Me and my girlfriend had a really nice experience here. We shared a half pepperoni and half pepperoni sausage pizza with olives on the side and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The crust and dough were probably my favorite part. We also had a Sprite and Cherry Coke with it and the pizza was a really good size for the price. We still had leftovers to take home after only a couple slices each. The service was really nice too. Our waiter was super friendly, even though I didn't catch her name because she went on break. The restaurant itself is in a really cool area by the ski resort with a bunch of other spots around it, and the inside had a really nice atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd come back to. read more

Got a recommendation for their Chipotle Bloody Mary and so I stopped in for the drink but stayed for the pizza! I got the margarita pizza and it was delicious! Some traditions just shouldn't be messed with. Both dishes absolutely knocked it out of the park. The Greek salad with shrimp was just as impressive, fresh, crisp, and a great balance alongside the pizza. It's one of those meals where halfway through you're already thinking about the next time you'll be back. The service here has always been top notch. Every visit I've had the staff has been professional, friendly, and welcoming. It's the kind of consistent hospitality that keeps people coming back year after year. Parking in the village area is usually pretty easy to access, and the surrounding scenery at Northstar is just incredible. I was here a few weeks ago and they charged me 15% gratuity automatically to pick up a pizza. Then when I went to pay, they had another tipping menu where they wanted me to tip them more. Screw that and screw this business. Pay your employees a livable wage. Don't try to shame your customers into paying your employees wages because you refuse to do so. If you can't function as a business by paying your employees appropriately, then you don't have a functional business model. read more

While staying at Northstar we decided to try out the pizza at the village. So glad we did! They have so many options for their pizzas and they are generous with the meat toppings. The crust was thin and crispy (without being burnt), which is exactly what we were looking for. The salad was fresh. We enjoyed our appetizer which was a flavorful creamy hummus with herbed flatbread. The buffalo wings were also fantastic. Service was quick and staff was friendly. Inside has fun, rustic decor. Genuinely great pizza place. I recommend the 4 Cheese and the Blanco, just my personal likes. Don't expect a bargain deal since it is located in a resort village but the quality makes up for it. Hit it if you feel the crave for good pizza after some good honest times down the slopes. read more

The Spinach Artichoke dip was just adequate. It had a strong garlic flavor that really distracted from the flavor. Our pizza was kind of bland, the crust was a little tough and the sauce was not exciting. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's nice place but the food wasn't exciting. If you love thin crust pizza, this place is for you!! We stopped here on a whim after smelling the pizza outside, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. They have bar pie style pizza, with a cracker like crust. It came out piping hot and perfectly crisp. A great place to sit outside and enjoy the northstar village. They also have a lot of great bar food style appetizers on the menu, and we ended up trying their soup of the day, chicken bacon chowder, which was really great as well. Visited on a Monday, when we arrived we were sat instantly which was nice, there was only one other table there so we figured service would be fast. Restaurant did start to fill up as we were checking out tho- plan ahead. It took about 10 minutes for someone to finally approach our table- no drink order asked for just asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. We put in food orders, food came up pretty quickly. The calamari was ok, mozzarella sticks were interesting- not sure if they used a different cheese but it was almost too soft to be mozzarella, kind of runny? Pizza was pretty tasty. nice and crispy. Throughout the entirety of our time there we were only approached to take orders and then when we had to wave someone down for our check. It was unfortunate because we were sat super close to the bar and there were 2 employees who were just sitting on their phones who would get up occasionally to help the bartender. The restaurant is located in a nice little plaza center and seems to get busy after all the snowboarders come down so plan ahead but know service will be slow regardless if there's a lot of people or not. read more

Got a sweater because it was cold (which took buddy, the host, very long to get to), then he proceeded to charge $12 auto-grat because of our party of 6 outside (completely separate charge from dinner). Was very happy with our waitress however, she didn't have an attitude like the other guys. Overall great place but the "bro" culture is lackluster. read more

