She was super knowledgeable about the menu, so pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. We ordered cauliflower wings for a starter and they were delicious. Both The Fig and the Pig and Four Cheese pizzas were absolutely amazing ! Decent wine and beer selection and a lot of fun cocktails on the menu. Was looking for a great deep dish pizza that had fresh toppings and a crispy crust. This place checks all the boxes. We had the Tammy Supreme and it was outstanding. Pepperoni, fennel sausage, green peppers, onions, black olives and mushrooms. It was a little pricey at $24, however I'm willing to pay a little more for good quality pizza. One thing we noticed is that they do not skimp on the toppings like other places. It's wall to wall toppings piled high. My wife and I shared this pizza and it worked out great. I am blown away by the uniqueness of this flavor combination: it's a 3-cheese pizza with red sauce and fresh bits of basil, topped with an entire gigantic burrata cheese, then drizzled with with Mike's Hot Honey. I must say that I had their double fried wings yesterday for lunch and I came back to get them for dinner and they were exceptionally well. I'm still giving them five stars. I also bought the wedge salad however I didn't get any napkins or silverware and I was traveling as a passenger back home an hour away so I didn't get to eat my salad and I had to wait till the next day and it Was just OK. I think it would've been better if I could've experienced it when I first got it so if you are reading this Pizza Paya always ensure their are napkins and silverware because you never know if your customer is going back home or traveling. Delicious. I have followed them on Instagram for a while and I'm glad I was finally able to try their pizza.

I drove down to Bloomington from the Chicago suburbs to purchase a car. When we were doing the walk-thru of the tech features and the technician told the car she was hungry, it populated a list of the nearest restaurants based on the highest ratings. At the top of the list was Pizza Payaa with 4.9 stars! After being at the dealership for four hours, this pizza really hit the spot! All the employees were very helpful walking us through the menu and answering our questions since they easily guessed we were newbies. The pizza came out surprisingly fast. The dough was nice and thick yet fluffy with a great crispy edge to it. Not only did the employees stop by to ask how our meal was but they were quick to wrap our leftover pizza to ensure it did not overtake the new car smell on our drive home. If you're in the area or live local I definitely recommend their pizza. I wish they had a location closer to home in the Chicago suburbs! read more

A friend told me about the restaurant so I decided to give it a try. That night I ordered for lunch the next day - pizza and sausage. The total for 1 pizza was just shy of $21. So first finding the place, I knew the general vicinity, it was daylight and I had gps and still drove passed it. For their first time customers especially - It would be helpful for them to include more location detail in the order confirmation such as "inside the building with..." Second the gentleman who waited on me was quite nice and gave me a side of hot honey to try. So that was a nice gesture. We are doing good. Next to the pizza. I could see the oil/grease on the pizza. No problem that's what paper towels are for. I have blotted many pizzas before. If you like pizza for the bread instead of the toppings, cheese or sauce then you will absolutely love this pizza. If you like pizza for the melted cheese you may be disappointed because it's sparingly used. If you like sauce, there's not a lot which is fine by me. If you are a toppings person, the pizza from here may frustrate you. Why? They clump the toppings together. I had 5-6 pepperoni pieces clumped on top of each other. I was like if they had only spread out the toppings and added a tad more cheese. Finally the taste and my "hack" - the crunchy edges and the bottom of the pizza are absolutely delicious- kinda buttery tasting. But due to the thickness of the pizza it's absolutely too much bread for me. So I deconstructed the pizza. Pulled the cheese and toppings off so I could remove a layer of the bread (the spongey part) and then layered the cheese and toppings back onto the remaining bottom part of the pizza. Ate the leftover reconstructed pizza the next day after herring in the over at 375. I will admit it's the best tasting next day pizza. So overall, the pizza is tasty but a bit pricey for the size and the effort I had to put in it to get it the way I wanted it.
