First, I'd like to start off saying the employees who worked today ( Aug. 16, 2026 ) did an absolute amazing job. They were very friendly, welcoming and polite. It was my first time ever going to cottage Inn. I've never heard of it before so I wanted to try it. It is most definitely the best pizza place out there. It beats Little Caesars. It beats hungry Howie's. It beats Dominoes this needs to be the number one pizza joint. I highly recommend this place and I am most definitely coming back for any type of pizza. First time ordered a deep dish pizza and liked it. The medium deep dish comes with 6 slices.I had customized the Roma pesto to add grilled chicken, pineapple and jalapeños. The chicken was amazing. The sides were quite well done which works for me. Only thing that didn't sit well with me was that the sides were a little salty for my taste. Also, since the description said a drizzle/swirl of pesto , I was looking forward to that but didn't feel it as much. The menu looks quite extensive and price is slightly cheaper than other places I have been ordering from. Guess this will be one of my go-tos for pizza night for trying out couple more things at-least :) read more

Pizza night at Cottage Inn is becoming a whole thing for my family -- and I'm not mad about it. We did a quick online order and pickup, and even though it was a bustling evening, the whole process was super smooth. The place was lively, a little loud, and full of that Friday night pizza energy. We didn't stay long, but the staff was helpful and polite when we came in to grab our order. Now onto the good stuff: the pizza. We've got a little tradition where each of us gets our own, going back to when my mom insisted we didn't share (childhood picky eater problems ). Since we all need gluten-free, that's what we went with -- and let me just say, this was the best gluten-free pizza I've had so far. I built mine with sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, bacon, spinach, and green bell pepper (no cheese), and it hit every mark. The thin crust had that perfect crisp with a tiny bit of chew -- so satisfying. Honestly worse experience ever I placed an order over the phone gave them my address same address I've ordered more times then I can count expecting to get pizza for me & my daughters only to get a call 40 minutes later stating I'm "out of the delivery zone" (I live 9 minutes away) when I asked to speak to the manager because this was ridiculous & not true he refused to speak to me I will not be going back again it's absolutely ridiculous I'd rather put a frozen pizza in next time then wait 40 odd minutes & get told it's not coming crazy thing is I planned on tipping very well If I could rate it 0 stars I would read more

Arrived at our hotel 11 after a long drive and was thankful to find something other than fast food still open! We picked up a few subs, a greek salad and breadsticks to go. The salad was terrific- romaine lettuce, plenty of olives, beets and banana peppers, tomatoes and feta. A delicious fresh option. We also loved the breadsticks- soft, nice taste and plenty of marinara for dipping. The subs were okay. The meatball was better than the Italian. Plenty of good ingredients, it's just the bread wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Based on the breadsticks I think pizza would have been a better choice. I ordered ahead at 3pm to be picked up at 5pm. When I got in I was I told it wasn't ready. I sat for nearly 30 minutes waiting for my food to be ready. It was 2 pizzas and 1 inn stix. When I got my pizzas, the one box leaked hot oil all over my arm and my pants. I went back inside to ask for a new box. I stated; "hey man this pizza just leaked hot oil all over. Can I just get the pizza put into a new box". The man at the register chuckled at me and asked "you just want a new box". Like yes I do. They got it into a new box and I went on my way. My pants were ruined, my arm hurt, and they laughed at me. When I got home and opened the pizza boxes both pizzas and sticks were burnt. I didn't bother calling the store, I would not be returning. I tried Cottage Inn several times out in Lansing. I like their variety of gourmet pizzas and their even bigger selection of toppings. They also different crusts. With toppings, if a pizza place offers sun dried tomatoes (SDT) they are half way there with me. I tried SDT on a pizza many years ago during college and it's been a rare to find favorite topping ever since. A simple pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms and SDTs is a great option, and Cottage Inn delivers at a decent price. I've also had this same pizza with a drizzle of Buffalo sauce and Blue Cheese added. That one kind of overruns the SDT flavor, so next time I may have to just skip the tomatoes. I've also tried their Chicken and Artichoke. The chicken is usually too dry but this was still a good, unusual pizza. Finally, we tried the franchise in Auburn Hills and got similar tasty results. On that occasion we went with a regular pizza (pepperoni, mushrooms and SDTs) and a Traditional Vegetarian. Everyone enjoyed the pizza and agreed we may have a new favorite high(er) end pizza place. Buddy's is too expensive and Kruse and Muer is pricey and inconsistent. The kids don't mind Little Caesars or Hungry Howies (ew!) but for a better pizza I'm happy we found Cottage Inn. read more