Fantastic dinner here. We chanced on Rubicon when in North lake Tahoe a few weeks back and had a great dinner.. we'll definitely come back again! Rubicon Pizza is probably the best place for food in the northstar area. The service is great and efficient. Rubicon Pizza was pretty good and enjoyable for the area. It's not something I'd return for, but I'll eat it if it's available. Surprisingly, the memorable items were the pasta here! I'd gladly come back for the pasta. Big Thank You to our server Adriana. Came here for the first time for a friend's birthday. There were 6 of us. We sat outside in the shade (it was still hot in direct sun), with the Saturday night music going. It was a great setting. Due to allergies, we all had to order different piazzas. I do not have allergies, but one of our friends can't eat onions and we were going to share a pizza. I ordered the "Rubicon" with no roasted onions. I made that very clear to Adriana. When the pizza's came, our pizza had onion's on it. I immediately pointed out to Adriana and she verified the mistake. Without hesitation, she ordered us a new pizza. I asked if she wanted to take the "mistake" pizza back and she said no. We did not eat any of that pizza because we were waiting to eat with our friend. The next pizza came within 10-15 minutes and it was a very busy night. I actually thought that was pretty quick. Adriana gave us a box for the 'mistake" pizza and she said take it home. As for the Rubicon, it was great. I like thin crust because you can just fold the pizza over. It had great flavor and there was plenty of meat. We had a large pizza and there were only 2 slices left. Our friends like their pepperoni and their gluten free Hawaiian pizza's. I could see why this place was packed. I would def go back to this restaurant. As we were leaving I asked a gentleman to point out the ice cream shop nearby. It turned out it was the manager. He was very helpful and pointed out the ice cream shop. Came here on Sunday evening to enjoy dinner while staying at Northstar. We ordered a cheese pizza for my grandson (picky eater). I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, my husband had a salad and our son ordered the chicken wrap. Our food came out pretty quick. Oh and I can't forget the pitcher of watermelon mojito. I enjoyed every bite of my bolognese. My husband helped me eat it, there was so much of it. My picky eater grandson almost ate the whole pizza. That was definitely a thumbs up from him. My son enjoyed his wrap. As we were enjoying the last of our watermelon pitcher, the power went out in the whole area. Thankfully, we just finished. The servers were great and so accommodating. I enjoyed the spinach and artichoke dip with the pita chips! I thought that the pizza (Fire Roasted Medley this time, I've ordered other times from here as well but usually margherita and meat pizza). I know that there were veggies on here but the ratio could be better imo, there were lots of bell peppers which could be toned down a bit since every bite was pretty much pepper or tomato. For $12, I wish the portion was larger though. We also ordered a large margherita pizza to share between 5 people as we just wanted a small snack to hold us down before dinner. This was my first time trying margherita pizza and it was pretty good. Super heavy on the tomato with a nice basil and herbal flavor. Might not be the best option for those who don't like tomatoes though. We were quickly seated upon arrival and the staff were pretty attentive. Seemed to be quite busy even at around 4PM. Went today to get some lunch after a long day of swimming and being at the lake was really looking foward to enjoy some pizza. Everything was going great until the very end. As i paid for the bill which was around $206 i gave a $5 dollar tip which i didn't have the obligation to tip but i still did. As we walked out one of the servers who served us( only took our order and took his break right after and not letting it be known didn't check in on is either. 2 other workers did though they were making sure we needed everything). As we left the establishment he comes out the restaurant and confronted us about the tip i gave him. He said and i quote " $200 bill and only a $5 tip was my service not good why such a low tip". So then i told him " what did you want a bigger tip?" so then he was kind of implementing that he should have gotten a bigger tip. To which one of the people i was with gave him a $20 bill out of her purse. I think his reaction and overall attitude was unnecessary and very unprofessional you don't go out and ask for a bigger tip. no hate on the establishment just that employee. read more
