Run for this pizza. Butternut squash, cranberries, goat cheese, roasted red peppers explosion of yummyness.

I don't know how I didn't know about this gem at the lake. What a cute place. I love taking my visitors here. The restaurant is right on the lake. A short walk to common beach. I dream of the butternut squash pizza. OMG. It's sooooo good. Everything else is lap delish. Great prices and service too. I need to go back again!!

Food was AMAZING. Great view, quick service and yummy cocktails. This place deserves better ratings. I got the fish and chips. It was so fresh, flaky and cooked perfectly.

Love the ambience of this lakefront restaurant! We ordered a Caesar Salad and a large Margarita Pizza. The service was really slow. We waited over a half an hour for our food and waited again for water refills and our check. The Caesar Salad was spot on with the taste and freshness. I honestly couldn't get enough! It was a fairly large portion enough for three of us to share along with the large pizza. The pizza was good but next time, I would definitely order a different pizza. They had a wide selection of roasted squash on pizza.... Next time!

Worth going for the view! Gorgeous to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful lunch next to the lake. They have some shade on the patio as well so it doesn't get too toasty on super sunny days. Service is decent but not over the top friendly. Food was ok - you won't find real inventive items on the menu but for classic staples it's a good fit. Caesar salad was overly dressed, and hoagie was tricky to eat as it was plated.

This place has some great pizza ('Za)! The ambiance is a perfect little cabin feel with an absolutely amazing view of the lake. The service was nice and quick even with large parties before us and the servings were generous. We will definitely return when next at this side of the lake.

The to go spaghetti we didn't see until we go to room. Those meatballs were so so dry.

Za's location of course is 5 stars, but I think tourists come in and get served absolute dumpster fire of food and pretend it's good because it's Lake Tahoe, and that's how we end up with a restaurant that has over 3.5 stars instead of 2. We sat on the patio, and our sever Hannah was great from beginning to end. It wasn't too busy. I ordered the beef wagyu ravioli and it was not good. The beef was dry and the ravioli was dumped in a wine sauce. Hannah took it off our bill. Also wtf was the bread. My friend tried it I did not because there was some kind of pepper in it. My friend said it was chewy and it was served with like a creamy thousand island dressing. Huh? My friend ordered the burger. The fries were mushy. I had the smoked chicken pasta and it was DRY. Dry chicken, dry pasta. No flavor. And the asparagus looked like brains. Congealed mozzarella covered every inch. I didn't eat it and they offered me something else. We decided on spaghetti to go. I didn't open the to go box until we got to our room. The meatballs were dry and honestly visually the food looked terrible. Meatballs were black, the pasta had little sauce and again congealed cheese. Listen, I sound like a Karen. We were lovely to Hannah and she was lovely to us. I was embarrassed to not eat food because that's my worst nightmare to draw that kind of attention. Honestly I'm probably the most upset by that. 99% of the time if I don't like something I box that shit to go and either my kids eat it or it goes in trash in the privacy of my home. Couldn't even pretend and that was horrible. Usually I also allow for great service and location to bump up ratings but I think that is what lulls people into the belief they might enjoy the food. No. That being said we did not eat pizza. That could be the draw here but I can't speak to it. Overall, the owners of this place should consider how great it would be to be the whole package. Location, service, AND food. But I guess when you run a business in a tourist town you can get away with less.

Wow! The lamb chops, bread, eggplant, tea and jerk chicken was all really good. We were seated at the bar on a Sunday night after the music concert. Everyone was friendly and the lake views were amazing. Definitely come and try the local cider from Portland and any specials.

My friends and I came a bit after sunset on a weekday and were seated indoors immediately. Service was friendly and quick! Yinzer by B.C. Pizza: This was super flavorful and packed with toppings, with the salami, pepperoncini, and herb vinaigrette standing out in the dish. The large size is huge; we were able to finish our other dishes but only a bit more than half of the pizza for our group of three. Wedge Salad: The presentation was unique, and the salad was refreshing. We loved the bacon and oven-roasted tomatoes. Pepper-Crusted Duck Breast: We appreciated the quality of the duck breast, which was paired well with the sauce and cherries, hazelnut, and goat cheese. The pepper taste was slightly too strong for our taste. The price was on the higher end, but solid food and a good dining experience.

