Located just west of Astor on the left off Hwy. 40 this little pizza shop has a lot going for it, including support by the local community. After looking around the area this spot seemed like the best option to dine on some delicious pizza. We walked in a little after 6:00 PM on Saturday evening to find a completely empty restaurant, after a very friendly and welcoming greeting we found a table in the back corner window side. While we viewed the menu we were offered cold drinks from the stand alone cooler located next to the entrance - the canned Dr. Peppers were ice cold and refreshing. The kitchen seemed busy for take out and delivery and the phone rang non-stop, as the orders came in the staff remained totally focus and attentive. We decided on a small pepperoni and sliced sausage pizza, we were somewhat hesitant to get the small but being there were only two sizes available it seemed the right size after being reassured by our server that the six slices were sized right even for two hungry people and she was spot on. After placing our order we were told us it would arrive fresh from the oven within 15 - 20 minutes and that was accurate as well and okay by us. The restaurant soon began to fill up and it became apparent that Saturday night dinner was just beginning, food steadily came out the kitchen while the takeouts continued even as the tables filled - our pizza arrived and it was obvious that this place was a gem and the community loves everything this restaurant is offering. Pizza - a perfect thin crust, crispy but still tender, the sauce was measured edge to edge but definitely not over sauced which I loved. The toppings of pepperoni and sausage was plentiful with great stretchy cheese and all of the ingredients were the perfect ratio and served piping hot on a broken down pizza box -the presentation was definitely a little rustic but effective being it's all about the food here. Update. 10/22. This little place makes great pizza. The best in the Altoona, Umatilla and Astor area. Sauce is just right. Cheese is very good. Toppings are sufficient (not stingy) and tasty. I recommend their pickup or delivery. Their "dining room " is small and noisy. If you are not in to pizza, their chicken parmigiana is very good. Their antipasto salad is good. read more

I went here a couple years ago at my trip to juniper springs and I gotta say, it's awesome! The food was absolutely awesome and delicious, the interior was very nice and welcoming, and the ambiance was perfect for a family dinner. the service is awesome as our food only took around 5-10 minutes. this place needs more attention than it has. read more

I have only ever ordered delivery. But the food is always hot and fresh. Staff has always been very kind and helpful. Pizza tends to be a bit greasy, but is always very good. Calzones and Stromboli as well. read more

Wow! What an amazing find. We were camping at Juniper Springs, headed to Glen Springs for the afternoon and we were ready for a nice lunch. We came across the reviews and pictures and decided to try it out. This is a seriously delicious pizza place. Great pizza. They also have fabulous wings, mozzarella sticks, caprese salad and fries like no other! The owner makes everything from scratch we found out and you can tell. Everything was excellent. Our 11 year old son who might be the most particular foodie we know, was so impressed he kept telling the owner it was the best food ever. To win him over is a lot! We ended the meal with ice cream not to mention the food even looked commercial worthy without fake things in it. we truly recommend the caprese salad and mozzarella sticks mixed together! read more

This is a great addition to the area! The pizza is outstanding and the prices are great! The restaurant looks very nice inside and is well taken care of, and the glimpse of the kitchen I got was clean and well lit. We ordered a large meat lover's pizza and 20 mild wings and it was more than enough for 2 people with a big appetite, had half a dozen wings and 1/2 a pizza leftover. I would definitely reccomend that if you are in the area you make a stop by and give them a try. Seemed like fresh ingredients and good dough, and it wasn't like a lot of other places where you get more dough than toppings. The ratio was for sure heavy on toppings, and the sliced meatballs gave the meat lovers a nice twist. Check this place out and see what you think. read more
