonight's mishap with some basic pizza handling, it will definitely make me pause before deciding where to order from in town next time. However, Best Pies is still a place I want to see succeed and have enjoyed eating at over many years.

Ordered a beet salad, meat lovers pizza and a flight of beer tastings (4 flavors) First off the Server was wonderful! Very warm and very friendly to talk with. She was always checking on me to make sure my water glass was full and how b my meal was. Super nice person!! The beet salad is "To Die For!" The dressing on this fabulous! So tasty it's addicting! The beets, candied walnuts and cheese mixed with the arugula was such a fantastic and delicious combo! I'd drive 4 hours just for this salad! The all meat pizza is delicious! The tangy tomato sauce is a very welcomed change of flavor when compared to other pizzas. The sour dough crust is a welcome change too! Very tasty with the tasty meat toppings! The beer flight I had was delicious! I liked the first one a lot! I'm not a very big drinker but I liked the first one. The stout is very delicious too with a fairly strong coffee flavor. All the beers were very yummy! Great ambiance to just hang out all day or night long passing the day drinking tasty beer and eating delicious food! GREAT: wings, fries, beet salad NOT GREAT: Fish and chips (they're fish sticks) chicken parm sandwich (they're chicken tenders), pizza (sure is a pretty pizza oven though) Also, the dining room is small, and too often the setting for employee drama played out in full view of customers. Maybe schedule a team meeting and hash it out there? Things don't usually improve when the employees are more self-involved than they are concerned about customers. That's not why we visit.

This is the best pizza in North Lake Tahoe…read more Dopo might deliver better pizzas occasionally, but they suffer in the quality control area and often deliver mediocre pizzas. Glenshire Pizza's crust and crispy pizza center is just lovely. Their brussel sprouts are great, while their calamari is only okay.

I really want to love Glenshire Pizza since it's practically next door to me, but every time I have…read moretried it over the years, I always regret it. The quality is super inconsistent, but in general has not been good, ranging from terrible to mid. Most recently, I ordered a Nashville hot chicken sando, but the ingredients are actually different on the menu and the order now -- I was expecting swiss cheese and instead got about a half pound of mayo! Like literally more mayo than the amount of cream cheese I would put on a bagel (and it was on both sides like that). The sandwich itself continually fell apart when trying to eat it, too, so even though the taste wasn't terrible (after scraping off all that mayo...) it was such a horrible eating experience. There are always issues like this -- you just never know what you're really going to get. Not to mention the chicken was so thin they used two patties for the sandwich instead of a single piece of thicker and high quality chicken, like you'd expect anywhere else. We've gotten pizza undercooked and burnt and drowning in grease puddles, penne when I ordered rigatoni, and lots of other sad problem food. If the business wasn't local, we would have stopped giving them chances long ago, but we held out hope for a long time and now I'm ready to just move on from what has proven to be a guaranteed mess. You also never know when it will be ready. I have no idea why they ask for your number to text you when it's ready because that hasn't come through on time even once. Tonight I got the message my order was ready to be picked up about 45 minutes after I had already been home with my food, so there really isn't a point to the system when it's that useless. The place itself is nice and I am sure the people are lovely, so it really sucks that I just can't support this local business. I've been thinking they would finally get their act together for years and unfortunately, it gets worse over time if anything. Really a bummer because we would all love to have a restaurant in Glenshire, and because all of the issues people have pointed out wouldn't even be that difficult to solve. I genuinely hope this becomes a place I can recommend one day, but there is a reason I avoid it at all costs despite being the most convenient option by a significant margin.
