Pizza Papalis has Great service, kind workers, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone who is into Italian food, pizza, or spicy food. The boneless wings and the thin crust pizza are amazing. Once you try this place I guarantee you wont regret it.

First time to this location. It is smaller inside than the others we have been. The regular salad (Antipasto) was enough for 4 people. It was fresh with many chopped pieces inside. A bit too much red onion, but cut large enough to ignore. But we came for the pizza! This is such a rare treat our hopes high. Not a disappointment!! We love this style deep dish. It is not greasy but smothered in a delicious pizza sauce. The cheese abounds, but know it is on the bottom! Medium pizza fed four of us with some leftover. Can't wait already to come back.

Came in Jan 30 at 3. We were ordering from the Pizza Papalis side but from the minute we walked in the door, even the Rio Wraps woman was pleasant and greeted us. The front end was very hospitable. Smiling, Kind and asked all the right questions to get our order right. I don't know why this place isn't busier .. because when I took the first bite of wings, my socks were blown off LOL! Michigan Bourbon Wings, Peach Pepper Wings. OH MY GAWD. This place has my wing business for life. Even the pizza was 20/10! Now if only they sold alcohol, this would be my sports bar of choice!! Highly recommend this joint. Come hungry!!

Omg who doesn't love this pizza place? It's one of the best, if not the best, pizza places in Detroit! Taste just like Chicago's deep dish pizza. The marinara sauce is on point! I'm never disappointed. We had my wedding rehearsal dinner at the downtown location. My mom really enjoyed her thin crust pizza...

You know damn well Yelpers that the number 1 rule about doing these reviews is this: NEVER DELIVER. It's just not the right way to experience it. You need the conversation, you need the interior, you need the cashier asking if you'd like to tip. (You know I'm joking, they don't ask. My fellow Berklians know that I ALWAYS tip 20%) When I walked in this couple already looked like they got into it. Atleast I know that if it's not love, or sadness being put into my pizza; it's ANGER. Beat that dough and smash those tomatoes. Slap that mootz onto that fresh pie, spank it a little. If your head doesn't look the color of a San Marzano making my pie... don't even bother. The crank hands me and my girlfriend the garlic bread. Bro. This might actually be some of the best bread I've ever had. It's like Canes with their sauce. Garlic bread is an incredibly overlooked component to a good pizza and I'm so happy that they put there ALL into making the best possible cheese bread. So delicious, it melts! The pizza was quite floppy, albeit, that was probably on me for leaving it in the box for more than 10 minutes. But the crust is chewy, the taste is pretty good. Tomatoes were a little bland, but that's probably a compliment to the cheese; like, hey look at me, f*** the tomato- look at me! I'm buffalo mozzarella, look how good I am. The penne pasta we got was VERY sweet, and cooked to perfection! The sauce was so sweet it almost tasted like it was TOO sweet. I literally had to add SALT to it like when should anyone ever have to do that to something overpowered by sweetness? Me of course cause clearly I wasn't thinking. It turned out to be spectacular though. I liked Grano, pretty good pizza at a monstrous price. But you can't deny, CLEANEST kitchen in the whole U.S. and definitely a lot of care put into their craft. There are 100% some maestro's coming out of that walk-in everyday, and like Tony Soprano's psychiatrist said, hope comes in many different forms. I love Italian-America, it's so dedicated. (4/5)

The flavor was so good that I could easily see myself wanting it every day. That said, it's definitely on the expensive side for a latte. I'd get it again as a special treat, but it's not something I could get regularly. The space is cute and modern, but it's definitely more of a grab-and-go type of spot. It's a small space with very limited seating and it gets pretty crowded, which is understandable given how popular it seems to be. Because of that, it's not really a place where you'd want to settle in to work or hang out for a while. The only seating available is a small counter by the window with a few stools, and the shop can feel a bit hectic when you first walk in. One thing I also appreciated was the bathroom. It was very nice, clean, and private, which is always a plus. Note: They start serving lunch (sandwiches, pizza) at 11:00 am.

The location of the store is in a pretty tight small shopping center. Parking can be limited when it's really busy. The only seating option is along the front of the store. There also isn't much space inside the store but I did appreciate that it didn't take too long to get our drinks and pizza. We ordered the hot honey burrata pizza, tiramisu latte and agent latte. Esthetically, the tiramisu latte was pretty but the whipped cream is so thick I didn't feel like the combination of flavors mixed very well. The agent latte was okay. The pizza...I had such high hopes but ultimately wasn't very impressed. I'm not sure if I would've felt differently if we had been able to eat it right away. But almost $30 for the pizza (size is slightly bigger than a trader joes frozen pizza), we didn't think it was worth it. They did have a refrigerated section of pre made pastas and salads that looked good. And they do sell quite a few other products (coffee, collagen powders, etc).

As a New Haven pizza fan, the REAL kind, I was extremely disappointed. I know that after having eaten the real New Haven (Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern), I need to tighten down my expectations, but come on! They have these beautiful ovens, a nice, clean, and pleasant place and they turn out what I would consider pizza no better, perhaps a little less good than Hungry Howies thin crust pizza! New Haven is supposed to be crispy and chewy, NOT soggy. I tried Farmington Hills a few months ago and ate in, then last week tried Birmingham and carried out. For those of you thinking that my carry-out experience may have been bad due to the 3 miles I had to drive home, but I've carried out a LOT of pies from a LOT of locations, and I DO take that into account. There are some positives: The ingredients were impeccable. Fresh, high-quality cheese and the mushrooms were done really well. The pepperoni was of good quality but nothing worth writing home about. There are a lot of great pepperonis in the area. The doneness was great. It wasn't over- or undercooked. The flavor was good, but not, as some have said, amazing. In both cases, the crust was limp and soggy, NOT chewy and crispy. Not in the least. I don't mind if it's a little bit floppy, but not like this. An analogy I might give is to compare Tomatoes Apizza to Modern Apizza in actual New Haven is like comparing Jets Pizza to Loui's. Jet's is fine, but Loui's! (If you know, you know). To me, Modern in New Haven is at par, and not to be sacrilegious to our beloved Detroit Style, with Loui's or Palazzo Di Pizza, so it's not a style issue. My two experiences were both the same, so I don't know what to think. I'll give them one more try at some point.

My 83 yr old mom was hosting an event for neighborhood kids/parents and wanted to serve pizza and salad to the kids and their parents. I called this location and spoke with Armand a couple of times to understand how many slices are in each size and to get recommendations. The day before ordering I spoke with Milad, the owner, and he couldn't have been more personable, helpful, accommodating and kind. He immediately understood how important this event was to my mom. I placed the order the day before the event and spoke with them the morning of the event. Everything was perfect. Milad's lovely mother delivered the order at the exact time requested and promised. The pizzas were piping hot and the salad was crisp, cold and fresh. The guests all raved about how great the pizza was AND how fresh and crisp the caesar salad was (they were obsessed with the salad dressing too). There were no leftovers-none! Several guests asked which location we'd ordered from so they could order from them. Milad really knows how to successfully run and manage a business. Please support this business! The Cheese and the Pepperoni pizzas are great but the Chicken Marg pizza is life affirming! And by all means order a salad! Support this small family run business! Thank you Milad, Armand and Milad's mom.