I ordered from Cottage Inn in Auburn Hills for a work function. There were about 30 people in attendance and they all loved it! We ordered trays of lasagna, mostaccioli, and a large Greek salad. I am vegan. I ordered a small veggie pizza (with marinara sauce), with NO cheese. It was delivered to our hotel room; I paid cash. At first glance, the pie was beautiful with all its vegetables atop.... But, at first bite I discovered the dough underneath the sauce was still raw! Also worth noting was the too thick and "doughy" crust. I attempted to eat just the veggie toppings off of two of the six slices and avoid the "crust", but gave up and instead decided to call the store and inform them of this situation. I was told by the manager that I could: 1) get another pie made and re-delivered, 2) get a store credit (we do not live in the area), or 3) get dressed and leave the hotel to drive 5 miles to the store ourselves at 11PM to get a cash refund. We opted for the latter. Warning: Do not try to order *anything other than* your standard cheese pizza pie with toppings from this store -- as it is evident that no one therein knows how to cook a cheese-less pie that *also* doesn't have raw / mushy / undercooked dough underneath the toppings. Note that this has not been an issue with other pizza chains, but not one of them was open and delivering to our hotel on this particular evening. A banana, pear, and English breakfast tea for dinner it is... *Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics of the pie prior to returning it to the store for a refund. So we have ordered here several times over the years (and have had it delivered) with minimal issues. The quality has been decreasing of these years but we stick with you, why? No. Tonight we called to have some delivered and we are met with a "we don't deliver to your house". You have lost our business. During the coronavirus quarantine, this Cottage Inn Pizza is only accepting phone or online prepaid orders for pickup or delivery, to protect their staff and customers as much as possible. And I for one thank them for that. I placed my order online to be picked up at 5:15. It was ready when I arrived and the process and service could NOT have been better!! Just had to call them when I arrived, to let them know I was there to pick up my order and they brought it right to my car. How easy is that?? And the food...pizza and wings...YUM!!! 10/10! I get a gluten free pizza and my boyfriend gets a calzone, we both can't rave enough about how delicious the food is from Cottage Inn! The calzones are giant and perfect when you're more hungry. Honestly finding a good gluten free pizza is hard, but their's is one of the best out there. It is worth a mention that it is a thinner pizza but not not too thin like you find with other G.F pizzas. It is still doughy but not too heavy, the crust is crisp to the right perfection (even better going with butter crust, and a good layer of cheesy. I usually can only eat 2 pieces of pizza but with Cottage's pizza, every time I eat the whole thing in one sitting because it's that good and light enough, surprisingly my stomach has no issue either. 10/10 go try Cottage Inn. read more

The Auburn Hills location is great! I live out-of-town and ordered a special heart- shaped pizza for my son for Valentine's Day. This location doesn't typically make heart-shaped pizzas, but the manager agreed to shape it by hand. I ended up calling back to change the time and a third time to give them my son's apartment and phone numbers. Each time they were patient and kind. The deep dish Greek pizza was delicious and they did not skimp on cheese! We also had the blue cheese crumble cranberry walnut salad with raspberry vinaigrette. It was also very good but I didn't like the bran of salad dressing provided. It tasted very artificial. They delivered to our hotel really quickly and we were able to have a great easy dinner on our first night in Michigan. Definitely would order from here again. read more

Just ok and not as good as other Cottage Inns that I have been to. I ordered a calzone and cheese breadsticks. They forgot the side of ranch, which was disappointing both because I like calzones and breadsticks with ranch more than I do with pizza sauce and also because they charge you 75 cents for it. The cheese breadsticks weren't bad, but swimming in garlic butter. And came with a side of garlic butter in case the pool of it inside the box isn't quite enough. I am not a fan of the herb cream cheese dipping sauce at all. It doesn't have any flavor except plain cream cheese. Definitely not worth $1.50. The calzone was terrible. It was horribly undercooked and very doughy on the inside so I couldn't eat it. I'm going to try to cook it more at home but since I am at work without an oven, my lunch was cut short because I don't enjoy eating raw dough. The top of it was caked in parmesan and garlic butter which was unnecessary flavor-wise and made it a huge mess to eat. Not a fan. read more

I had to work Saturday and I ordered a Steak sub and an antipasto salad. Delivery guy was friendly and on-time. Sandwich was well wrapped and still warm. Salad had a good size and was fresh! We've been coming here regularly for the past several years for their gourmet pizzas. Although we prefer Jet's, the pizza's very good, toppings incredibly generous and the value can't be beat. As a bonus, it's open late. A large, deep dish gourmet pizza sold for $12, with various selections rotated weekly for $11. Unfortunately, they now only place two or three pizzas on special for $13, with the rest being sold at retail for $15 - more than Jet's charges for its gourmet selections. Because of this, we no longer come here as frequently. We've also tried their "regular" pizzas, bread, wings, sandwiches and salads. We've never had a disappointing meal, but all are of average quality at average prices. One of these days we intend on trying their buffet. The staff here is very friendly. Unlike other pizza restaurants, if you pay online, they don't throw the receipt in your face requesting you to complete the gratuity line. That by itself usually leads me to toss some coins into their tip jar :). read more

I place large orders for the office from the auburn hills location and when our order arrived one of the pizzas was supposed to be a thin round and was made deep dish (and unfortunately the person it was for couldn't have all the bread) I called and offered to pay for a new one since staff had eaten some of the other already and they graciously remade and delivered the pizza at no charge! read more