Unfortunately a waste of money. The pizza could have stayed in the oven a bit longer. There was hardly any tomato sauce on it, but too much cheese with a rubbery consistency. Overall, the pizza was completely tasteless.

What a lovely place here in Tahoe City. We ordered the Pesto Pizza, Chicken Flatbread, and the Fish Sandwich. All were great, the Fish Sandwich and Pizza were outstanding. We'll be back. The Chef (BC) is from Pittsburgh and that made this place even more special.

Luckily when half our group arrived in Tahoe, we were able to snag a dinner reservation last-minute and I was able to try Sylva-- 10000% worth it. I booked a 9pm dinner reservation for our group of 5 on Resy. We realized onsite that they list their closing hour as 9pm, but our host quickly clarified that their last SEATING is 9pm (I imagine this was probably implemented due to last-minute walk-ins before actual closing? lol) and joked that they formally close whenever the last party is done (presumably a couple hours after? 11pm? They didn't say). Regardless, our group was relieved to know that the reservation online wasn't a glitch and that we weren't burdening them unnecessarily LOL. Cozy and casual. While a touch upscale in ambiance and dishes, the dress is informal and the staff are welcoming. Once seated, service was exceedingly courteous and friendly. Our drinks and dishes came out shortly after ordering. Some highlights: - HOUSE BAKED SOURDOUGH FOCCACIA (so fluffy and delectable we ordered this twice!) - CRISPY TEQUENOS (must-have for duck lovers) - WHOLE BRANZINO (flavorful and buttery, just heavenly) We mainly shared things family-style. Everything was so delicious I hardly had a moment to snap pictures before they were inhaled. At the end of our meal, the staff brought out a complimentary panama cotta cheesecake and candle-- SO DELICIOUS!! And so unexpected... I didn't specify that it was my bday on the Resy, but they still brought it out-- likely at the behest of my friends lol. It was a lovely start to the beginning of a wonderful birthday weekend. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

What we did witness was the complaining party confronting and harassing the family with children, which was unnecessary, rude, and completely uncalled for. We have been coming to Wolfdale's since we were children ourselves, and it has always been one of our favorite restaurants because of its warm, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service. In fact, we dine at SPOON every evening throughout our entire visits. That's how much we love it! What makes SPOON exceptional is its signature fresh, organic cuisine, where every dish is specialty designed with incredible attention to detail and elevated, memorable flavors. Each plate feels creative, thoughtful, and uniquely crafted rather than simply prepared. The cuisine is a reflection of the two owners--both chefs--who bring more than 25 years of culinary expertise each, with a passion centered on flavor, creativity, quality, and organic ingredients. Their experience and dedication are evident in every bite. The setting is wonderful year-round. SPOON consistently delivers an experience that feels personal and welcoming. During the summer, the beautiful outdoor patio is a perfect place to dine--and yes, it's wonderfully dog friendly! In winter, the atmosphere transforms into a cozy, inviting indoor dining experience. Another bonus: you can bring your own favorite bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal. Photos are examples of what we ordered. Our starter: Soup of the Moment - changes regularly- Mexican Squash & Beef Soup with verdolagas and roasted poblano peppers, and lime marinated chickpeas. Our dinner order: Organic Chicken Breast, herb marinated, skin-on breast, oyster mushrooms, roasted potatoes & Caribbean jerk pesto. Chipotle Rubbed Organic Legs, brined, rubbed & roasted leg quarters with chickpea salad, avocado salsa verde & shaved radish. Side Pan-Roasted Fish - King Salmon Linguini with Roasted Garlic Tomatoes & Parmesan For dessert: Sweetness of the moment - Raspberry Crumble Cake with whipped cream and raspberry compote. To take home for our midnight snacks we ordered both of their specialty signature deserts: Chocolate Truffle Medallions, (3) dark chocolate ganache medallions, with coconut, almond meal & a touch of sea salt. Million Dolla' Slice, layered buttery shortbread bar, salty caramel, dark chocolate ganache & toasted almonds. For us, SPOON isn't just a restaurant--it's a delicious culinary experience.
